    So what was the percentile benefit of supplementing creatine for mass and strength over just exercise alone?

      Feels like 10-12% for me. I have gone on/off creatine twice in 6 months, it took me about 20-days on 3g/day, and then strength gains, are sudden. Additionally, my recovery periods reduced by about a third. I was able to workout for almost 3 hours, previously unheard of for me.
      Drawbacks - you will sleep less, and pee more, well maybe not you, but me.

    To maintain the benefits you'd need to be taking it constantly
    Would it not be better to focus on good quality food?

    I am 80 years old, work out at a gym three days a week and bowl one or two days a week. Would creatine benefit me at my age?

    • @reggiepalmer6157

      Obviously then you wouldn't take it right

    • @whatta1501
      @whatta1501 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Reggie Palmer yes, obviously you are correct, but i would like to learn about the why and how to get this level corrected. My protein intake isn't more than 90gr of meat protein. While i was taking creatine, i felt great and energetic and did not want to stop. So a more detailed explanation on creatine would be much appreciated. I just happened to review my blood work from a year past, which leads me to think that i am not the only one with this issue, and if you are pushing a certain supplement, give full details. For example, check your creatine levels first before you blindly start this supplement.

    So is this a sales conference

    • @stevekrask8499
      @stevekrask8499 ปีที่แล้ว

      No. Global educational conference to share all the latest research on how creatine supplementation can help the human body, from conception to old age. Plans are to have a conference every 2 years. Most of the focus is for Doctors to interface with other Doctors via the conference. Creatineforhealth, on social media platforms, is being developed to fill the gaps between conferences and provide the scientific in formation in lay-terms that the average person can understand. Alzchem is the basic manufacturer of creatine. It is sold into distribution under the trade name Creapure(r)...so at the end of of the day, the more people that know about how creatine can help you live a better life and age well, the more people will purchase Creapure(r). And to circle back to your comment, It does increase creatine sales which is good for companies in the supply chain.

      It has a lot of good information but my brain keeps asking who prepared the presentations? The presenters seem to just red through the prepared presentations. It seems scripted.

    • @stevekrask8499
      @stevekrask8499 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@roughout Dennis, it is scripted. DBSS wrote the program format and we reached out to researchers to see if they wanted to participate in the 2022 conference. We sponsor a conference about every 4 years. The next one should be in 2026, but it may be sooner as research accelerates. The researchers were just covering their published papers. The doctors prepared their own presentations based on their field of study.

    Severe muscle cramping. For what it’s worth, I’ve taken creatine monohydrate three times from different major suppliers. The first two times, I took 5g (no loading), but I had severe muscle cramps after a month or so. I researched more and could find very little info about creatine creating muscle cramping, only that it didn’t cause it. I also found that lower doses were often as effective, so I took 3g/day on my third try with another supplier. Same result. Severe muscle cramping, mostly in my legs, and I mean severe. Since creatine was supposed to be the most researched and "safe" supplement, I think that I’m done with supplements, especially since, if one was actually effective without negative side effects, you never know what’s going to be in the container next time.

      Have you been taking magnesium? Do you eat enough dark green veggies, such as spinach and kale? Try supplementing w mag glysoophate or citrate and see if the cramping stops. It is not the creatine. Good luck! Oh, and hydrate well!

    What about close to 13 to 15 a day, maybe 10 days or so? It gave me "problems" at 20 but when I took it mixed with a casein protein powder problem went away.

    These so-called experts are totally clueless, because they fail to emphasize the impact chronic illnesses and diseases have on older adults. Therefore, exercises, especially resistance training aren't a daily option.

      This is an anecdotal claim and does not align with all the massive studies on creatine and performance. It is well proven to boost strength and muscle gains beyond questioning. If you knew more on the subject, you would also know that any water retention is intra cellular and why that is important.
