The best place to ground your amp is under the back seat on the left side or right side that is not a good ground on the upper rear deck on the 2018 through 2020 Camry. The output on the stock head unit puts out a very weak signal on the rear channel, you have to tap into the front speakers right and left not from only one side, run a lead from front left positive and negative and front right positive and negative that way your fader works correctly. to find you're positive and negative for right and left use a multimeter, it is very easy. don't go by the digrams out there they are not accurate, they have not come ut with the correct wire diagram for 2018 through 2020 Camry yet.
@@adrianbucio3650 I used the rear and the front on my line out converter and you can see a difference in the bass. It hits harder using the front left and right. Hey don’t know if you still look at these comments but I wanted to ask something. Do you have any static feedback? Like does a hiss noise come from your speakers? I had my speakers replaced and an amp put in but that created a hiss noise and they said it was because the stock head unit amp isn’t as powerful . To get rid of the hiss they told me I would have replace the stock head unit with an aftermarket one . I would rather not since it’s expensive and the new dash kit I would have to use would ruin the look. So yeah, I was wondering if you had this problem
I think the hiss noise can occur when you run the signal wire going to the amp to close to other wires which emit noise. This wire should be run away from all other wires to not absorb the noise.

Or do I have to upgrade something to where my subwoofers don't kill my batteries? Please I need your advice

@David Boggs Was looking for this comment right here!! thinking the same thing.. he’s either ignorant or uninformed I haven’t watched him enough to tell🤷♂️ but he was asking for his fuses to blow doing that shit with both terminals connected. He’s lucky he didn’t try that on an old car without the failsafes that new cars have!
Cant you just get a adaptor for the factory line that converts it to positive and negative. From there you use the + and - to RCA. Then from AMP new speaker wires?
If you don't want to cut up the factory wires you could use any kind of splice connectors *posi taps* are a preferred brand. An alternative is the add a sub wiring harness from tacotunes.com that plugs into the connector at the back of the radio and gives you wires with rear speaker signal to use to connect to the LOC

Hey thanks for your concern , but this was a bran new car I believe it was 2 weeks old when I did this so one this car been so new if I disconnect the battery and then the radio get lock/block then more work for me ,, two you don't need to disconnect the battery to do a sound system , that's your choice,, the system still working like day one ,, this is not the first sound system that I done , but like I say if you want to put everything out of wack got for it
I need to run 2 #8 wires from the battery to the trunk for my Ham Radio. This was helpful, thanks
Your welcome thanks for your feedback
So I did this but I connected it to a 10 amp fuse would that make a difference
Well just make sure when car is off that fuse is also off
Is the process the same for a 18 carolla ?
Yes
I have a 2019 Toyota camry just purchased and followed your exact instructions to the tee.i got up yesterday to go out to my car and my battery was completely dead...why is there constant power going to my amp to kill my battery
I believe there is a wire that you connect to the wrong on ,, where you got your output make sure you got them on the correct wires ,, also make sure the blue wire is not touching the red at the amp ,, I done over 15 camrry same way and they are all good ,, let me know ,,
To be sure just disconnected the blue wire from the fuse box ,, maybe that the one not on the correct fuse
The green light on my amp is still staying on with the key out of ignition
@@Misty948 you have your remote hooked to a constant ...also use a add a circuit at the fuse box
misty randolph switch you ground on the line out converter . I did that and it went away
Hey man I’m doing this and I’m having so much trouble trying to run the power wire through the groumet I’ve tried screwdriver, knife, clothes hanger, and a arrow and I still can’t find where it’s suppose to come through at under driver side any help would be appreciated
If you want to see exact where you need to runt it true remove the battery ,
This must’ve been one of the bare-bones Camry sold because the JBL system in the XLE V6 is outstanding.
vulcanman64 I have a 19’ and toyota did the most by making some come with the jbl’s and some not I have a xle too mine are good but not jbl good lol
Yup maybe ,, I'm sure they have like 3 option
There you go vulcanman64
No it’s not. It’s trash. Have you ever been in a car with a mediocre factory setup? Apparently not if you think the jbl is great lmaoo. I bet your last car was a 1990 civic
Hey bro do you know the cablee for the speakers wich is front and wich is back’s
At the radio
I have a doubt . where is going to the blue wire which you connected to the right side of the fuse ??? Can you explain me plz .......
Unplug the blue wire and see if everything work ,,
@nester auto repair great video! I tried to pull sound from the same place you were working behind the driver side panel, but I assumed the black and red wires that I found at the speaker were also the same behind the door in that harness 😔. So those 2 wires you used, the purple/white and yellow/white do you think I can pull high level input from those??? And just use high level input??
Hi yes you can use the hi input there
Does the door speakers still output bass with the subs
Yes
Do you have any advice on how to get rattle out of the rear deck? In my TRD the rattle is super bad and I have the fixed backseat so I have no idea on how to remove the seat to access the panel to use sounds deadening. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
You can add the deadening from the inside of the trunk
theres a video out there look up 2018 bass rattle camry...you have to shove from underneath foam or padding many times. ive had mine a year, and im still adding foam about every other month. basically the car movement settles the padding so its not tight anymore. at some point i assume it will be full and tight for good.
Hello Nestor, do you know if the speaker wire colors are the same for a 2018 SE Camry non-JBL system? Thanks
Yes same
@@nestorautorepair great news! Thanks for the quick response! I enjoyed your video, very helpful 👍🏾
You welcome thanks Erick
Hey I followed you exact instructions except running the power wire on the other side of the car. As soon as I turned on my car the amp went into protection mode. Could this be a problem with the amp. It was a amp that I’ve had for 5 years and it overheated a lot. Need help!!
Oh men sound like the amp is bad then
I have a question, I've installed a after market radio, 2 10" Sundowns and 2500w old school ssl amp running 4gauge wire for the positive and ground. Everything plays well but I keep killing batteries. I killed 2 and decided to remove them. Is there anything that I could be possible doing wrong? Or do I have to upgrade something to where my subwoofers don't kill my batteries? Please I need your advice
Hello and yes what you need is a capacitor power and ground come into the capacitor and out to the amp, , if you don't have a capacity you will also kill your altenator, , best luck
@@nestorautorepair Will do. Thanks buddy 👍
Ok thanks best luck
Also, were you able to put the fuse cover back on?
Yes
Hi I loved the video however I did have one question. I have a 2018 camry Se and was wondering if the process would be the same to tap into the back seat speakers?
Hello yes same prossess
Thats what i was planning to do. Curious why you tapped into the door speaker? Seems like more work than necessary, what was your reason?
That will be the faster way boss
You don't need to remove the door panel , I just did it to show the different on the wires
I have done everything on a car except fuck with speakers for some reason that crap bothers me this will make my life so much easier
Ok
Ground need to be on the chachis of the car and need to be sanded out to remove paint so you have a clean connection
Correct ,, had no problem with all the one I done same spot ,, but thanks for sharing
just some advice guys it be easier to pull the the power wire the other way. you'd be pulling 2 ft instead of 20ft
Ok
Muchas gracias.
Dale cualquier cosa me escribe , suelte
So for the power wire, did you poke a hole through the grommet in the fire wall? Like stab through it? Or did it slide in next to all the other wires?
Yes poke a hole
Also for anyone that does not have wiring schematics white and green is negative on the right side blue and pink is positive
Thanks
Hey bro can you help me I have a question
Yes sir what’s your question?
Im having trouble with the remote wire on my 2020 Camry it’s not working in the spot you said you put it at
My amp isn't turning on. Do I need to use the remote port to turn on the amp. I'm using an lc2i pro
Ohh I see
There are video that will show you . This will be hard over text
Were is your shop at how much would you charge for the same exact work on my Toyota?
Yes sir I'm in Sterling va $120
Sterling California ? Antioch or were exactly if you don't mind me asking
Sterling Virginia , next to Dallas airport
Would this be similar to a corolla install
I'm sure it will be very very close the color on the wires maybe different , but same process
It’s 4 am and I’m watching how to do this... I don’t even own a Camry. I want one but I don’t have one right now.. weird
Lol good you be ready to do a sound system when you get your thanks
Hahahaa. It's sparking because you're suppose to disconnect the negative from the battery ROFL, and most certainly not have the car running.
holy shit lol.
what the fk are you talking about,,,it sparks because its charging the capacitors inside the amp,,,,,pendejo,,,,even if you disconnect the negative,,when you put it back it will do the same,,,hahahahahahaha holy sht,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
@@tonycastro6154 doesn’t change the fact that your supposed to disconnect the negative cable BEFORE installing anything electrical. So your wrong. It wouldn’t spark anyway because if he disconnected everything prior to install it wouldn’t have charged up idiot. This is why kids shouldn’t be allowed to have nice things.
Any problems regarding the mpg's after installation, because I'm having a 3700 graded @ two 40 amp fuses in my hybrid Toyota highlander?
Mmm let's hope some one can help you with your question boss
lmao this has nothing to do with MPG
Lol
Why didn’t you just pull the head unit and get your preout inputs from there? Much easier?
The owner dint want me to remove it
My rca converter has two ground wires, do I need to use both?
Yes both
@@nestorautorepair I’m having some issues, everything is working fine but I get constant humming when my doors are closed, any help?
Mmm the game only thing that can think is that one your rca is making contact to the car
Cant you just get a adaptor for the factory line that converts it to positive and negative. From there you use the + and - to RCA. Then from AMP new speaker wires?
Not that I know off
If you don't want to cut up the factory wires you could use any kind of splice connectors *posi taps* are a preferred brand. An alternative is the add a sub wiring harness from tacotunes.com that plugs into the connector at the back of the radio and gives you wires with rear speaker signal to use to connect to the LOC

@@jamesriddle7793 Thanks man, your the best!
Thanks boss ,, thanks for your feedback
You can put the rca inverter in the trunk tap it to the rear deck speakers this way you don’t have to run a long rca cable
Yeah only if your car has speakers in the deck , this one did not have
So there is no need to remove the head unit at all?
Not at all just follow my video
Unless you have an after market radio than there is rca inputs in the back
Correct
I followed your instructions and it works perfectly
Thanks for your feedback , I glad it work for you thanks
How many feet is the wire ? I was thinking or ordering 10 feet cable wire
Hello you need 16 feet
@@nestorautorepair awesome thanks a lot
I need some help with mine ? I took it to a shop but I don't think they wired the lc2 right
Very good video. Any videos where show how the wire looks like before you put the fuse back in the box?
Thanks for your feedback,, I delete all the video I had sorry
Does it rattle? My Camry rattles everywhere especially in the trunk and dashboard.
Yes you need to add Dynamite
@@nestorautorepair You'll have no rattle at all after that, because you will have blown up your car, lol!
Lol I work on people cars my is a blue Ford fusion lol,, yes cars this day is all plastic that's what all the rattler
is this a hybrid engine?
No
4 cylinder regular
Is there another fuse I can use? I am already using that fuse for my aftermarket fog lights
Yes just test a fuse that will go off when key off
@@nestorautorepair the only other 15amp fuse in that box is the radio fuse. I havent checked to see if it's on the accessories. But I cant image its not
Oh ok if not then change the one you have your fog to a 20amp and put both there
I just installed fog lights too...was wondering which set did you get..? I have an install question..
I did a sound system not fog lights ,, but ask me your question I may have an answer for you
I installed the same way you did and the remote wire isn’t turning off my amp
Then I don't think you are connecting at the same fuse
Tengo un 22 xse v6 con sistema jbl la señal se puede agarrar del bajo ?
Si se puede
Very detailed instructions. I like.. Thanks for the post.
You got it boss,, thanks for the feedback

You don’t have to connect it the radio??
Like to the back of the touchscreen?
Isn’t easiest to tap into the rear speakers with out having to remove panels?
Yes only if your car comes with rear speaker this car did not come with rear speaker.
@@nestorautorepair didn’t know that lol thanks for the reply
