Iirc NomadThunder wanted to redo the mod from the ground up, due to several issues with the mod like the crashes, I recall he worked with me and Scrubb in order to do some stuff, I haven't worked with him in a while though. 6:02 note for the covenant side is that most of the units for it are unaccessible and some techs are unusable and even upgrading the main base results in some options being made visible or not visible, (basically covenant faction wasn't really given the same amount of attention as the UNSC in this mod)
You missed a couple things. The Super fortress can be built multiple times at base slots, anders research tower has ALOT of upgraded (buildings,infantry,air,leaders), Near the landing pad of the super fortress you can build a radio pelican and train leaders from it
While I'm here I want to mention the time on Memorial Basin where I was stopping my ally AI from killing the last enemy base by stacking Reactor Elephants and building fences and airlocks in order to block all ground units and maccing my allied Air units. it was peak hilarity.
Modded halo wars content has infinite potential. Many mods new and old give countless oppertunities for pvp. That space is pretty small but you got your friends to play with andy. Theres even a great mod manager out there to make playing these mods easy. I know you're the halo wars 2 guy but im sure some modded hw1 pvp wont hurt the algorithm too much :)
Idk if you have ever mentioned this Andy, but wouldnt environmental effects on maps be a cool addition to the game (ex: on a desert map a random sandstorm rolls in for a random amount of time effecting unit vision)
It would be cool, if Halo Wars 3 have more Building options, but of the same kind. Like in this mod with the different types of eg Aircraft Center Menus, but split into separate Buildings or that you have to research it, but you have decide which one you want to have for your strat. Something like the Landmark System in AoE4, but for every type of building. And maybe separate those for different playstyles like offense, defence and support. So that you get the "offensive aircrafts" with hornets, hawks and falcons in upgunned versions or the "supports" with different types of pelicans, which can use smoke barriers, emp's and healing. And of corse all the same for the other buildings, so you can go for an extremely aggressive style with all buildings upgraded to offense or mix it up so that your defensive vehicles bolster your offensive infantry, while your aircrafts support them, or vice versa. This would open up for so many playstyles whitout beeing to overwhelming, as having all units at the same time. With a system like this you have to scout your enemy and based on its buildings/upgrades you will know which units he is able to deploy and which he cannot. I also think this would be crazy for teamgames where you can split your roles like one is striktly going for support and helping the other two and so on. (I also whish you could land the medic pelican as an ability to get a less strong heal, but instead a single unit it heals in an Aura. So you can use it as a kind of field hospital to regroup your units on the front) And if you start then to get the different leader abilities an bonuses in, you can create an really deep RTS which may be easy to learn, but hard to master. I would love it! Also this system would not make it to complex or unplayable on controller, because the only thing you change are makro options, the micro stays the same, but you get more options and play styles. If you use this for campaign and I encourage this. For the mission where you have to tell Anders to go to a Pelican, Forage will be in a warthog. Have him get downed out of it then go through the teleport. If you do not it will eventually crash the game
Would love to see bases like this in Halo Wars 3 but they'd probably have to up the scale of the maps and battles. Imagine Halo Wars but Supreme Commander levels of huge.
Did you do anything differently to install the mod Following your last upload IE. making a path to the mod folder, I can barely play the mod for 10 minutes before a random crash dooms it
After all the requests put in to have the Hornet and the Falcon in the same game, to say nothing of adding new Covenant vehicles, aircraft, and boats, 343 Industries and Creative Assembly were very clearly and sadistically denying the fans that option with the Wasp and the Nightingale. Yeah, I'd like to see if the Covenant side is as fleshed out. The Forerunner base needs Enforcer Sentinels, by the way. A lot of units in Halo Wars 2 seemed to be Empire at War units reskinned, and did not feel like Halo...possibly leading on from the Mantis which looks like one shot with a Sniper rifle could disconnect the piloting box from the legs, compared to the Cyclops, which is heavily armoured.
To be honest I would have did all the upgrades just to see if there was any other Vehicle variances And unit variances Because a lot of them look like the head upgrades
Also I would have loved to have played this version to be honest but I don't know you even know how to get that version even installed I would love to be able to play on that version
When Halo Wars 3 comes out ,*cries*, some sort of 5v5 mode with giant bases like this would be so cool 😭😭😭

I would love to see the base slots shifted to remove clipping, but still a wonderful work of passion.

Whenever I launch the game with that mod selected as the manifest, it crashes the game. Is there a fix?
In case it helps, it happens after 343's logo finishes animating. My mouse will appear then I'll be kicked out of the game
