This song has already gotten Dreamcatcher their 3rd and 4th win! 🥳🥳I love BONVOYAGE. Lyrically it's the story of Dreamcatcher's own personal apocalypse, told from 3 different perspectives:
1) Pre-debut Dreamcatcher (also known as Minx), who are at their lowest point in their careers and who have to make a choice. Give up their dream or re-debut as Dreamcatcher with a completely different image and sound. (verses)
2) Post-debut Dreamcatcher, who are treating every day as their last, going full speed ahead with their new image and sound, while leaving their Minx era image behind. (chorus)
3) Current day Dreamcatcher, a blend of both Minx and Dreamcatcher, who are looking back with pride and love at both versions of themselves. (intro, pre-chorus, bridge and final chorus) ❤
We can take lessons from Dreamcatcher's story and apply it to our own climate apocalypse: Nature is dying, humanity is at a crossroad. If we make the right changes and choices now, and make sure we stick to them and never give up, then in the future humanity can become one with nature and look back at ourselves with pride and love.
Bonus Minx connection: You can also see the Minx-Dreamcatcher connection in their stage outfits. They are either traditional Dreamcatcher style and colorful, or Minx style and darker. The dance also does a good job in mixing Dreamcatcher dance moves and Minx like moves.
I think the meaning behind Bonvoyage's is to leave the Mother Nature heal by herself & there's nothing much we can do except for let her go or we will face the consequences. No matter how angry Mother Nature to humanity, deep in our heart, we still love her. The light dome barrier at the end of the MV probably is the last shelter for humanity in post apocalyptic world, look like the world already healing & the forest flourisharound them when Gahyeon dissolved the light barrier. It's time to start a new life chapter again.

This song gave them 2 wins in music shows (The Show and Show Champion) against bigger and more famous k-pop groups. I was so proud of them. I also think you will like their song "propose" from this new mini-album.

Dreamcatcher is my favorite kpop group. From the first time I heard them. Best singers and dancers in the female kpop world and I think top 10 even including the men dance wise.

There's a theory where they failed to save la maison and are leaving, saying bon voyage, goodbye to the earth and are heading to space, and such the next comeback might be in outer space with space stations and alien siyeon

Storyline: Bon Voyage follows Maison and Vision, as part 3 of the Apocalypse Trilogy. After an environmental apocalypse in Maison, that brought war in Vision, Bon Voyage concludes the trilogy and brings everything together. The Goddesses from Maison have descended to Earth to fight and protect it but, the Apocalypse happened. The planet is devestated and deserts and weird levitating magnetic phenomena are everywhere. The Goddesses have a plan though. In the end of Vision, as war rages on, they give the World a Vision, their plan how to fix things. Humans must seperate from Nature and let it heal. So they isolate themselves inside their habitats and place crystals that emit barriers around these cities. We see as the Goddesses deploy these crystals (shields) in the end of Vision.
Humans say a bittersweet Bon Voyage to their planet, and leave with the hope of reuniting one day with it. The Goddesses create a Pokémon looking creature, Celly, and many others, to help them with their work. Meanwhile, Nature heals. Animals, plants and insects reappear. After a long time, we watch as the Goddeses lower the shield barrier in one of the habitats and a beautiful Green Earth is revealed around it.

I had shower thought of DC collaborate with Smilegate the first time they announced the apocalypse trilogy because the concepts fits LA especially Arthetine, kinda.

"Bon Voyage" is the 3rd and final part of the Apocalypse trilogy, which is about the destruction of the environment by humanity. The members have mentioned that it is about giving nature a break. Any encounter between human beings always has separation attached to it as well, just as death is a part of life. SuA also said that the fluffy floating thing that Dami summons from her painting is a cell. It has been named "Celly" and is adorable, right? Right? 😉
My dark mind believes that they are saying "Have a good trip" to humanity, since we are well on our way of wiping ourselves out. It's like a breakup between humanity and the earth. Once humanity is gone, nature gets the break it needs and the circle will begin again. For me, the key to understanding the lyrics is that they are singing as human beings, not as a single person. And they are singing to nature, confessing their love and the realization that we are not good for nature and that it probably resents us. It could also be the other way round (them singing as mother nature to humanity).
SuA jumping out after the dove seem to represent their desire for peace.
There are still many things I don't know. For example, why are all three titles in French. 😉 (And why are there 3 Damis with 7 shadows...)
The story of the MV seems to be that the rest of humanity has sheltered away under force fields after the apocalypse. This gives nature time to heal.
Musically I can already say this is one of their best songs for me. The chorus slaps hard, and the variations between heavy and slow are just beautiful. It has emotion and impact at the same time. Putting JiU's sweet voice together with an acoustic guitar is simply genius. And as a bass player, I can say the slap bass is crazy!
I probably won't have to tell anyone that the visuals here are out of this world. I'm going to say it anyways: The members have never looked more beautiful, and the whole team all deserve a raise!
