Rick. I love your no limits to making anything. The idea of the onion gravy in the middle is a fantastic trick. You think it, you want it, you make it, you eat it. Whats more simpler than that. NO SORRY, these can't be bought as a ready meal. Just follow the steps shown. If you can't follow then go chip shop or takeaway, cheaper than delivery.

I've been using my air fryer for about 4 or 5 months now, and it really is the handiest thing to buy, and probably the best £120 I've ever spent in the kitchen. We have cooked quite a few toad in the holes in our Hysapientia, and they have all turned out perfect. Can't beat toad in the hole, and we will definitely try this pie recipe out 👍👌😎
We also use lamb chops instead of sausages for Toad in the hole. It's what my mum did. This version looks delicious and we'll probably try it with lamb chops.
Liked and saved to my cooking playlist before the first minute was through. My favourite food in the whole world is sausages. I make the best sausages I have ever tasted (not that I'm biased). Toad in the Hole with a cheesy mash topping sounds superb. Make it a mustard mash and you're heading towards orgasmic.

We also had a group of volunteers from Jamaica make spicy beef pies with fried plantains my mouth thought it had died and gone to heaven. I should explain we were all there with children needing specialized care from different hospitals in the area.
My mum used to make toad in the hole a lot when I was young. She used the Yorkshire pudding batter, which had been poured into the hot oil in a pan, partially cut sausages and placed in the batter, then cook in a hot oven. So yummy.
I love toad in the hole! It was actually the very first thing I ever made.. made it in school, ☺️. It was gorgous and I still have it now and then as a treat to myself… my Tongan neighbours love it too! Spreading the joy! 😅thanks Rik! 🙌🏼.

I made this yesterday to take with me today to my daughters. My son-in-law is English and loves Yorkshire pudding. So I just had to give this recipe a try. They had it for their dinner tonight and sent me picture's. Wow! the reviews I got were incredible because they absolutely loved it. It is now my son-in-laws favourite dish. He'll be wanting it regularly now. It is no wonder that Rik even went for a second serving. 😂😂 I boiled my diced onion in the amount of water I wanted for the gravy. My mother would always gently boil sliced onion in a small amount of water to put in her white sauce. (otherwise called Bechamel)
OMG, I just love the look of this take on toad-in-the-hole - all the best bits all in one dish - BRILLIANT! I'm also so jealous because of the Coleman's mustard (sadly, yet one more thing I can't get where I live). Wonder if you would consider making some homemade Cumberland sausages (or similar) at some point? Either way, thanks for all you do and for sharing "proper" grub! x
