The TCG names for this archetype is amazing. "Despia, Theater of The Branded" just sound all kinds of badass
I love how it's called a "Theater" and basically mocks the Dogmatika archetype being a church and place of worship 😂
Dogmatika is what I consider to be a perfect archetype. It has amazing cards, added support from 2 extra archetypes, one of the GREATEST pieces of lore, fantasic art, and the cherry on top is the Despia. It has probably the best use of themes i have ever seen. It adds to this archetype in all the right ways. I don’t know why theatrical elements works so well with religious themes, but it just works. My only qualm is the lack of Despia cards but that might soon be taken care of.
Anyway, that’s just my personal opinion.

But yeah, totally agree. Lot of good card design that's effective without being a 30 step combo.
It definitely rivals World Legacy in terms of archetypes with lots of lore.
Dogmatika and The Abyss Lore in general are also pretty incredible because of the various Dark Souls references, for example the fact that lightning is highly effective against Dragons

I love Dogmatika but I was hoping I could have a Ritual Dogmatika monster that has the same exact effect as Starliege Photon the Blast Dragon. Dude.. That would be sooooo fuckin cool and it would fit the lore too. Something likeee
LVL8 Dogmatika Theo, The Iron Shield.
When ritual summoned: You can special summon 1 "Dogmatika" or "Fallen of Albaz" from hand or GY. You cannot special summon monsters from the extra deck unless it has "Fallen of Albaz" in it's text. Your opponent cannot target or destroy monsters you control with 1,500ATK or more with card effects. Once per turn, you can add a dogmatika card or "Fallen of Albaz" from the GY to your hand, then discard a card.

Interestingly, super polymeration works extremely well with this archetype, because the fusion monsters need light and dark monsters

To be honest I think Albert may be the puppeteer. His effects can kinda show this with when a fusion or "puppet" dies this makes the puppeteer show themself. This could also lead to more Despia fusions that are Eclesia' armor or fallen Tri-brigades gear or clothing
The stories become more and more interesting as time progresses
They work well with darklords and I'm excited for that
Have to say this. This archetype looks fun, especially stealing stuff like Dragoon. But here is a thought. Why not use Freightfurs. The Fluffals allow the Light Attribute and the Edge Imps allow the Dark Attribute. Plus with how many can search Fusion spells means you have a high chance to fuse basically anything. Also the new Fusion, Freightfur Cruel Whale can activate the Despia Fusion’s floating effects.
So in summary, Despia looks fun and Freightfurs have great synergy.

Hyped as hell to see this being covered, people were scrambling to try to make sense of all these cards, and you did a great job streamlining all of this, even though I think we'll still need some more cards to really solidify the details. When we have to speculate if a monster is in the past or a clone, you know some stuff is missing.
I checked out some of the high quality rips of these cards and I did notice a few (barely) interesting tidbits;
- Stigmatika theatre is definitely rising from the ground. Rubble is falling around it, indicating it was buried under the city and rose from the hole dragging it out.
- Theo is clearly the leftmost silhouette on Springans Interluder, but the right one could be someone else, since they have a staff that doesn't match Adin and even the concept art doesn't match his demeanor. It probably is him redesigned all things conisdered, but it would be an interesting twist if he was the one who stayed with Dogmatika.
- On Stigmatika Curtain Rise, Shuraig, Rugal and Ferijit are present but the rest are missing, may have been killed by Dogmatika or Despia, you can tell they're getting their asses kicked, as Quaeritis breaks their blue energy canisters and swipes so fast that Shuraig doesn't notice it grabbing his gun.
- It's a bit clearer on the hi-res art that Ecclesia on Bond of Stigmatika has a calm smile and no fear of the giant burning dragon, like she knows this will work. They better give us more cards of this precious bean damnit
- Despian Proscenium has golden chains that go back to the centre, which look like a throne that wasn't present on Nexus. Still an overcomplicated clusterfuck in hires too, many were expecting a synchro archetype for this story, at least they resemble snychros by being hard to look at!
- Albert has enough differences that I personally don't think he will turn out to be Albaz, but similar enough they have to be at least from the same land. Could be from the same "Experiment" which could include cloning or brainwashing.
Can't wait for more of this stuff, World legacy was the most consistent story we were given for cards, I feel this better implements the effects to match the lore, and you can stack ALL of these archetypes together! I mean you _shouldn't_ but they can compete at tier 3.
We have one card called "branded in white" with albaz on the picture and an upcoming card called "branded in red" where you can see albert. I guess both of them are part of good and evil lore

BRO! You’re dropping knowledge on this one!! I can see the connections!! The whole Albaz/Dogmatika lore was always interesting to me since I first played the cards but now even more so! An evil force hiding behind a church may not be new but this iteration is just so interesting! And I never would have guessed the Despia monsters to literally be armor/objects possessed and come alive. It’s just so out there to me. I love it! This would be a good ass show!!

I mean you joke about Albert BUT Albert Wesker was the recurring villainous mastermind of the Resident Evil franchise up to RE5 where Chris Redfield punched him over and over until Wesker was forced over the edge into a volcano.
Also there’s Dr. Albert Wily from the MegaMan series who has tried to take over the world with destructive robots FOR YEARS
Yeah, but that proves what I'm saying, right? They always call him 'Wesker'! The Megaman games are all about fighting 'Dr. Wily'! It's such a non-threatening name that they have to try and bury it!
Wily is supposed to be a dig at Albert Einstien....theoretically.

Going to be honest I like how things are going within this story. However if there's one archetype that also got my attention that was Magikey. Their a few things about it that reminder of some of the other Storylines that Konami has done in the especially the World Legacy.
Yeah, I'm totally stumped when it comes to Magikey. May just be another small standalong like Tenyi? But we'll have to wait until the next set to see.
The connection really makes sense. Fleur de lis and iris are familiar Flowers. That in connection with the hair and type plus stats seems that fleur became iris. Before your lore I've never realized that.

The art of the cards alone made me interested in the lore. Most despia cards have insane art. And names like Dramaturge, Tragedy, Comedy, and Theater of the Branded are so hype for some reason.

Cant the saint in dogmatika genesis be Albert? I mean, red hair, braided pigtails (one is made from hair, one is made from stigmatika holes), religious/court robes, etc.

Just noticed that the design of the newly appointed dogmatika character roughly resembles the one of despian of comedy (the head thing and robes) and despian of tragedy kinda resembles dogmatika ashiyan... How deep does this children card game go?
Hopefully we get to see new (and actually useful) versions of Theo and Aldin.
But more importantly... When will konami release the 69 dogmatika commandment?
Yeah, I could go for some new versions of a LOT of the old Dogmatika monsters. I hope we seen an expansion of the 'Bewitching Iris' archetype, and that's were we get the new Ecclessia, Theo and Adin.

Could be! I think we need to wait for more solid evidence to say for certain, but I think it's a solid theory!
Additional support for that theory is that Albert has "braids" made from the dark stigmatas place as the saint, and they are even a similar shape, both having the appearance of overlapping diamonds.

It could be that Albert and the Fallen of Albaz are two separate entities. If Maximus is not actually a person (as in your theory) probably the Fallen of Albaz was trying to stop Albert from whatever he was plotting. It really is such am interesting story. Really love this channel. I believe that whoever can piece lores like these together is a genius.

Honestly, when it comes to Loagaeth's connection with Ecclessia, I think it's a stretch. But I've made my fair share of stretches in this series, I can't judge xD
IF Loagaeth is Ecclessia, or part of the lore for this segment in general, there are some questions we need to answer. 1) Why does she support Fairies, who are currently a type represented by the invading force, and 2) What was the inciting incident that transitioned them from Ecclessia to Loagaeth?
@@GoldenNovaYugioh If i remember, The Despia was also Fairy type as she does, and it was also synergize to them, next I am curious also the color scheme of hers compare to Dramaturgia... and also I am curious also that both her and Ecclesia have a symbol in her forhead...
We DO know a red-headed twin tail person who is with the Dogmatika. The person seen on Dogmatika Genesis. She is kneeling, but she would be about as tall as Albert standing up. It would also fit as Albert would simultaneously be the replacement for both Eccelssia and Albaz. Also since the english translation for Albaz came from the latin word Albus, then it would be safe to say that the english translation for albert would be on the lines of Rubaz which would be latin for Ruber in which means red. It would also make Rubaz almost sound like Ruby.
so that's why we got Aluber instead of Albert, it's a mixed name half-heartedly conveying a Japanese wordplay

What if the saint is Albert? The saints purpose was just to wear one of the relics, so the despia god/Satan had a body they could exist in.

Not gonna hear me complaining about that! If a bunch of people comment the same thing, there might be something special about it!
If you draw Albaz and Fusion Deployment you can summon Dark Magician, use the field spell to fuse Albaz and DM for Dragoon. Then if you've drawn the Branded of White fusion spell you can make a second Dragoon. There's new support coming out that let's you search Albaz beyond using Nadir, so it's easier access to that. This archtype is going to be so abused.

I see this Archetype almost as a parallel to the Darklords, as each are a attribute opposite to what there type is associated with. Now when can I get a Pyro archetype with water attribute, or a Rock with wind.

I realized after you talked about him for 20 seconds (and you're probably gonna make this connection later in the vid) that the despian proscenion is just the dark dogmatika nexus
This is dope I didnt think youd cover the new cards till we got a little more lore. Personally I think eclasia had more to do with albaz transformation into blacklad then fleur's lightning just based on the art of bond of stigmatika. Im not ruling out fleur's lightning entierly though. My theory on albert is he is dramaturgia's ideal version of albaz. Maybe albaz is some sort of despian experiment gone wrong and albert is the perfected version loyal to dramaturgia. Or he's albaz evil twin/clone.

Personally, I hope they add a new dama lore archetype that's focused on synchro. You figure Tri-brigade is link, Spriggun is xyz, Despia and Albaz is Fusion. Looking at the rest of the archethypes we have has machines that are weapon and ammo. Tri-brigade is freedom fighters/rebels. So I thin it'd be cool to mane the "new" Archetype have a theme of something like despia's ancient enemy that got awakened or the survivors of dogmatika under the lead of the nameless saint, like they saw the corruption before it happened.

Despia is one of my favorite archtypes solely from how goofy it is. It was not a huge surprise that Maximus had something shady going on behind the whole fantasy pope thing. But his master plan of using the power of the hole to transform everyone in Dogmatika into theater-obsessed murder faeries? That comes so far out of left field that I can't help but love it.
Wait. Then this connects to the Solemn lore. The Old Man of the heavens uses lightning (possibly Raigeki) to punish those who follow the path of evil as in the case of the lady who has touched the forbidden objects. Also, it's comical that since both lore subjects use catholic/church themes the number 666 also plays an important role.

@@GoldenNovaYugioh Hopefully, it does. In another comment chain I've theorized that all lores in Yugioh! are connected through the different dimension depicted through the card, Dimension Fissure. It's possibly the missing puzzle piece to unify all archetypal stories. It's kind of just like the Smash series where you have the Master Hand (i.e the player) and the characters from a broad range of game franchises that fight against it. However in Yugioh! the Dimension Fissure pops things into existence or transports them from one plane to the other.
Honestly im pretty happy that the names got changed to branded instead of stigmatika it just easier to remember and rolls of the tongue better

Hey Golden, Albert has same stats as albaz, and notice those dark symbols, in all of these cards, are from albaz Knight and it's ritual spell, are those Portals to said void, or is it the sign of their power
I wonder if the orbs on Quaeritis are actually dragon eyes and that's the connection. They were hunting Fallen of Albaz just like the rest of his dragon kind.
Despian Comedy might be what happened to Saint in Dogmatika Genesis, note the arrow shaped pieces at the end of her hair look similar to the ends of the chains on Despian Comedy. In fact the braided hair even looks like chains.

I would watch the hell out of an anime of the story of Albaz and Ecclesia.
Don't you think that Albert is the girl on Genesis ? The hair match the "portals" on Albert head.

I think Dracrown Mysterion being an upgraded Maximus still holds because I feel like that kind of power was his last resort as Dogmatika before calling upon the Hole and Despia.
And at that point there wouldn't be a need to maintain the "illusion" hence why we wont be seeing Dracrown anymore
now here's my theory, look 21:46, albert has red hair same like the new saint in the genesis, so i think the new saint is albert and starting to corrupt and changes everything become what looks like now. or it can be she is the mastermind of the corruption of maximus and other thing happen in dogmatika nation. or it can be too the mastermind is maximus and the new saint was converted into albert
Not outside the realm of possibility. I hope the Valuable Book can help shed some light on this, it SHOULD cover a lot of last cycle's sets, which would include the one Genesis released in.

Albaz who was captured and possessed
An Evil Twin or Version of Albaz
or Its the stigmatika energy Albaz absorbed but it became corrupted and formed Albert/Jester
but then again who knows maybe its Albaz in disguise as some sort of scout and thats why he's the jester

Man, I already liked the card art of Dogmatika cards, (since I use them to enable Shaddolls) but now, I reeeeally want an yugioh anime, where its not card games, but just this story.
It would focus on Ecclesia as the main character, as she helps Albaz with his dragonitis. A big focus would be on her struggle to find her faith again after it was revealed that her pope was a front for these fiendish clowns, and her close relationship with Fleurdelis, who overcame her own stigmatika. Ecclesia wouldn't want to get rid of her stigma though, because she still has faith, and would resolve to restore the church of Dogmatika, but this time not as a veneer for EVIL THEATER KIDS. She would resolve to make it the church she always thought it was, that teaches virtue and kindness. Also, Fleurdelis would join the tri-brigades and help found a shadow order of knights sworn to guard against the hole. In the end, we would be graced with "Dogmatika Ecclesia Maximus, the Righteous" and "Dogmatika Albaz, the Knighted" who defend the people, and fight back against the Hole.
Naturally, the springans and tri-brigades would show up too, and offer a large cast of compelling characters.
I mean if league of legends made thier arcane series, why not this? Id be satisfied we even a graphic novel series or anything haha! I hope more games get good series attention with all the different streaming platforms. They just need the right directors who know how to make a real story come to life

Could be the church becomes warped by the power despia wield. Also just saw in the artwork that the kneeling girl we don't know anything of yet seems to have a random strand of different coloured hair. Maybe that can give us a clue ?
I still have an inkling that VFD's banishment has something to do with all these, considering them diamond shape markings. We already know that the True Draco's stories are related to the Duel Terminal war, and them diamond shapes have always been correlated to the main bad guys, which are either the Qliphorts or the Infernoids, and we really still have no concrete knowledge of the nature of "the hole" and where it originated.
It's possible that all card lores are unified dimensionally (pun intended). I still hinge on the belief that the origin of monsters is through the dimensional fissure (a hole to another plane of existence).

The opening joke you made about the church being a mask for a demonic secret, is actually a reference to Silent Hill, since Konami owns both games.
I think these archetypes are partly based on William Blake's mythology, I'm seeing some parallels between Albez and Orc and perhaps the Hole or what lies beyond the Hole represents the original Albion that divided into the 4 Zoa and Dogmatica and Maximus represent the rational theological tyrant Urizen, also there may be a loose connection between the great sand sea gold Golgonda and the city built by Los, Golgonooza; perhaps the city became buried in sand and the Sprigguns come from the buried city born from the city's imaginative technology. There's other loose connections but I'm not gonna list them all as I have yet to compile them comprehensively 😅

@@anotherme3476 thank you! I feel like these archetypes might have more than just one inspiration similar to legendary Pokemon designs having many layered inspirations. The William Blake mythology fits pretty well for a lot of it and fits loosely in other parts but I feel like they're maybe other lore basis inspiration in those other parts; like the Tri Brigade is a lil difficult to pin down a William Blake inspiration for them. I'm happy my theory is gaining traction tho 😁
