      I don't know what went wrong in my early years that accounts for this Hydronaut addiction, but my parents have some explaining to do.

    I picked up the white dial 39mm OP at retail during its short life. At about the same time my AD offered a 36mm OP Explorer dial in blue which I turned down. What an error!! Always great videos, thank you!!

    I ❤ the blue Yacht Master……great review, also that older Turnograph is one of my favourites, I like the discrete size and practicality.

    I own a few nice watches...PP 5396 annual calendar...Vacheron Overseas Gen II blue dial...along with numerous Rolex watches...Sub, Explorer II polar, GMT Master II coke etc. Of all my watches the watch that I get the most comments on is my OP41 yellow dial. It is a really fun watch to wear!!!

    The 6 digit ToGs had smaller dials than regular DJs to accommodate the rotating bezels so they wore even smaller.

    Thanks for the videos man, if I could recommend one thing it's to do a price in USD or (selfishly THB cus I'm in Thailand haha) just because it is easier to keep tabs. It saves us all from having to do conversion and would make your video stand out more. (I know I'm lazy but I'll watch anyway!)

    Idea for a video, Austin: 16622 Vs 16610. I own both, both fantastic, but the yachtmaster takes it for me.....just. I'd be interested in your thoughts.

    great video, keep em coming! As I prep for my september trip to Japan, I'm trying to narrow down the pieces to hunt for. Since you spend a lot of time on Rakuten, have you noticed a decent number of pieces in physical stores not being listed online? For example, I don't think there are only 8 fat lady's in Japan for sale, surely more than the ones just on Rakuten/c24. In other news, last year I was able to get my dad a ss exp 1 at retail no purchase history. Looking to build on it but my sales guy told me lefty GMT is impossible even with clients who have over 20 rolex watches (rolex only store), so I'm aiming for a dj 36 with motif dial and ym40 rhodium. Trying my luck at other places for lefty GMT

    I think early 2000s 16600 Sea Dwellers are good value in Japan. Looking for a no holes case when I visit.

    the 126710blro, 5513 & yellow OP 41 were my favourite. in singapore i have checked with rsc, they dont allow change between the colorful dials (obviously), but u can "downgrade" it to the "boring" colors if you want. same thing for blro oyster vs jubilee, for some reason they told me i cant buy the oyster bracelet if i have the jubilee one, but if i have have oyster , i can buy the jubilee bracelet. not too sure about japan's rsc policy, but sg rsc has one of the most stringent/not-so-lax policies for rsc imo

    As an Hydronaut owner (thanks to you Austin!) adding a 3rd isn’t completely illogical.
    The thing that always gets me about the Hydronaut is that damn trip-lock crown. So satisfying and so rare!

    i think the yachtmaster with the rhodium dial actually has rhodium in the dial because they quietly replaced it with something different a year or two ago but kept the color

    I like the two tone turnograph. I am also considering a hydronaut. There is a white dialed 85190 recently service by rsc for 1700€ in my market, is this reference also worth looking at?

    • @watchsymposium
      @watchsymposium  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nah, the 85190 Hydronauts are 36mm (instead of 40mm like the 89190).
      That's the thing about the Hydronauts that you have to be careful about; there are smaller sized ones, but they don't look it in photographs.
