I dare say that I've mastered the art of DW, as it's the only deck I really played to a big extent. The support it got with the new structure deck is immense. I still do not understand the point of running Dangers. I've tried to give them a go, played different quantities etc, and I still do not understand the point of running them. They are just unnecessary clogs in the deck that has ZERO need for them. They add so much randomness that isn't needed, for effects that are not needed, and they are not even that strong to begin with anyway. Why would I wanna risk a bad discard or a general unknown result of an action for a subpar effect? Already having 15 cards in a 40 card deck that lets you discard, so it's almost guaranteed that you get to draw at least one of them on your starting hand. I didn't even include Corridor here. Then, you have a lot of monsters to discard that I won't list here, but it's basically roughly the remainder of the deck, with DW Brainwashing and DW Punishment. First of all, if you do not get interrupted by a hand trap, even without running Sillva (who's banned in Master Duel), you can make an unbeatable board 95% of the time (1 out of 20 times you will brick, maybe even less than that). Bro really wrote an essay about why he's bad at playing dark worlds Dark world is a combo deck ok, you're playing some other sh** Dangers are one of the main engines, and allow combos much easier, while also increasing resilience against hand traps. Fyi , after ceruli discarded and special summoned into opponents field , it means that “your opponent must discard 1 card “ effect refers to us , so we can decide which card that we want to discard, this happens cuz after being special summoned, ceruli belongs to our opponent monster not us , so its second effect refers to us

Great video dude. Though one old school tech for the deck that I don’t think was included was The Cheerful Coffin. It’s a normal spell that lets you discard up to THREE monsters. And that’s the full effect. Another good tech is Into the Void. If you have 3 or more cards in hand you can draw 1 but then at the end phase you must discard your entire hand. One more tech that wasn’t mentioned was Extra Gate. It lets you declare a level/rank from 1-12 and then your opponent must banish a monster from their extra deck with the same level/rank but if they don’t have one you discard your entire hand. These all allow for big explosive plays as early as turn 1 or 2 to establish a big board very early on in the game.
Darkworld is a deck I feel was designed to splash Raziel, Lord of Phantasms alongside Archfiends (like proper Archfiends, not those associated with RDA). With a new version to come, I can’t wait to move my spooky boi to it!
If you look closely, some Dark World have skulls as part of their heads. Sillva has an upside down skull on top of his head, Grapha has 4 draconic skulls.
According to Gogle, Unlight is a mobile game, an English (like, England English, not American) for "to get down (off a vehicle or horse)", and as the name would imply, the opposite of light (darkness, shadow, etc.). As for why Konami went with that instead of just keeping the original title of Magician (I'm guess to avoid conflict with the Magician archetype) or some synonym like Magic or Witch, that I can't tell you.
Probably a Milestones Review some time after the Signers get covered. Yusei and Jack were covered, the twins covering Power Tool, Lifestream, Ancient Fairy, and other related cards, and I'm guessing Blackwings will be next, so Photon/Galaxy and Galaxy Eyes probably won't be for a while.
Fun fact: this archetype was directly responsible for the rule distinguishing between discarding as cost and discarding by effect. And for getting Graceful Charity banned
To be perfectly honest I never really liked the Dark World archetypes, but that was when I was a tween. Now that I'm older I might give these cards and their strategy another go around.
I think they could genuinely be a threat in the meta. Maybe not exactly meta themselves, but one of those t1.5 decks that you have to respect. The thing holding them back is that thet get screwed over by all the same things that Tear does, and EVERYONE is running that stuff.
TY for the Dragged Down card, another way to force opponents to trigger Exos effects. If the other player won't use their GY you can side deck some that will do it for them.
34:21 "a few fun tools to keep your opponent off their A-game when going first" Handloop 4, omni negate, special summoned monsters cannot activate their effects unless they are linked, quadruple monster negate, link summon on opponents turn, spell/trap negate, skill drain, destroy cards on opponents turn when discarding to activate the omni negate To name a few
Finally someone who agrees with me on the subject of dangers not actually being that good in dark world. They have a high ceiling but a terrible floor. Dragged down and in archetype cards are more consistent plus dragged down can rip your opponents hand traps. I still run a *couple* danger monsters but I've been consdiering cutting them
The dark world archetype video is very informative. Question golden nova, does news reporter of the underworld do interview? And if so has she interviewed you?
I’ve been playing a Fluffal/Dark world monsters deck because all the edge imps are fiend monsters and toy vendor synergizes a little with DW cards (except that it’s activation doesn’t count as a card effect)
back in the day I used Extra Gate, one could banish any one level(1-12) monster from the extra deck and if their was no monster with the decaled level then the owner had to discard a card. The best part was it was a quick play card.
Barrier statue of the abyss is a funky side deck tech for this deck. It almost never needs its normal summon so why not use it on a one sided lock against non dark decks. Neko mane king just ending the opponents turn if discarded with fusion grapha is also something
If you could give the normal monsters effect what would you like them to do? :) Im curious. I always curious what if every Normal monster had an effect. What if Blue eyes, Dark Magician or Red Eyes had an effect? Summoned Skull always says its treated as an Archfiend so should not that count as an effect?
Normal monsters should have betwene 500 to 1000 more atc and def more then efect monster of the same lvl/rank no mater what.Hard cap on efetc monster lv 4 should not excede 1500 without masiv drawback while normals should have around 2000 and make mist removals 1for1.
I went to a locals yesterday. I managed to beat two branded decks. These decks where being took to the yts in london. I'm also back to yugioh after a 10year vacation so I'm not the best player to deal with them. Traptrix has very little on dark worlds. For an structure deck it definately pushing meta if you draw a good opening hand. Defo one of the better budget metas
Having both a traptrix and dark world deck that are highly optimized its an even match. A great traptrix hand going first basically shuts DW down before it can start then one hit kill them with their swarm. DW can also the do the same going first the ideal hand but its by no means favored. When play testing using both against each other id say traptrix won 2/3 of the time
@@UnholyWrath3277 I've had the opposite experiance with traptrix . I found dw tends to win more than traptrix in an against match. But this could be down to the players ive played. If using d.w to stop that resource recovery that make them annoying as hell. Both are great budget decks . Gets the players who don't want to spend a fortune a chance to beat the top decks
@@connordempsey5129 skill drain is definitely a good counter however if traptrix gets its extra deck monsters out first they are unaffected by trap effects and so skill drain wont effect them unless used first similar to jinzo. @GoldenNovaYugioh question, I’m confused about The Gates of Dark World , it says “once per turn” but then when I see people playing they’re abusing the card and using it multiple times? Can you elaborate on this? I know you mentioned you can activate another one and use it’s effect but when I see people continuously using the same card without activating a new one?
Its not a hard once per turn. When you play a field spell the old field spell is destroyed so its a new field coming out. That single field card can activate once per turn. You then replace it with a new field and you can do it again. Ideally with genta you can get all 3 in 1 turn If they are playing the same field multiple times they either have a card im unaware of allowing this, they genuinely dont understand how it works or they are actually trying to cheat.

I run pure DW, but also tried Danger variants. I never ever wanna go back to running Dangers. They are just useless. I don't know who first thought of running them, but who also thought it was good enough to make others running them, but I just don't see it.
Bro really wrote an essay about why he's bad at playing dark worlds
Dark world is a combo deck ok, you're playing some other sh**
Dangers are one of the main engines, and allow combos much easier, while also increasing resilience against hand traps. They allow you to cycle like crazy, especially when also running allure of darkness, which allows you to draw the cards you need to keep extending.
Idk what you're doing with the deck, but the average endboard is handloop 4 with ceruli and sillva, make grapha fusion, apollousa and knightmare gryphon, which is essentially an ftk, and its rly fking consistent, especially with the help of every card you just mentioned.
I seriously hope you are a newcomer to the game, and don't genuinely think you are correct here
@@nopeno-s5r I have an 80% winrate on master duel playing pure dark worlds without sillva or dark corridor mind you since sillva is banned and corridor isn't added, whereas running the danger engine would keep me a 50%player. But yeah, I'm bad at playing DW.
@@ArcaneTricksterRSwhat’s your Rank in Master Duel?
@@ArcaneTricksterRScan you give a decklist for your DW deck? I’m genuinely curious
This is the first time I've ever seen (even during the damage step) in a card.
The music start around Gold and Silva was VERY much too loud and made it hard to hear your voice
Snoww 2 effects always confused me due to the way its written.
The way it says if this card is discarded by a card effect: if it was discarded to the grave by an opponent's card effect.
I originally thought okay which effect is triggered lol
That always confused me.
I can believe ive seen the day where Ceruli is actually playable
Fyi , after ceruli discarded and special summoned into opponents field , it means that “your opponent must discard 1 card “ effect refers to us , so we can decide which card that we want to discard, this happens cuz after being special summoned, ceruli belongs to our opponent monster not us , so its second effect refers to us
It was easily playable with the original Reign-Beaux
Ceruli was always playable, what are you on about

Unlight is a fancy way of saying darkness so her name is basically, Snoww, Darkness of Dark World
From my experience running ogopogo and Bigfoot along with moth man and chupacabra give you great access to rank 8s
Watched this in prep to pick up my dark world structures today, loved the overview, subbed!
Hell yeah, hope it helped!
@@GoldenNovaYugioh Yes it did I went right to the Crystal Beasts overview after since I grabbed that one too haha
Use Silva to send cards to the deck from hand, loop cerulli until hand is empty, pop card destruction, win game
Amazing explanation and layout of dark worlds. As a dark world main i very much appreciated this sir
I am so happy to see that because dark world is my favorite and oldest deck.
And broww has a bush!😦
They make me think of Hollows from Bleach. Specifically the Arrancar
What I want to know is why did they decide to keep Cobal, Excavator Of Dark Wold in Anime Jail this time around?
The fusion is a reference to the GX anime.
And would have been a better one if it was Colorless which was the monster Bronn was trying to summon in the anime
I run 3 in my deck, and so far people hate sill with it now especially if your first then get the continuous spell to start it off.
0:21 Don't hate the game. Hate TCG Konami 18:54 What does "Accession" even mean?
The attainment or acquisition of a position of rank or power.
Fav archetype. Thanks for what you do :)
Speaking of Galaxy Eyes.... When's Photon Explained?
Probably a Milestones Review some time after the Signers get covered. Yusei and Jack were covered, the twins covering Power Tool, Lifestream, Ancient Fairy, and other related cards, and I'm guessing Blackwings will be next, so Photon/Galaxy and Galaxy Eyes probably won't be for a while.
Latinum was released in Photon Shockwave…
@@yusheitslv100 Not the photon I ment
@@dakotadoyle7573 i know, but I was just pointing it out.
Fun fact: this archetype was directly responsible for the rule distinguishing between discarding as cost and discarding by effect.
And for getting Graceful Charity banned
While it is true for Graceful Charity, it would probably get banned anyway at some point.
graceful would definitely have been banned regardless, card was broken as hell
To be perfectly honest I never really liked the Dark World archetypes, but that was when I was a tween. Now that I'm older I might give these cards and their strategy another go around.
I think they could genuinely be a threat in the meta. Maybe not exactly meta themselves, but one of those t1.5 decks that you have to respect. The thing holding them back is that thet get screwed over by all the same things that Tear does, and EVERYONE is running that stuff.
TY for the Dragged Down card, another way to force opponents to trigger Exos effects. If the other player won't use their GY you can side deck some that will do it for them.
34:21 "a few fun tools to keep your opponent off their A-game when going first"
Handloop 4, omni negate, special summoned monsters cannot activate their effects unless they are linked, quadruple monster negate, link summon on opponents turn, spell/trap negate, skill drain, destroy cards on opponents turn when discarding to activate the omni negate
To name a few
22:41. Mmm, love me some fiend-level monsters
Can someone PLEASE explain to me how the hierarchy of Dark World works? There's like 10 different cards claiming to be kings or lords of Dark World.
Finally someone who agrees with me on the subject of dangers not actually being that good in dark world. They have a high ceiling but a terrible floor. Dragged down and in archetype cards are more consistent plus dragged down can rip your opponents hand traps. I still run a *couple* danger monsters but I've been consdiering cutting them
Dangers when run at reasonable levels add a lot of engine and resilience to the deck, which makes them a definite include at least for me.
The dark world archetype video is very informative. Question golden nova, does news reporter of the underworld do interview? And if so has she interviewed you?
I had no idea they were named after colours until now
Awe, you didnt talk about Forced Requisition as a neat tech. My favorite card to include in the deck
I am excited on this one. This is one of my favorite archetypes before
I’ve been playing a Fluffal/Dark world monsters deck because all the edge imps are fiend monsters and toy vendor synergizes a little with DW cards (except that it’s activation doesn’t count as a card effect)
back in the day I used Extra Gate, one could banish any one level(1-12) monster from the extra deck and if their was no monster with the decaled level then the owner had to discard a card. The best part was it was a quick play card.
Barrier statue of the abyss is a funky side deck tech for this deck. It almost never needs its normal summon so why not use it on a one sided lock against non dark decks. Neko mane king just ending the opponents turn if discarded with fusion grapha is also something
Glad I’m watching this cause some of the effects were confusing me due to how they were written
Very fitting for the Wave Motion Format
If you could give the normal monsters effect what would you like them to do? :) Im curious. I always curious what if every Normal monster had an effect. What if Blue eyes, Dark Magician or Red Eyes had an effect? Summoned Skull always says its treated as an Archfiend so should not that count as an effect?
you forgot to talk about mind crush the best dark world trap
Nova how did you not make a node at colorless the dark world fusion from the anime. That was going to be summon with super polymerization.
Normal monsters should have betwene 500 to 1000 more atc and def more then efect monster of the same lvl/rank no mater what.Hard cap on efetc monster lv 4 should not excede 1500 without masiv drawback while normals should have around 2000 and make mist removals 1for1.
Goldd makes it hard for your opponent to defend themselves while Sillva makes it hard for your opponent to set up their field
Until now I didn't realize that the effects were meant to play around cards like delinquent duo
more Lv 8 dark worlds is gonna be good since that's even more chances for a D!DW deck
At my local game shop with miss plays ect. Although traptrix are an annoying deck to play which I normally out with skill drain.
Ive just personally optimized both decks to about as good as i can think to get them. The locals may matter because i understand traptrix can be a hard combo to master and have many chances to misplay
@@UnholyWrath3277 them extra deck monsters are why I play lava golem and kaiju raiden. For easy board removal
I actually play two old style reinbeux for back row removal. .. dw tends to be ble to play through alot till a hard counter. Then it flops big time.
@@connordempsey5129 fair although i also run kaijus in traptrix so thats an X factor no matter what. Both decks got a ton of anwsers on each other was all i mean. Depending on who goes first and the starting hand both can sweep or brick
Ideally with genta you can get all 3 in 1 turn
If they are playing the same field multiple times they either have a card im unaware of allowing this, they genuinely dont understand how it works or they are actually trying to cheat.
I had to check PK and I was right- I have 0 Fiend Decks at all. I wonder why. There aren't any really likeable or strong ones. Don't have any Fairy, Thunder, or Dino either. All Winged Beasts, Machines, Water and Dragons. Only making a Zombie because of the 4 Dragon Synchros to join Red-Eyes ZD. And Eldlich because MGED gave me most of them. If there's 2 staples in it I'll buy 3 but this isn't gonna be competitive as Exos would murk it, Spright and Tear overwhelm, PUNK would have huge Synchros and VW too, and anything running Adventure that doesn't seem to gel here.
Fairy: Agents.
Thunder: ThunDra, Hunder, or Batterymen.
Dino: Dinos or Dinomorphin' time (Dinomorphia).
(Just making suggestions.)
@@yusheitslv100 - so you can't think of any likeable Fiends :P

Dark World (no, MBT, not a Deltarune reference).
Burning Abyss (even though Dante is a Warrior and Beatrice is a Fairy).
D/D (personal fav Fiend deck).
Archfiend proper (as in not RDA).
RDA Resonator (the Resonators and non-Dragons are mostly Friend).
Dream Mirror (DARK half).
Labrynth (Eldlich but Beauty and the Beast).
Gren Maju OTK because Gren Maju Da Eiza is a Fiend?

Although I'm somewhat disappointed in Dark Worlds getting an extra deck monster atleast its a fusion monster in keeping with it being an archetype from the GX era.
Also it is vary good support for an old archetype, now if only Red-eyes or Vendreads could get as good support one day
