Rescues are amazing! We adopted 8 months ago & my parents recently shopped a fancy new puppy (from a small good breeder at least) I’m still so happy I chose to adopt. Seeing him change en become more self secure and happy every day is amazing to watch! He’s such a sweet & kindhearted boy.
I’ve never been able to understanding how people treat their dog like they’re nothing more than entertainment and don’t want anything to do with them except to be amused by them. Myself and my family have always included our dogs into everything going on like they’re another family member because they ARE another family member! Our lab passed away some time ago now, so now we just have a pug, and she is treated like the queen, as she should be of course.
Thanks for the posting Frankie. We treat our dog and our two cats just like your family treats your dog. It makes for happy dogs, cats, and happy us. David Colton, San Diego
i agree that dogs should be treated as a family member, but i don't think they should be treated like a queen. if they get the feeling that they are the ones in control, it is possible (maybe even likely) that they will become jerks and abuse their power. you want to love them and treat them as part of the pack, but you also need to establish your dominance.
also, dogs don't mind you being the boss. in fact, they like the fact that you are the boss. since dogs are pack animals they need someone to be the leader. if there is no leader in the dog's pack, they get confused and become the leader.
Our dog doesn’t like car rides so he goes to a doggy hotel close to home. He loves it there and runs to the building when we park. The owner is very strange with people but clearly obsessed with dogs. He’s scared of a lot of people but not of her. So for us, it’s better to bring him there when we take a trip than to bring him or leave him with other people.
I sing gently to my dog when I brush her. Before I started singing or humming, she hated being brushed, now, with soft sounds she relaxes. Thanks for the great channel!
Awww man I just got teary eyed cuz my dog will give me space when I’m upset and when I’m happy he’s happy it’s like our moods are always in sync🥺 I don’t deserve him😭 I love him sm💗
Nothing calms me down when I'm pissed off better than my dog just looking at me. I always start laughing and he carefully approaches and gets happy that I'm laughing again.
There’s some people that love themselves so much that a dog wouldn’t have time for them. Or vice versa You’ve got to show your dog that you love your dog. Then you’ll get the most love back
I disagree! Flip the letters and you will find who loves you more. Flip it back and you'll know who loves you secondly the most. Still confused Its God(Yeshua) and then a Dog who loves you 💕💕💕💕
I have a deaf rescue dog. She was badly treated but is living the life now. We don’t need words, in no time at all we “got” each other, and by using hand signals she understands what love is now and that’s all that matters really😀💖💖
Our pup Cocoa passed 2 years ago on the 28 Nov 2019. It still hurts so much. She was 17 and I know we were lucky but I would have traded my years for her to still be with us.
You know, tomorrow, my dog is going to get put down. He lived for 11 years but it's just so hard. I loved him more than my own life. He helped me through everything.

It comforts them and lets them know you loved them as much as they loved you.
I’ve had the extreme pleasure of having four dogs in my lifetime. Each with there own personalities and quirks. Those four covered 58 of the 64 years I have lived. It never got any easier when they passed. Still there is rarely a day that goes by that a smile won’t come across my face from a remembrance of one or more of them. Dogs love you unconditionally. Unfortunately they are with us for only a short time. But they sure pack a lot of memories into our lives in the time they are with us.

I adopted a shelter dog 3 months ago. I would highly recommend reading 2 dog training books before you get the dog. Brandon McMillan's Lucky Dog, and Cesar Millan's Cesar's Way. My dog is a pit bull mix, he weighs 55 lbs (1 yr old, now) and he is pretty well behaved for only being with me for 3 months.

My dog (German Shepherd) sometimes sneaks out the door when it is opened by a child etc & is gone in a split second...therefore I decided when she goes for walks in the neighborhood, I go the same route so if she gets out, she is usually found around that route. IF I am going to a nearby bike trail/park, I drive there, that way she wont be tempted to run FAR & into traffic. Since it has been SO cold & was nice today 60°, I thought, screw it, we need a LONG walk in the neighborhood and ALMOST just started going WHEREVER our legs took us, but then changed my mind and walked our usual walk around the block, prob 5 times. Is this dumb?
Dogs like chest rubs over belly rubs? You’ve never met my sister’s dog. It rolls over and demands a belly rub. She closes her eyes and goes into total bliss.
We adopted Zoey 4 months ago at a rescue center. She is 7 yrs old and spent a month at the rescue center. We realized due to her age it was unlikely she would be adopted and would likely spend the rest of her life at the center behind a cage door. We began feeding her Dr. Marty's Nature's Blend and she has experienced an amazing change. Her coat has become sleek and silky, her eyes are brighter, she has doubled her energy level and she has become the wonderful little girl we were sure was inside her little body. With increased activity and her new healthy diet she even lost the pound she needed to lose. Now her tail is up and resembles a white waterfall. She is a delight and the most loving little dog you could ever imagine. Thank you Dr. Marty for changing our little girl's life. We look forward to spending many more years loving Zoey.
We decided to go with Dr. Marty's Nature blend. I'm absolutely stunned by my dogs reaction to it. If I mix it in with her 'normal' food, she pushes that aside with her nose until she gets every lost morsel of that freeze fried stuff and leaves the rest. At age 75, I've had a wide variety of dogs in my lifetime. My Golden Doodle ('standard' 10 months old and over 80 lbs.) is a study in how dogs become almost human. I feel her food has a lot to do with it. I'm not a shill for Dr. Marty, but that food is worth EVERY nickel - and I have a very loving, healthy animal. It's difficult to express how blessed I feel about 'Lexi.'
I love getting back home from work knowing there's my dog, bunny and two cats waiting for me. I'm super lucky all of them are super cuddly and playful and get along perfectly fine 💙
Raised my 2 babies from 8 weeks, now almost 4 years old, they are the most loving dogs ever, 90lb lapdog and 70lb lapdog. They jump up at me every time but don't usually jump on. Excited to see dad when he comes home, and I'm excited to see them. I love my fur babies, not sure what I would do without them.
I totally agree about that!! Plus they get out unwanted stress and energy if you take them to a dog park to play even for just half an hour. I own an Australian Shepard so they are full of energy so taking him to the dog park is part of my daily routine and I’m telling you it really pays off because I don’t have to deal with his craziness haha

That's what I love about walking with dogs they see ,hear and sense things people don't and there's some things people can pick up on that dogs can't and when u become aware of that its a wonderful thing
A vacation with my dog was one of the best trips , I had. Road Trip from Toronto to Florida with my German Shepherd (Kali) - overnight stay at dog friendly hotels in USA and camping.
I really struggled to find pet friendly hotels that actually didn’t charge an extra fee. I search for one that had an indoor pool and hot tub free breakfast and pets stay free I could not find that combination
Getting home from work and having my dog wait for me by the door to get his hug is priceless. He still sleeps on my chest just like when he was 6wks and a few pounds and now he’s 5yrs and probably 60lbs.
Humans can learn so much from dogs. My first dog saved from from the last of the damage in my mind from narcisstic abuse. Imfeel like I grew up with him. He is more of a brother to me than my abusers were able to be.... I was then able to rescue two dogs and do for them, what my first dog did for me....🙂😎🙂

I have two very nice rescue dogs, which you can see on my youtube channel. I adopted them from Romania, where they lived very hard. I found Bruno next to a dumpster when he was four months old. He was scared, hungry, dusty. He had fleas and a onset of parvovirus. Onyx, the female, was found in a dumpster when she was three weeks old. She had been put in a tied plastic bag. @@birddaddydetta wasn't really a question. It was a joke saying that I'm supposed to leave them alone while they eat, while they beg everytime I get something to eat.

15 for 15😝 Found my puppy on the streets one night in China. I'm now making sure not a day goes by when he does not feel like he is the most important person in the world.
Seeing this video while I'm sitting next to my puppy's grave who was with me 10 years.. unfortunately he was bitten by some aggressive dogs which led to the loss of blood. I REALLY MISS HIM MORE THAN MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
The worst thing is that I'm an introvert, He was the one and only friend ever close to my heart. Whenever I return home, I really miss his affection. It's been 1 month 10 days since he left me, it took 1 month to recover from this heartbreaking incident, Now I feel like more than an introvert,I'm being completely alone😔
That must have been awful. There is a poem the Rainbow Bridge I often say to people to read it. It helps I think because you never forget any of your pets.
One of the most beautiful events in our home is bed time. Just before she goes to sleep our Miniature Poodle Lulu will kiss us on the forehead. We never taught her this. It is something she started as a puppy. A very special moment ❤️
My dogs know my walking clothes and even which socks I wear😆. My terrier loves lying on my clean clothes and on my pillow (😩) while my other dog prefers my unwashed clothes. I think animals are as important as humans and have equal value.
My dog steals girl’s underwear... my nieces, mom, GF (when I have one), aunts. Goes right in the dirty laundry and looks around but ONLY girls underwear. If you’re going to tell me to get a new basket trust me I tried, he’s either going to brake it open or just let him take the panties and sniff for god knows how long. He doesn’t rip them.
I just want to share this, when I go to the forest with my dog to find fruits. I lost my direction, I don't know where to go out and it was already raining. I was worried and about to cry when my dog runs in the other direction and stopped he looks at me like he was saying that this is the way out. So I followed him and I was amazed when I saw the way out. He even waited for me and when I said that he goes first he run again to go home. I don't know, this is my first experience. My dog is not trained too. I was just amazed that he help me out to the forest. Ps. Sorry, I'm not good at English so bear with me.
One of the favorite games my dog likes to play is finding her toy. I'll hide it under her dog bed and she spends the next 5 minutes trying to "dig" it out. Then when she finds it, she flops on her bed in triumph over her newly gained reward. It's really cute.😊
Every time I get ready to go somewhere my dog jumps our baby gate and runs to the door and stares up at it. Although we don’t take him on walk every time we walk up to the door when we do he’s so happy!
Came here for motivation to walk my dog.... Within a minute, I was convinced. Walking is the best part of my buddy Rocky's life... Morning, Arvo, or night . He is always up for fun and adventure 🙌🇦🇺🙏🏻 Taking him now to see the sun rise 😍🌟❤️
16 an untrained dog is an unhappy dog. Start with 5 minute training and move up to 15 minutes max before you switch out to random fun. They use obedience as a form of language with you. Test when they are old enough to start training by playing with a ball, throwing it under arug or blanket and timing how long they stay interested. At 2 minutes still searching and she is ready to begin learning obedience then tricks.
My dog like all these things but a favourite is ”readingpaperwalks” when he makes the roedchoise and can sniff as long as he want’s all the walk often about 2-3 hours❤️
My dog (German Shepherd) will wait until i get home...(and by home, I mean, in the same room as her & her food) to eat her food! Even if it's like her favorite canned food, she will wait!
My dogs all seem to love a certain kind of petting on their heads. When I very gently, and softly, move my hand from between their eyebrows back toward their neck, they visibly relax. Even closing their eyes and drifting off to sleep. They also have a habit of using their muzzle to push my hand onto their heads.
I always tried rubbing and scratching places they couldn't get to. For instance, our retriever loved having his butt scratched. He would nudge my hand with his nose then turn around and present it. It was like saying "get to work buddy."
Dogs are the most loving and loyal, growing up I had a lab named Thor, he was my best friend, in the last few months of his life he was declining but was as happy and loving as can be, wagging tail and all, the day after Christmas he was really sick and his time was close, I was at work but he held on and lasted until I got home from work just to say goodbye , he wagged his tail when I got home and petted him and gave him his favorite treat, and he closed his eyes and that was it, I will never forget my best fur friend and the 15 years we had together
I’ve had my dog Smokey for about 12 years but still this video has certainly been enlightening for me. Thank you so much for all those tip, speaking for myself I can say that it’ll definitely help me make my pup as happy as possible.

Because their life is shit ty
Our dog doesn’t like car rides so he goes to a doggy hotel close to home. He loves it there and runs to the building when we park. The owner is very strange with people but clearly obsessed with dogs. He’s scared of a lot of people but not of her. So for us, it’s better to bring him there when we take a trip than to bring him or leave him with other people.

Dogs are one of the GREATEST CREATIONS that Almighty God has Ever Blessed Us with !!!...Great Video...God Bless You and Yours !!!
I always tried rubbing and scratching places they couldn't get to. For instance, our retriever loved having his butt scratched. He would nudge my hand with his nose then turn around and present it. It was like saying "get to work buddy."
My dog will rip my clothes if I leave them alone 😂😂😹🤣
Same 😂😂😂👍
My oxytocin levels have gone up just by looking at these adorable puppies.
Me too
Dogs are the most loving and loyal, growing up I had a lab named Thor, he was my best friend, in the last few months of his life he was declining but was as happy and loving as can be, wagging tail and all, the day after Christmas he was really sick and his time was close, I was at work but he held on and lasted until I got home from work just to say goodbye , he wagged his tail when I got home and petted him and gave him his favorite treat, and he closed his eyes and that was it, I will never forget my best fur friend and the 15 years we had together

I’ve had my dog Smokey for about 12 years but still this video has certainly been enlightening for me. Thank you so much for all those tip, speaking for myself I can say that it’ll definitely help me make my pup as happy as possible.
