Exactly as pointed and explained. I opened it removed the circuit board and sprayed it with contact cleaner. It started working. Thanks a million for the video clips .
OH MY GOSH!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! I had a two gallon jug of water tip over back there and almost all the water came out before I could stop the car, jump to the back and right it. Since then, those lights stopped (actually they wouldn’t turn off at all for a few days then they stopped) working. I’ve have the spare and the sub and the floor out for a week. Checked the bulbs and fuses. I’m about to grab that motherboard out of there and stick it in rice. Fingers crossed🤞. I appreciate you taking the time to show how you fixed yours.
Brother thank you very much for your help took it apart and same thing so what happened is I installed led lightbar and didn’t put cap on the fuse box and water got onto plates and fried running light relay after finding the box on pick and pull (60$) I installed it and evrything back to normal again thank you for staying in touch.
same situation im in right now with mine thanks for this video hopefully itll fix my problem. also which other fuses control the blinkers? and where will they be located?
Damn the only other thing that I could think to check would be to pop off the radio Bezel and look for any broken wires or loose connections, theres a tape wire behind it thats prone to break but I dont think thats it because mind broke along time ago so I removed it and didn't notice any change lol. If u remove the bezel be really careful they break easy I broke mine and it's like 300 for a new 1 with the buttons and 100 for a cracked 1 without the buttons 🤦
Lol you're welcome! Idk why the engineers that designed the fx35 thought it would be a good idea to have that box where people carry groceries water milk lol Goodluck
Thanks for the vid it helped me out in a big big way, and I don't even own 1 of these. I pulled the tail lamps off a 07 fx35 and going to custom graph them in the rear of my 1950 hudson
@Michael Long lg? The hudson is gonna be like 1 off build, ls6 swap 6 speed tranzmittin, air ride, mustang rear end, chevy s10 front clip, hell I even got bucket seats all electric with seat warmers from a 2011 lincoln towncar and they fit perfect
If u replaced the bulb and it's still not working then it's most likely the headlight ballast which is located under the headlight right in front of the tire it's a common issue for them to get wet and go out If u buy a new 1 then online they're under 100ish but u can also find them in a junk yard also i believe the Nissan murano uses the same 1 as well as g35 and a few others Definitely a pain in the ass considering how much 1 headlight bulb cost at oriellys
@@BlackWidowdetailing thank you.. I have checked fuses and they were ok. Same side fog light also when out with no visible blown fuses.. Are those linked somehow?
@@ceavalencia4767 no the fog light is it's own thing it just uses a regular bulb without a ballast I have a fog light out as well it's been out for 2 years I still haven't replaced the bulb 🤣
There's 2 switches side by side in a bracket they're small and parallel to each other 1 is brown and the other is white. I don't remember forsure but I believe the brown one is for the taillamps
I tried the rice for 24 , didn't work. But your situation matched yours, just that mine was wet with water and not an energy drink. The new part arrived today which I got and ebay for 100$ and that fixed the problem. Thanks man, you saved me lots of money on an electrical mechanic...
Awesome I'm glad it helped sucks u couldn't save it but yeah electrical issues are a pain in the ass forsure I only knew to check that thing because at 1 point in time I had subs and Amps hooked up, I had to bypass the stock amplifier which is on the opposite side of the turn signal switch thing so that's how I knew it was there and once I noticed the energy drink exploded I figured that it probably got on the switch Also it's common for rain water to drip down the seals if there bad and get on the switch u might look into replacing the seals if they're bad
I don't believe so but it is super easy to take the 3rd brake light out and check it. There's 3 cover tabs on the inside above the glass, pop those off and inside the holes there should be a nut, I'm not sure the size maybe 8mm just unscrew all 3 and the 3rd bake light should pop off, I've never taken mine out tho so just be careful there may be some clips that hold it on as well but idk forsure. Hope this helps man
Having same issue. I found remnants of water after lifting out spare tire but no signs the control module was wet. Anyone have any suggestions on how to test it to see if it's bad? I have a voltmeter just not sure what to test. Neither rear turn signal works nor do my rear brake lights although the third brake light and my reverse lights still work.
That sounds like it might be the same problem, but I wouldn't know how to test it with a volt meter. I've had mine do it a couple of times now from water seeping in through the weather trim on the outside But with mine, every time it fully dries out, it works again
So just to follow up on this. I removed the module. Let it sit in rice overnight anyways in case moisture that could not be seen was trapped somewhere then decided the next morning to clean the board and all contacts with alcohol then used a hair dryer on cool to just ensure it was dry and clean then reconnected the module and everything has been working for the past week. No idea which of those things I did fixed it but it seems to have fixed it at least for the short term. Good luck to anyone else that experiences this.
@Joe Hughes Lol yeah water and electronics can be tricky 🤣 U could maybe wrap in plastic so it doesn't get wet again but I'm not sure if that's a good idea or bad I have a couple towels around mine to hopefully soak up any water that gets in it

update it was the same exact problem u had purchased one from ebay and all my lights came back on thank u
Hell yeah Glad i could help! 🙂 Thanks for the update
Hey did your interior lights go out too? The ones that light up buttons like ac and radio? Thank you
No just the blinker issue. Have you checked all your fuses?
I checked number 71 10a behind battery it was good
So my interior light went out and running lights in back only front ones work and rear blinkers and brake light works
