ASWC-1 2005 Toyota Camry w/factory JBL system without Nav. install tip!!!

I fought this thing all night only to realized that I didn't ground the red wire. make sure that you don't open up the regular plug, and only chapter 3 wire plug I show you in the video

A year later and your video was still a literal life saver. After 4 hours of looking at a bunch of videos and contemplating if cutting my factory wires was worth keeping the buttons, I was going crazy looking for where the wires go on the main connector. And on my connector there is a connection on slot 7 & 8 (audio wires) but nothing on 6 so I was extremely confuse where the ground needed connected to. I was considering that connector but since It only had 3 wires connected to it and on the manual it showed more wires I figured it wasn’t right.

I struggled with the same exact thing.........Man what kind of world do we live in where a red wire is a ground and a black wire is not......car audio world

Bro!!!!!! Eventhough it is stated in the instructions. YOu saved the day. I was about to continue installation without steering wheels controls. Its says Get ACWS - Wire AND pin6 to chassis ground. I missed that detail hahahahahah

Do you have detailed wiring? Trying to replace the heat unit to get CarPlay and a camera. The JBL is killing me.
