This is such a lovely series. I started getting interested in the YGO tcg recently due to one of the new Archetypes (tearlaments) and I was recommended to start with the Albaz Strike structure deck, to which I found this channel. These videos have gotten me way more attached to this group of characters than I thought I would be, if it all! Defintely going to be thinking about all this lore when I get my decks today lol, and keep up the great content!
I had gotten the albaz deck and some of the despia cards for my deck. But recently Ive dove head first into the lore and this have made me really liking the deck buying some more cards to flesh it out. It doesnt stop there though. Now I need everything albaz relatated. It is such a cool story and love seeing all the different archtypes interact with each other. Only hope this have a happy ending but how things are going I could see this go wrong. Very wrong.
Here before the TCG release of Darkwing Blast, at this point Photon Hypernova has not released any new cards for this storyline, instead putting all the pre-release hype on the Visas Starfrost Story, but hopefully Hypernova has cards that push toward the end of the the Albaz story. Also would like to note, that even though Cartesia supports fusion monsters, she's still a tuner. Albaz's new form after snapping her from the Despia's control could be a Synchro monster, which in itself is a different variety of combining monsters.
Considering how pendulum cards have been received since their inception along with Konami very blatant attempts to keep the method buried I'm gonna say no. Would be interesting to see though

Okaaaay sooo Albaz is gonna die but the good guys are gonna win cuz of his sacrifice. It makes sense, considering how much has gone bad so fast the plot twist is gonna kick in when Kitt comes back. It's gonna be like some anime plot, where Albaz is gonna talk-no-jutsu his girl back to normal, get a temporary super boost, fight Aluber to seemingly a stalemate, get surprise attack but successfully stabs mr baddy, and the good guys win with a flank. Theeen there's gonna be a romantic thing before Albaz and Aluber dies infinity war style(Aluber throwing a tantrum on the way out) and there's gonna be a sadish epilogue
I just recently known that the ocg name of incredible ecclesia is ecclesia, the white saint. So it is just makes sense that cartesia is the corrupted(?) version of ecclesia.
I am certainly interested though a little unsure of if I want to main Final Battle in my albaz deck, typing this I may side it. The card is great, summon’s Kitt at the end to get you a branded card later, protects your cards from destruction, and can send Albion to the grave which gets you branded card. Only part I’m not sure about is that these days lots of cards don’t destroy but rather, everything else, send to grave, banish, tribute, so yeah.
That story at the end may not seem as bleak as it first looks. The white dragon may lose, but Albaz isn't the white dragon anymore; he already lost and Aluber took his white stigmata. So that story probably had bearing on what we've already seen, but maybe not on future events.
Well, if there's one thing i know for sure is that if Albaz and Ecclesia don't get the happy end everyone is hoping for i'm gonna make a fortune selling torches and pitchforks at Konami HQ

Might be a bit of a leap, but final battle at golgonda summoning a springans in the end phase is albaz is in your GY already could be hinting that right as the Albaz team is about to lose, sargas and kitt will swoop in in and save them returning from the the place they went
@@satorugojo6229 i'd love that too. i had this idea for a sargas that's both a therion and a springans and can equip to them and pops a card like the orginal when he leaves the spell/trap zone (That way you can equip it to a springans xyz and give it essentially a quick pop through its tag out effect (the therion synergy is more obvious): Therion "Springans" Sargas Level 8 FIRE machine ATK 2800 DEF 1500 A "Springans" or "Therion" monster equipped with this card gains 500 ATK, also if "Great Sand Sea - Gold Golgonda" or "Therion Discolosseum" is on the field, it gains an additional 700 ATK during your turn only. @@spyro2002 My idea is more of a starter/extender that can on normal or special summon search any Springans or Golgonda card and when it is send from the hand or field to the GY it can add one Springans spell back from the GY. My other idea is for a new bossmonster based on the other ship we see in the artwork of Great Sand Sea - Gold Golgonda (Effect I haven't think what they could be tho), but your idea is good too, tho I would change it from "If this card is sent from the spell/trap zone to teh GY" to "If this card is sent from the field to the GY" so as ot make it able to use it's effect while attached to a Springans XyZ.

One thing I would like to note about the Welsh Dragon connection that you mentioned: Albion (The form that Albaz was locked into for the longest time) was Red, while the new Byssted Lubellion is White...
If i remember correctly, Albion was the white dragon, also known as Y Ddraig Wen, symbolizing the Anglo-saxons. Meanwhile, Y Ddraig Goch, the red dragon symbolized the Welsh people.
The art in tri brigade deadline goes so fucking hard my favorite detail about it is how all the tribrigade members have way more blue scarfs on their body than usual which i interpret as them having wrapped up their wounds with the scarfs they took off of their fallen tribrigade allies

You're not the only one. Since she is Red Cartesia (which I would consider as 'Branded in Red'), perhaps Albaz could fuse with her, or take in the power of the Red Brand from her to fight back against Alba Los.
Perhaps Albaz defends Despia Ecclesia from the Tri-Brigade much like Ecclesia defended Albaz from Dogmatika and because the Brigade goes along with it and because she recognizes her friends, she ultimately joins them?

What you say could certainly happen but it would be good if there was a Despia version of Dogmaticacism where the Despia makes her resist going back or just punishes her for doing so. Honestly, it feels incredibly sad to see Ecclesia turn to the darkness. When Alba Renatus first appeared, I'd hoped it would of been Ecclesia to free Albaz from the darkness enveloping them within the depths of Aluber's wicked draconic form. Seeing now that Albaz is the one who'll have to free Ecclesia is just saddening. I truly hope he can free her and they can face Aluber together and avert the fate of the two dragons of old with Red arising triumphant. The predecessors to this struggle in Yugioh, Stardust Dragon and Red Dragon Archfiend, usually end in Stardust (The White Dragon) or one of his evolutions winning over Red Dragon Archfiend (The Red Dragon obviously) or his evolutions. So let's hope Albaz can follow in the footsteps of Stardust Dragon. Also good touch having this come out a week after the RDA video released.
I think there's a different meaning of "turned to" and "take control of". Ecclesia was taken controlled by the Despia, but there's still a hope to get her back. The 3 Byssted monsters seemed to be Albaz's form and power originally, so in the future let's hope that there's a way for him to take it back, also a way for him to fuse all his forms together to make a new form. Until now, Albaz himself had 4 form of fusion monster, so there's a chance we can get another Byssted monster in the future.
Funnily enough, through looking up names of some of these Albaz Dragons, I’ve found that Albion is the old Brythonic name of Great Britain. While Alba is the Scottish Gaelic name of Scotland and Lenatus(Renatus) is a Latin First Name meaning Born again. I kind of find it all fascinating since most of the names in the Dogmatika/Albaz portion of the lore seem to be Ancient European in inspiration. Example, the direct translation of Fallen of Albaz is actually Fallen Child of Albus, with the name Albus meaning White in Latin.
I think Cartesia might be the result from that last 666 saint requirement and the amalgamation from Fleur,Ecclesia,and the Dogmatika saintess(forgot her name)

Now I've got a theory about the lore splight sprind is showing Kitt capturing splight red and splight blue which are the colors of the pendulum scales the one summoning mechanic that counters alba los is pendulum the one summoning mechanic that's never been shown in the lore is pendulum and splights are obsessed with the number 2 the number of cards needed for a pendulum summon the power Kitt was looking for in the splights is pendulum

Hmm. I think a certain gacha game, among possible others, had interpreted the Welsh dragon myth as part of its take on Arthurian lore and assigned names to the dragon. One of those names being ...Albion.
The welsh (and white dragon of the saxons) dragons of myth being part of Arthurian Lore has been around since the early 12th century in the Historia Regum Britanniae.
Oh yeah the red dragon you speak of in that tale is the same red dragon that sits on Merlin's shoulder in the noble knight card, which is a cool reference to how Merlin soothed both the beasts. The white dragon was the one that was invading, and the red one was the one who was defending their land. I see parallels 👀
Looks like we're nearing the final act twist, cause as tradition with these stories there's always one last twist that ends up revealing an even bigger threat that was working behind the scenes. Also calling it right now Albaz's final form is gonna be the God monster that has the reset effect, similar to previous characters.
we already (kinda) have a star god in dogmatika nexus/despian proskenion being level 11, while byssted alba los has the 7000 total stats of a star god. so really, we kinda already have one.

I think Therions are actually good guys as well, considering how willing Leo was once freed from Splight’s control, to work with the Spriggans to stop the Splights, and its likely we’ll see them join the tribrigade in the fight.
This is just my theory, but I think Ecclesia is being possessed like how the saint that replaced her got possessed by the first saint. Why do I think this? Well mostly because Ecclesia's hair turns white just like White Relic of Dogmatika and it explains why she isn't wielding her signature weapon, the hammer. So my ultimate hail mary of a hope is that Fleur is going to purify her from beyond the grave with an heirloom or something. Spell card tribute a monster, destroy a monster on your opponents field then special summon a monster of equal or lower level from your graveyard. XD

Interesting you brought up the tale of the Red Dragon vs The White. Because, at least from what I saw in the Sam Neil Merlin movie, he saw a vision of two dragons fighting. One Red and One White, where the Red conquered the White. And the Red Dragon was the Symbol/Crest..of none other than Uther Pendragon, who was the Father of Arthur Pendragon, aka King Arthur's DAD.
Surprised you didn't also mention that the dragons look like monsters from past yugioh archtypes. Lubellion looks like Master pendulum; Saronir looks like Unchained Abomination; Magnumut looks like a dragon form of Unchained sould of anguish/ Aruha or a beefed up harpies pet dragon; And Alba Los looks like Chimeratech Overload dragon.
I think that's more because of Konami just like to recycle arts, it's like that kind of monsters is the Konami's "art style", rather than having any lore significance
I think that Sprind is a fused Mercourier with the scraps from Golgonda. The face seems too similar. Also, after Sprind's first appearance, we've never saw little Mercourier again (the one Albaz and Ecclesia had at least). Maybe Albaz used his power to fuse Mercourier with the scraps.
Wait so, if Fleurdelis (spelling?) was killed when she went to Dogmatika to try to end Maximus, how is Ecclesia mourning her loss? Did Quaeritis and Quem bring her body all the way to Swordsoul peak just to inflict despair to her allies? If so, that's even darker. I realize this pertains to the drops before this one but it is curious.
About Cartesia you forget something much more funny in regards of Ecclesia. One thing I noticed about any Ecclessia form...they "carry" over improvements (not only type, attribute and stats). The Dogmatika Ecclesia more or less decides to help Albaz. The Swordsoul Ecclesia can summon Albaz which resembles her will to help him, also she turned into a tuner as a Swordsoul. Red Cartesia now, also has an Albaz related Skill (the will to help) and she is a tuner. I bring this up, because some players at my locals did not believe me Cartesia is a tuner, and I said "she is, because she is the next form of ecclesia, why would she lose that?" then they looked up and where shocked, that I was right 🤣
One weird thing I've noticed. Albaz's left eye is from the very beginning until now closed. I don't know if it means anything or not, but it's small detail that might matter, who knows.
So much copium in the comments, we know it's not going to be a happy ending. I personally thought from like the second vid that Albaz is gonna die but I think Ecclesia is fair game for the good ol' lore axe. I think the end it's gonna be one of the two + most of their other friends.
I love that Double Cross art and name is probably also a throwback to Therion Cross, where Sargas and Regulus are punching each other in the face, but instead, on Double Cross, they're bodying a Splight (Gigantic?) together. Probably one my favorite related art in the series.

The Dragon fight you are taking about is the Red Welsh Dragon vs the White Britanian Dragon. Albaz is based off Welsh Dragon while Aluber is the Christian Britanian church from what I have seen so far. Can not wait to see how the battle ends. They just reversed the "Branded In".

it's satisfying to see everytime monster's effect fits perfectly with the lore. alba los seems the last enemy standing in front of albaz's alliance, which they are focus on link monsters (tri-brigade), ritual (ritual), synchro (swordsouls), xyz (spriggans) and fusion (albaz himself). it's just like vfd aganinst the 4 dimensions
You think Kitt will learn to seal Stigmata? The Springguns, Therions, and Sprites are battle machines, gladiators, or beings of an entirely different energy form. Argyro might stem from the Hole but looks unlike everything we've seen so far from Dogmatika or Albaz (except for Sprind but that may just be the extent of Albaz' powers allowing him to fuse with any thing). So far the only thing we've seen seal stigmata are the Icejades. It seems more likely that Kitt will return with more, and perhaps decisive, battle prowess (which might be foretold in Final Battle at Golgonda summoning Springguns).
Slightly unrelated to byssted, has anyone else thought that the Splights are just the Springan’s soot form once ignited? Cuz the rockets in Merrymaker haven’t been shown as Springans other than rocky and the blue one in brothers, which leaves 4 more (Jet, Pixies, Carrot and Elf, with gigantic splight being the animated form of the Therion’s Ship’s core). I didn’t mention blue or red as I’m not 100% sure on this theory and we see the blue Springans rocket in Spright smashers. Lemme know what you think and any fixes to this theory please? :)
A New bystial was announced...BALDRAKE and it has a similar pose to Titaniklad...it would be the 4th circle of Alba Lenatus and When albaz was release from Lenatus this 4 dragons born. Maybe from this situation All the Darkness transform aluber into The bystial Lubellion

Long ago a Welsh king wanted to build a new castle to guard against the English, but every night everything they build on the hill would come crumbling down. He summoned a druid to discern the cause and the druid claimed that there are 2 dragons fighting under the hill. The red dragon of Wales and the white dragon of England, the land would never be stable so long as the dragons fight. The red dragon was then added to the flag of wales

Since these Lore cards have almost every type of summoning method, I wonder if Pendulums would somehow be added as a part of it.

The card is great, summon’s Kitt at the end to get you a branded card later, protects your cards from destruction, and can send Albion to the grave which gets you branded card. Only part I’m not sure about is that these days lots of cards don’t destroy but rather, everything else, send to grave, banish, tribute, so yeah.

This lore needs a show of its own.
That story at the end may not seem as bleak as it first looks. The white dragon may lose, but Albaz isn't the white dragon anymore; he already lost and Aluber took his white stigmata. So that story probably had bearing on what we've already seen, but maybe not on future events.

Might be a bit of a leap, but final battle at golgonda summoning a springans in the end phase is albaz is in your GY already could be hinting that right as the Albaz team is about to lose, sargas and kitt will swoop in in and save them returning from the the place they went
And possibly (I really hope) Springans get new support that makes them hella powerful!
@@satorugojo6229 i'd love that too. i had this idea for a sargas that's both a therion and a springans and can equip to them and pops a card like the orginal when he leaves the spell/trap zone (That way you can equip it to a springans xyz and give it essentially a quick pop through its tag out effect (the therion synergy is more obvious):

@@spyro2002 My idea is more of a starter/extender that can on normal or special summon search any Springans or Golgonda card and when it is send from the hand or field to the GY it can add one Springans spell back from the GY. My other idea is for a new bossmonster based on the other ship we see in the artwork of Great Sand Sea - Gold Golgonda (Effect I haven't think what they could be tho), but your idea is good too, tho I would change it from "If this card is sent from the spell/trap zone to teh GY" to "If this card is sent from the field to the GY" so as ot make it able to use it's effect while attached to a Springans XyZ.

One thing I would like to note about the Welsh Dragon connection that you mentioned: Albion (The form that Albaz was locked into for the longest time) was Red, while the new Byssted Lubellion is White...
If i remember correctly, Albion was the white dragon, also known as Y Ddraig Wen, symbolizing the Anglo-saxons. Meanwhile, Y Ddraig Goch, the red dragon symbolized the Welsh people.

The art in tri brigade deadline goes so fucking hard my favorite detail about it is how all the tribrigade members have way more blue scarfs on their body than usual which i interpret as them having wrapped up their wounds with the scarfs they took off of their fallen tribrigade allies

You're not the only one. Since she is Red Cartesia (which I would consider as 'Branded in Red'), perhaps Albaz could fuse with her, or take in the power of the Red Brand from her to fight back against Alba Los.
Perhaps Albaz defends Despia Ecclesia from the Tri-Brigade much like Ecclesia defended Albaz from Dogmatika and because the Brigade goes along with it and because she recognizes her friends, she ultimately joins them?

What you say could certainly happen but it would be good if there was a Despia version of Dogmaticacism where the Despia makes her resist going back or just punishes her for doing so. Honestly, it feels incredibly sad to see Ecclesia turn to the darkness. When Alba Renatus first appeared, I'd hoped it would of been Ecclesia to free Albaz from the darkness enveloping them within the depths of Aluber's wicked draconic form. Seeing now that Albaz is the one who'll have to free Ecclesia is just saddening. I truly hope he can free her and they can face Aluber together and avert the fate of the two dragons of old with Red arising triumphant.
The predecessors to this struggle in Yugioh, Stardust Dragon and Red Dragon Archfiend, usually end in Stardust (The White Dragon) or one of his evolutions winning over Red Dragon Archfiend (The Red Dragon obviously) or his evolutions. So let's hope Albaz can follow in the footsteps of Stardust Dragon. Also good touch having this come out a week after the RDA video released.

I think there's a different meaning of "turned to" and "take control of". Ecclesia was taken controlled by the Despia, but there's still a hope to get her back. The 3 Byssted monsters seemed to be Albaz's form and power originally, so in the future let's hope that there's a way for him to take it back, also a way for him to fuse all his forms together to make a new form. Until now, Albaz himself had 4 form of fusion monster, so there's a chance we can get another Byssted monster in the future.

Funnily enough, through looking up names of some of these Albaz Dragons, I’ve found that Albion is the old Brythonic name of Great Britain. While Alba is the Scottish Gaelic name of Scotland and Lenatus(Renatus) is a Latin First Name meaning Born again.
I kind of find it all fascinating since most of the names in the Dogmatika/Albaz portion of the lore seem to be Ancient European in inspiration.
Example, the direct translation of Fallen of Albaz is actually Fallen Child of Albus, with the name Albus meaning White in Latin.

Now I've got a theory about the lore splight sprind is showing Kitt capturing splight red and splight blue which are the colors of the pendulum scales the one summoning mechanic that counters alba los is pendulum the one summoning mechanic that's never been shown in the lore is pendulum and splights are obsessed with the number 2 the number of cards needed for a pendulum summon the power Kitt was looking for in the splights is pendulum

Hmm. I think a certain gacha game, among possible others, had interpreted the Welsh dragon myth as part of its take on Arthurian lore and assigned names to the dragon. One of those names being ...Albion.
The welsh (and white dragon of the saxons) dragons of myth being part of Arthurian Lore has been around since the early 12th century in the Historia Regum Britanniae.

Oh yeah the red dragon you speak of in that tale is the same red dragon that sits on Merlin's shoulder in the noble knight card, which is a cool reference to how Merlin soothed both the beasts.

Looks like we're nearing the final act twist, cause as tradition with these stories there's always one last twist that ends up revealing an even bigger threat that was working behind the scenes. Also calling it right now Albaz's final form is gonna be the God monster that has the reset effect, similar to previous characters.
we already (kinda) have a star god in dogmatika nexus/despian proskenion being level 11, while byssted alba los has the 7000 total stats of a star god. so really, we kinda already have one.

I think Therions are actually good guys as well, considering how willing Leo was once freed from Splight’s control, to work with the Spriggans to stop the Splights, and its likely we’ll see them join the tribrigade in the fight.

This is just my theory, but I think Ecclesia is being possessed like how the saint that replaced her got possessed by the first saint. Why do I think this? Well mostly because Ecclesia's hair turns white just like White Relic of Dogmatika and it explains why she isn't wielding her signature weapon, the hammer. So my ultimate hail mary of a hope is that Fleur is going to purify her from beyond the grave with an heirloom or something. Spell card tribute a monster, destroy a monster on your opponents field then special summon a monster of equal or lower level from your graveyard. XD

Interesting you brought up the tale of the Red Dragon vs The White. Because, at least from what I saw in the Sam Neil Merlin movie, he saw a vision of two dragons fighting. One Red and One White, where the Red conquered the White.
And the Red Dragon was the Symbol/Crest..of none other than Uther Pendragon, who was the Father of Arthur Pendragon, aka King Arthur's DAD.

Surprised you didn't also mention that the dragons look like monsters from past yugioh archtypes. Lubellion looks like Master pendulum; Saronir looks like Unchained Abomination; Magnumut looks like a dragon form of Unchained sould of anguish/ Aruha or a beefed up harpies pet dragon; And Alba Los looks like Chimeratech Overload dragon.
I think that's more because of Konami just like to recycle arts, it's like that kind of monsters is the Konami's "art style", rather than having any lore significance
I think that Sprind is a fused Mercourier with the scraps from Golgonda. The face seems too similar. Also, after Sprind's first appearance, we've never saw little Mercourier again (the one Albaz and Ecclesia had at least). Maybe Albaz used his power to fuse Mercourier with the scraps.
Wait so, if Fleurdelis (spelling?) was killed when she went to Dogmatika to try to end Maximus, how is Ecclesia mourning her loss? Did Quaeritis and Quem bring her body all the way to Swordsoul peak just to inflict despair to her allies? If so, that's even darker. I realize this pertains to the drops before this one but it is curious.
They just use portal to bring Fleur body to lure Ecclesia to come with them, And then kill Fleur anyway to make Ecclesia despair.
About Cartesia you forget something much more funny in regards of Ecclesia.
One thing I noticed about any Ecclessia form...they "carry" over improvements (not only type, attribute and stats).
The Dogmatika Ecclesia more or less decides to help Albaz.
The Swordsoul Ecclesia can summon Albaz which resembles her will to help him, also she turned into a tuner as a Swordsoul.
Red Cartesia now, also has an Albaz related Skill (the will to help) and she is a tuner.
I bring this up, because some players at my locals did not believe me Cartesia is a tuner, and I said "she is, because she is the next form of ecclesia, why would she lose that?" then they looked up and where shocked, that I was right 🤣

One weird thing I've noticed. Albaz's left eye is from the very beginning until now closed. I don't know if it means anything or not, but it's small detail that might matter, who knows.
Titaniklad is the counterpart of Lubellion, Albaz appeared from the hole in the form of Titaniklad, he didn't fuse after.
So much copium in the comments, we know it's not going to be a happy ending. I personally thought from like the second vid that Albaz is gonna die but I think Ecclesia is fair game for the good ol' lore axe.

I love that Double Cross art and name is probably also a throwback to Therion Cross, where Sargas and Regulus are punching each other in the face, but instead, on Double Cross, they're bodying a Splight (Gigantic?) together. Probably one my favorite related art in the series.

The Dragon fight you are taking about is the Red Welsh Dragon vs the White Britanian Dragon. Albaz is based off Welsh Dragon while Aluber is the Christian Britanian church from what I have seen so far. Can not wait to see how the battle ends. They just reversed the "Branded In".

it's satisfying to see everytime monster's effect fits perfectly with the lore. alba los seems the last enemy standing in front of albaz's alliance, which they are focus on link monsters (tri-brigade), ritual (ritual), synchro (swordsouls), xyz (spriggans) and fusion (albaz himself). it's just like vfd aganinst the 4 dimensions

The Springguns, Therions, and Sprites are battle machines, gladiators, or beings of an entirely different energy form. Argyro might stem from the Hole but looks unlike everything we've seen so far from Dogmatika or Albaz (except for Sprind but that may just be the extent of Albaz' powers allowing him to fuse with any thing).
So far the only thing we've seen seal stigmata are the Icejades.
It seems more likely that Kitt will return with more, and perhaps decisive, battle prowess (which might be foretold in Final Battle at Golgonda summoning Springguns).
Slightly unrelated to byssted, has anyone else thought that the Splights are just the Springan’s soot form once ignited? Cuz the rockets in Merrymaker haven’t been shown as Springans other than rocky and the blue one in brothers, which leaves 4 more (Jet, Pixies, Carrot and Elf, with gigantic splight being the animated form of the Therion’s Ship’s core). I didn’t mention blue or red as I’m not 100% sure on this theory and we see the blue Springans rocket in Spright smashers. Lemme know what you think and any fixes to this theory please? :)
A New bystial was announced...BALDRAKE and it has a similar pose to Titaniklad...it would be the 4th circle of Alba Lenatus and When albaz was release from Lenatus this 4 dragons born. Maybe from this situation All the Darkness transform aluber into The bystial Lubellion

Long ago a Welsh king wanted to build a new castle to guard against the English, but every night everything they build on the hill would come crumbling down. He summoned a druid to discern the cause and the druid claimed that there are 2 dragons fighting under the hill. The red dragon of Wales and the white dragon of England, the land would never be stable so long as the dragons fight. The red dragon was then added to the flag of wales
