1:57 Therions' lore and role in the Albaz storyline is the equivalent of the comic relief characters going into their own filler tournament arc while the main characters are in the main plot stopping the apocalypse
like the stint on Sakaar in Thor: Ragnarok HAHAHA
And then everyone stops laughing when the friends they make there save the day (*Korg and Miek*).

You know that blue energy in the Tri-Brigades weapons? It turns out that
a) it counters ("repels") the miracles of the Stigmata
b) it originates from the Land of Iron (where the Therions and Splights are)
Kitt and Sargas went there to find out more about this energy, as well as obtain more power, presumably in light of the recent events (more Holes popping up, Albaz's arrival and abilities, the Despians).

Aw man, that's really cool! Gosh, I wish I had access to the Visual Book info, it's be so helpful.
Note that in Dogmatikaturgy, we can see Iris still captured in the portal Max is emerging from. Which is why Eccelsia is reacting like that; Maximus is taunting her. Which tells us that what's going on with Iris isn't a flashback; she must've tried to infiltrate Dogmatika and that went badly for her.
From what I can gather "Fallen of Albaz" hasn't had a proper name. The lore on the tokens featuring him and Ecclesia suggest Ecclesia finally gave him a name. That name would be Albion as seen after his draconic transformation during the events surrounding "Branded Bond".
And when this tale's conclusion arrives I will be very sad because its shaped up to be one of if not my favorite Yugioh storyline ever. I hope Albion and Ecclesia make it out of this mess alright.

What I want to mention I've actually mentioned in the lore section of your discord. That being you have the timeframe for some of these cards wrong/off. Especially with Fleur De Lis. Based off the design and clothing Icejade Cradel takes place before the battle with Golgonda. As the outfit she has as Iris is completely different from the rags she was wearing when she was put in the cradel. Also, the events of Dogmatikabre, Branded Condemnation, and Branded Exile take place either, the same day or the day before Longyuan's treachery. With Longyuan's defeat, and Aluber's transformation (before Branded Fusion) serving as the signal the Despian's ambush in Branded Forfeiture.

Yea, this has been bugging me about his lore videos for a while too. The card that connects it all is Swordsoul Emergence, which I think he ignored or glossed over in an earlier video. That card shows Adin and Theo staggering through the rain with an injured and Despian-branded Fleur on Theo's back and encountering the Swordsoul. It's obvious from this card that the trio barely escaped Dogmatika after freeing Fleur from her armor, and were rescued by the Swordsoul, who then put Fleur in the Icejade Cradle to heal and become the Iris Swordsoul.
From there, Fleur would then journey to save Ecclesia and the gang from the Serpent of Golganda as shown in Judgment of the Branded and Springans Interluder. We can assume that she tells Ecclesia and Albaz to seek out the Swordsoul, hence leading to the events in this video. And in the meantime, Fleur, Adin, and Theo went back to Dogmatika to stage an assault, leading to the events in Dogmatikabre, Branded Condemnation, and Branded Exile.
@@Kingmegadon I thought that Dragmacabre might've been during Theo, Adin and Fleur's initial escape; I don't usually look closely enough to notice whatever disproves that possibility.
@@ibrahimsaleemi4002 The biggest give away was their outfits. Because their wearing their outfits after they met the Swordsouls. When they 1st met the Swordsouls (SwordSoul Emergence) you can see Theo and Adin still wearing their armor and Fleur in the same rags she was in, in Icejade Cradle. With them being in their new outfits in Dogmatikabre it mean Kabre had to be later, while Cradle was earlier.
Man, can't wait to get my hands on those new Albaz cards. Hopefully we can have a good resolution in the next upcoming sets :)
We know that the two are named Albaz und Albert (Aluber) respectively and most likely were one balanced being in the past but split up into good and evil counterparts. And It would only make sense if this being's name also started with Alb-, so the name Alba Renatus could mean that it is not Albaz who is being reborn but the entity they once were and its name was Alba.

Fun fact : with "Branded in High Spirits" if we pay attention to the ground, we could see Captain Sargas lifting Kit while leaving, saying bye to Ecclesia and Albaz.
One interesting note I've read online is that all the Therions share a kind of stellar theme naming, after stars in a particular constellation, and the same is actually true of Sargas, suggesting that he personally may be connected to them.
Wait a minute… if that’s the case, does that mean we’ll eventually be getting a Super Ultimate Flagship Ursagyrotron?! Or would it be Ursatheriotron?
I think Alba Renatus being Albaz and Aluber is pretty much confirmed but who is in control is a bit more confusing and it may not be Aluber. The reason for this is how Titaniklad is ash (kaijin), Lubellion is a "god flame" (shin'en) and Abyssal Dragon Alba Renatus is described to be an abyss dragon (shin'enryu) in Japanese (sorry I didn't copy paste the kanji). There is a Japanese phrase (I got this information from yugipedia) which is "Kaijin-tokasu" which means turn to ashes which is an expression of effort that is rendered useless due to ruin or failure which I interpret as Albaz being the "useless" part of Aluber that he actively discarded. I interpreted this as in a lot of media, a great example being Hokuto no Ken, many villains throw away their emotions such as love due to deeming it useless. This makes me think that Aluber wanting to fuse with Albaz is the last thing on his mind and it is Albaz who fuses with Aluber and is in control. At most, he may be corrupted by Aluber as if it is Aluber at the wheel, the power of friendship isn't going to do anything which is just not how Yu-Gi-Oh does things.

I just watched this entire story ark's lore within 2 days. It has truly been a wild and interesting ride of a story. This alone has been my incentive and desire to collect and make a pure Albaz/Despia deck. I do look forward to seeing how this will all play out in future releases. Keep up the good work my friend.
The entire storyline reminds me kinda of Breath of Fire. A protagonist who can transform into different dragon forms, furry folk, the enemy turns out to be the world faith (BoF 2 and 3), a protagonist who is split in 2 (BoF 4)...maybe I read too much into it.
it reminds me of heavensward and stormblood from FF14 especially with Albion and ecclesia being a version of Shiva and hrasvelgar
This entire lore and story ark deserves either its own Manga or animated series/movie. This is what Konami desperately needs to do. A branch off from the usual main character story arc who uses the cards. But rather, an actual story surrounding the the archetype itself.
i'll be honest i found my way here when i first found albaz and planning to make deck around him, and stick around from part 1 till now just because how dope some of the monster looks and how good your story telling is
I'm loving the lore here. Now I'm hoping we could get a new fusion monster that combines Albaz with Eccelesia. I'm also hoping we get another one that's basically Albaz fusing with the power of all allied tribes in one final battle against the Despia and his evil twin. Would also be cool if the evil twin betrays Despia and fuses with their leader.
fun fact: captain sargas has the same naming sense as the therions.

and guess what? Captain Sargas is scropio, the Sargas name references θ Scorpii A (which is officially named Sargas)
so yea Sargas is a hidden member of the therions.
in my head, Captain Sargas may have led Kitt on an adventure to meet his old Therion buddies which he left before forming the Springans and thus the Therion leader is pissed at him for suddenly leaving, thus the punching that ensues

Ein can equip Squeaknight allowing it to be Special Summoned and turn into a Tuner for quick Level 8 Synchro access. Like Chaotic Magic Ruler for mills to get more Therions to equip. Locks you out of the ED after but not really an issue for these mechs.
Also Absolute Zero can be equipped to wipe the field.
Fam is so much better than people give it credit for. Most people focus on Regulus being negation, but it plus the Plant gives you a Quick Effect bounce on both player's turn with a reusable search. Bounce Fam equipped to Borea, send Borea using its own effect searching a card, Special Fam equipping Borea. Then on your opponent's turn bounce Borea to your hand. Next turn your can Special Borea equipping Fam and you're back to square one.
Do people forget why Kirin was banned?
There is also Rebirth Judgment. Whelp, bet no one will Bust that card. No way they'll use it to turn Level 1 Dragons into say Psychic or Machine-types and equip them to an omni negate or a card that protects itself.
Also you skipped over they are all named after zodiac constellation, including Spriggans Sargus (scorpio), indicating some relationship there.
Which constellation are we missing, then? We have six FIRE Springans and only five Therions, yeah? I would like to at least know which monster corresponds to which Zodiac sign.
A note that furthers the Albaz Aluber/Albert parallel; their hair color schemes are opposite; with Albaz's being White with Red (sometimes depicted more orange) highlight, and Aluber/Ablert's being Red/Orange with white highlights.

We still need a Level 11 monster whose summon can't be negated and whose effect activation can't be responded to that wipes the whole board and everything in its general vicinity. My money is on it being "Risen of Albaz" (or "Albaz the Risen").

The true yugioh explain channel
OCG Tri-Brigade actually used Mercourier as part of their combo now that both Dragoon and DPE are dead there, but basically your end board will be dragon lords, Mirrorjade, Mercourier on hand, Verte, and a set Revolt, so 1 boucne, 1 banish + Tri-Bri search and 1 handtrap.
Edit: Also it's weird that you skipped the Dogmatikaturgy, since it clearly following the events of Branded Forfeiture and Branded Exile, with Dramaturge flex his now-captured Iris to Ecclesia
The best guess I'm going to give you is that within the four tetragram seal on the dragon fuse between red and white which I'm starting to believe are split Brothers AKA once one being now split into two halves a good and evil version I believe they represent the powers of each of the different factions throughout the tail combined with the fact that if at the beginning we had Titan clad has the first fusion something tells me that Albaz might end up fusing with ecclesia creating a whole new powerful dragon.

Edit: here’s another idea
A Rank 4 that gains an effect depending on which of the two that you use
Albaz and Ecclesia are level 4
Ecclesia is a LIGHT Tuner, and Albaz is a DARK that facilitates Fusions
Why not have it have an effect that can facilitate Synchros or Fusion Summons, and have it detach a material as either component of said Summon
I think the fate of Albaz, and the path of his friends, is pretty clear in that last stanza when taken into consideration with the Ice Blade card. Either a direct battle in the mind will occur in which the memories Albaz has made gives him a Power of Friendship boost to fully take over his and Albert's combined form (very on brand for Yugioh finales), or Ecclesia and the survivors need to find the scattered blades and return them to Alba. That Brand on their chest is most certainly a sign that they've fully recombined, but the mention that Albaz is inside Frozen Flame in no uncertain terms informs us that it isn't a complete fusion. probably the two have departed from their original, incomplete selves too much for that to be possible. And considering everything, I'd wager that Ecclesia needs to trick Albert-controlled-Alba into fusing with her in some form in order to awaken Albaz for him to fully take over and consume Albert.
Unfortunately, that's probably only the first step. Albert is working with Despia, but he's clearly not the ringleader. Meaning even when they get Albaz back, they'll still need to ward off Despia themselves.
With all the anti-fusion that the Dogmatika have, coupled with the Despian emphasis on Fusion, I would like to propose at this time that the Dogmatika at some point in their past faced off with Despia. Or maybe we can call them by a more familiar name. D/D/D. If the Hole, and Abyss by proxy, is the place this world exists in, it is safe to assume they're in some form of unstable pocket dimension. That is why Holes open up at random, and also why the Despia hasn't invaded despite their mounting power. The Dogmatika had a defense against them, and the world itself was difficult to get to......until Albaz found a way through. I think the Despia are a branch of the D/D/D race, considering they come from the other side of a void in space. And that multiple Yugioh worlds have had problems with between-realm invaders who have an affinity for Fusion summoning. Also note that I mention D/D/D _race_. As in they are of the same kind of being, but not exactly alligned. The D/D/D's we have seen are far more straightforward after all, while the Despia are quite indirect and.....well, kinda inefficient with all the theatrics. It's probably how the Lightning Trio escaped, with Despia screwing around with their gimmick too much.
How did you get the idea of D/D/Ds being roped into this? I don't see much similarities other than being from other dimensions and fusing.
@@nkyfong that seems to be their logic. however i'd also like to note D/D/Ds are fiends, while the Despia are Fairy or Fiend. so that's not an exact 1:1 at all bc where did the fairy typing come into this? if they were all fiends rather than just the fusions I would have bought that part a little more.

My logic in that regard is that the Fiend Despia likely hand created them, or took them from previously conquered worlds without converting them fir the sake of power. Easier to convince a new world to worship your ambassador if they're still a Fairy under scrutiny, rather than a Fiend masquerading as one. Other than that you've got my logic lol
And I'll also be the first to admit this is wild speculation I thought would be fun as a headcanon.
@@clayxros576 this is also an interesting angle to look at it from because its clear Albert/Aluber is the evil half of Albus/Albaz, the latter of which is instead a dragon instead of fairy or fiend bc Aluber is a fairy but as Masquerade he's a fiend. i've seen some speculation about why albaz is a dragon but what do you think?

In Yugioh dragons hold a form of divine prestige, even going back as far as Blue Eyes. Either we see the ultimate force of good being a Dragon, or the opposite as the end of days due to an equally powerful evil. Both kraken back to the divine battle between good and evil, even more blatant in the Luster Pendulum cycle where the good ascended allies while the evil corrupted and consumed. Albaz seems to be a manifestation of that evil, but with itself facing an inner conflict. Perhaps this is where the True King of All Calamities ended up, being branded (heh) with Luster's light enough for good to emerge within him. But, that went against his nature, so the two parts split. This is why Albaz would be able to instinctually fuse with those around him, a resultant ability from using Dragon Alchemy on himself so long ago, and why he had no name until Ecclesia gave him one. Hes a new creature altogether.
Albert on the other hand would be the old, now shattered evil portion. Weakened and thrown through dimensions, he runs into Despia and is able to manipulate them to pursue Albaz. This is how their possessed objects (and Albert himself) are Fairies. Albert's more divine based magic having come from a dragon, but being forced to split from his draconic half, result in twisted but still divine Fairies. When combining with the Despia, though, the true Fiend within the intentions and source come to play.
That's my speculation and take at least. Dragons in Yugioh as divine, both good and evil, always combating each other. Though the good somehow always tends to banish the Evil, implying the evil itself is an illness. It would explain why there are so many good turned evil then good again monsters.

It seems to me that the events in dogmatikabra is after she is healed and she returns with the two guys she escaped with to either get revenge or they came back to try and slay Maximus because her outfit is post dogmatika fleurdelis.

Branded lost might not be depicting before Albaz turns into Mirrorjade but after the fight with Lubellion showing how he's being forced into a fusion with the Aluber before Branded Separation kicks him out, and leaves us with Albaz The Ashen.
But what about the Tri-Brigade? What happened to them after Branded Opening (were they the initial "offering," the ally silently eliminated while the main heroes are absent)? As for their scarves, I'm taking a stab that it's a symbol of identification/solidarity for them, akin to the Resistance's red scarves in Yu-Gi-Oh! Arc-V.
Remember Dra(gon) Crown of Mysterion from way back? Unless it's secretly Albaz and Aluber's original form, which is at best unlikely, I believe Dracrown is Dogmatika Maximus wielding Nexus' power under the auspices of the Church as it had been presenting itself. If that was the real Dramaturge that Quaertis absorbed, though, maybe the Church actually was somewhere not evil and the Despians just co-opted it--because it's a bit of a trope for the stool pigeon (if Maximus/Dramaturge had done such) to be "brought home to roost" once they've been defeated.

i'm honestly worried for the tri-brigades safety since it's been awhile since we've seen them and the last time we've seen them is in branded opening (iirc) because i'm afraid that they'll got turned into something like the albaz knight except fully transformed especially in branded opening we can see Shrike seems like is way too focused on giving commands to others, not realizing Quaeritis is trying to snatch his weapon which is a perfect setup usually for the heros to fail to defeat the enemies and got corrupted in stories (or in zombie movies i guess). which later in the story Kitt arriving to the battle with Therions now have to faced her closest group of friends and her sister in battle, which..... i hope is not the case....

Long Yuan could possibly have been corrupted by Ab Libitum, during Swordsoul Blackout.
Ab Libitum also seems to be a despian version of Ashiyan, noting the clawed hands, and Libitums effects being very similar to that of Dogmatikacism which has Ashiyan in its artwork.

> who is "White Relic of Dogmatika"? she was Eclesia replacement. Dramaturge used her to become Quaeritis, or perhaps, the requirement to summon it. if my eye didn't fail me, you can see her inside the gate opened by Dramaturge in Dogmatikaturge scene.
> where's she? inside Nexus which become Prokenion. Once Iris done with Quaeritis, Prokenion revert back to Nexus.

Maybe the combo in which you summon lubelion, active it's effect and summon mirrorjade, is actually a hint at the order of events in the lore. Like maybe aluber made albaz fuze with them and through the intervention of the icejade, albaz is able to separate from aluber (shuffling both lubelion and albaz, in essence separating the two) thus becoming mirrorjade.

Mercourier is the bird that shows in the art for Springan's Watch! So it was not a springan but another member of the TriBrigade
So based on that wording, Leaper doesn't HAVE to return an equip, it can also be a therion S/T in the backrow. However, the value of bouncing a regulus or lily back to your hand seems great enough in itself.

One thing I will say is I think the timing for your fleur sections seems to be off. I think icejade cradle is a prequel to all of the event we see fleur as the Iris sword soul. I think it goes like this. Alden and Theo bring fluer to the swordsouls (as seen in the swordsoul emergence spell card), she is then put into the icejade cradle to be purified, probably because of how we see her in white knight of dogmatika. At that point she becomes the iris sword soul. Then we see her attacking golgonda in judgment of the branded. After that fleur, Theo and Aldin go back to dogmatika, where all the stuff that is happening to them in the recent cards plays out
TLDR: all the cards that we see fleur as the iris swordsoul in take place after icejade cradle, rather than before it
Don´t know if anyone has pointed this out in any other video related to this series, but when talking about the cards "Branded in white" and "Branded in red", and their connection to their respective characters (Albaz and Aluber) you could make a connection to the roots of the characters´names. Albaz could be taken from the root "Albus" meaning white in latin, and "Albion" means "white" in latin. As for Aluber, in japanese its´pronounced "a-ru-be-ru" which could be a reference to the latin word "Rubrum", meaning red. Branded in *White* (Albion) and branded in *Red* (Rubrum)
Given the quote at the beginning of this series, it seems they are doing a Dark Souls style oroboros legend that repeats itself. Parasitic light forces (white) and parisitic dark forces (red) battle over the common folk (blue). Perhaps blue just represents electricity, or man-made power, and white and red are divine powers. This part is like when Lee took over Ib, so perhaps, after a tough battle, Albaz will take control for a moment and sacrifice himself?
They look really promising from what I’ve seen in ocg, while they aren’t too meta here in tcg they definitely look top tier. With no drytron or flundereeze taking the spot behind adventure/despia decks in tcg abc/ cyber dragon builds will shake things up

Speaking of albaz I use to run the deck before settling on dinosaurs. I switched the extravagance with allure of darkness since it’s a safer option and most of the monsters in an albaz deck are dark anyways plus mercourier is the best allure target anyone could ask for since it lets you plus so much.
For the sigil on the Abyssal Dragon I think it connects to the 4 tribes of this continent. Tri-brigrade, Spriggans, Dogmatika/Despian, IceJade/Swordsoul.

4 months late to the party, but does the fireball in the top left of "Branded Forfeiture" (34:00) kinda look like the being in the Therion card "Perpetual Engine Argyro System" (7:45) but a fire or maybe Spriggans version?

Honestly, I think Albaz is in control in Alba-Renatus.
He's the first Fusion material and it's not like any of his other Fusions look alike: they all take on features of what they have absorbed.

I had no idea that these cards were part of the albaz story, I thought they were retrains or something of the koa'ki meiru. The whole monster of the same type thing is why.
Springans Captain Sargas shares a lot in common with the Therions.
1) CAPTAIN Sargas - KING Regulus
2) Sargas gives an ATK boost just like the Therions (only 200 weaker)
3) The overseer of the Therions battle, looks just like a white version of Springans
4) Sargas design looks like more like the Therions than the other Springans who look more like ammunation for their ship
I believe Sargas is an ex-therion who left and joined or created the Springans.
It will be interesting if albaz is just like dracoslayer situation also the symbol on the final fusion reminds of maximums hands
On the tokens of albaz and eccelsia both are holding something what looks like two parts of one object/picture/etc.
Dogmataikaturgy also shows iris in the portal as the priest is showing ecclesia also would explain why we haven’t seen any of the other ex dogmatika in recent battles

Little fun fact: Iris is also in Magic The Gathering Neon Dynasty as a planewalker known as The Wondering Emperor. In MGT the lore revolve around Samurai and Mech robots. In YuGiOh it fusion.
