When he catches the rock at the moon and throw it up he is measuring how much force he needs to get back to earth based on moon's gravity. It is a small detail but SO COOL

I love how the end of that fight is almost a tragedy in a sense. “The strongest hero” as a title card is almost sarcastic, since it’s the worst possible scenario for Saitama to be the literal best.

@@windygrass9807 Saitama is looking for someone to fight, as he is so strong he has been unable to find someone to match him, this is what makes it sad as he cannot find a worthy opponent. Imagine being the best with no competition, how will you improve?
@@windygrass9807 so even Boros calls him out on it as he’s dying that Saitama was faking it. He’s too strong. His one dream is to find a worthy opponent, so when Boros says “you were just too strong”, it hits Saitama hard, which is why his face darkens. When the title card appears, “the strongest hero”, it plays with sad music as well. It’s not meant to be a compliment. He’s frustrated as hell.
I love when Saitama is drawn as the goofy side kick for Genos... Saitama cheering Genos on as he pisses off Tatsumaki never gets old.

Saitama sees himself in Boros. A being so powerful that life had no meaning to a point where he traveled the whole universe to find stimulation and feel alive again. During the fight there are multiple key frames where Boros does the exact same poses as saitama did in his dream during the first episode fight, showing us that Boros does indeed find the opponent he was looking for. The heart beat sound effect before he unleashes his roaring canon is also a reference. Saitama realises that. He gets hope form that. In return, When he sees his enemy's ultimate attack, he gets the qué... Boros did his all, so to honor him he says "in that case, I will use my special move as well". he doesn't need to. He does it cause he relates to Boros' situation. What an insane episode, excellent writing. The perfect conclusion to an amazing first season. And people say that OPM is not deep.
i love how his final move is a "serious punch". he's basically saying he never punched seriously through the whole show besides then lmao
Man season three by Mappa gonna be absolutely insane if they match season 1’s standards.

Yeah man, it should be, bare in mind that one of MAPPA Studio’s co-founders is the also founder of Madhouse Studios, the Studio that made OPM season 1, so we should be getting season 1 level animation in season 3, and if you’ve watched Jujustu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man then you know that the visual quality of season 3 is going to be off the scales, especially considering the hype and status of OPM as a series

This episode is considered almost the dictionary version of “sasuga,” i.e. showing off how absolutely incredibly talented your animation/writing/acting is, to the point where it’s regarded as one of the best in anime history. And for good reason ☺️

I love how this show is just so much more than just a caped baldy that one punches everyone and it's all about the fight scenes, the comedy, the story telling, they somehow managed to make an anime where the protagonist already achieved his goal of becoming stronger, while also having a thrilling story for us viewers, and there's so much more to come!

Saitama’s reaction when Genos calls Tatsumaki a spoiled brat is one of my favorite parts of this episode outside of the fight with Boros
In case you didn't catch it, Lord Boros is a straight up parody of Goku from DBZ. They have the same saiyan hair, his only concern is finding strong opponents to fight, his Meteoric Burst is a temporary powerup that puts a strain on his body like Kiouken, he goes through like 2 power up transformations and gets wilder hair, and his Collapsing Star Roaring Cannon is pretty much just a rainbow Kamehameha. Which Saitama just punched in half. This show is so silly, and I love it.

I remember commenting on an earlier episode of your OPM reaction and mentioning that my co-top animes are Attack on Titan and One Punch Man. I am glad that you feel the same way about OPM. Those 2 anime could not be anymore different in style and tone (almost like opposite ends of the storytelling spectrum), yet they compliment each other due to unique and outstanding storytelling.

Ok I will say it right here. It doesn't matter if a powerful foe can take 2,3,10 or a 100 punches from Saitama. What really matter is that our hero is essentially apathic, but he is slowly finding his emotions being around people like Genos, Bang and King. He needs to find a purpose to his life, and what he has ever known is being a hero, the mightiest of all, but his friends makes him feel like living. That's a beautiful manga/anime
One is such a good writer ✍️ he’s created the strongest hero but because of the world he lives in with its ranks and hierarchy and his own personal ranking he’s ironically made him an underdog as most can’t see beyond his rank.

Metal knight is the one who's responsible for the death of genos family and metal knight is also the reason why genos became a cyborg.
Remember the episode when a meteor is about to hit the city Z and genos is about to blast it with its full energy drained him while bang is watching then metal knight suddenly came and say "i'm here just to test my new weapons"(explosive missiles)?that's the same plot where genos and his family caught on collateral damage when metal knight testing his new weapon but genos can't remember due to fatal damage and luckily genos was found by a scientist(the one genos calling "doctor")and fix him and just in order genos to survive doctor puts a lot of machines to genos body and that's why he became cyborg.

Edit: also, once you guys are done with this show, there’s another Anime I think you guys would like, it’s called “To Your Eternity” it’s not as well known as the other animes you’ve reacted to by a long shot, to put it briefly (avoiding spoilers) it’s an anime about a “thing” that’s sent down to Earth by a god of sorts and it moulds into objects and people due to physical or emotional pain and it’s got to learn how to speak, act and think like a human, honestly it’s such an underrated anime but you guys would love it

Whenever you guys catch up with this one or need to start another anime. I suggest y’all do Yu Yu Hakusho. That is my all time favorite anime and I know you guys will love it.
Saitama is not human at this point 😂 his body wouldve been done in no time as soon as he left the stratosphere, hell even moving in these crazy speeds should be wraps for his body 💀
His hero costume is also very durable as it can tank a Multi City blast, if it were a normal clothes he would be naked like back when genos incinerated those mosquitos.

Fun fact about Saitama, Kind of a Manga Spoiler but its bout Saitama so not a big deal, Saitama doesnt need to breathe in space, Here he was assuming he had to hold his breath so he did, Shown later that he can spend long periods of time in deep space talking having conversations on top of fighting hardest opponent hes ever faced while on a distant Moon Io with no oxygen, Even spent time off Moon fighting Garou in literal space...
When you think bout One Punch Man and who Saitama is and is supposed to be it only makes sense, Cosmic Garou isnt nearly going to be Saitamas strongest opponent ever and even it had to be taken into Space, Saitama being gag character he is its only natural hes Not Immortal* but Invincible* Assuming he can die of old age, If he doesnt age then yeah hes Immortal...
Point behind his Character is being invincible and finishing most fights with little to no effort, Yet at same time for Series to grow fights have to get stronger, Saitama has to be challenged or at least appear to be challenged otherwise people start getting bored with the indomitable MC that cant lose, Which is the case but imagine trying to write n animate compelling and investing fights for such a character, Its not really bout giving Saitama stronger opponents its about finding new ways to show off just how much Saitama can take and dish out, At no point are you questioning wether Opponent will win, Youre just invested in seeing Saitama performing bigger and bigger feats...
The whole Goku v Saitama gag is getting old but heres jist, At moment Saitama cant one shot Goku, But Goku cant ever take down Saitama and then we come to fact Saitama has built in Offensive Plot Armor in he can continually grow stronger infinitely (Yes Infinitely he broke his Limiter, Limitless*) Can grow stronger offensively Infinitely to eventually dominate any who cross him, Its literal near spot on representation of a Gag character with little to no flaws or weaknesses, Gokus Feats doesnt mean he wins specially when comparing him to a newer character whos had far less time to pile on feats, In the end Earth, Moon, The Sun, Well not the Sun Im sure Goku wouldnt survive that, Regardless of where they are fighting planet or moon w.e eventually gets dusted from Goku trying to defeat Saitama which inevitably leaves them both floating through space after Planet or Moon was destroyed, And Yeah Saitama can destroy Earth or Moons course himself and with 1 hand no less, But left floating in Space Goku either Dies or runs to another planet using Instant Transmission, He could grab and take Saitama with him but would lead to that planet evaporating or Goku runs to avoid death from Space, In the end comes down to either A. They call it a draw so as Goku doesnt die and they dont continue to destroy Planet after planet after planet, Its more so Goku giving up bc he doesnt want to die than it is a draw, or B. Saitama grows offensively to inevitably take down Goku, Given the ease at which Saitama fights he has no need to worry over Stamina either, Goku would burn out far quicker than Saitama...
So thats it, Imo anyone who honestly thinks Goku has a chance either hasnt read OPM or just doesnt like it or Saitama leading them to Biased decision Goku Wins, Its either Goku gives up, or Goku loses, Get over it...

Fun Fact: Saitama can indeed breath in space(it's confirmed in the manga) it's just that the moment he knew he was in space he immediately hold his breath (like that's impossible! You can't hold your breath in space! That would ruptured your lungs!) In conclusion, the vacuum of space doesn't affect saitama.
He even talked in one of Jupiter's moon Io and he just sneezed and Destroyed Jupiter!

It's always weird to me how positively you guys react to seeing Tatsumaki appear on screen because she has only ever acted spoiled, elitist and threatening to pretty much every other character around her. If Genos wasn't a cyborg she would have either permanently disfigured or even killed him. I'm not saying you're enjoying the show incorrectly or anything like that its just an interesting difference between how you guys and I perceive her. For me when she shows up its like this shows version of Daki from Demon Slayer while you guys seem to view her sort of like Nezuko.

Many have complaints about season 2 not being as good as season one and I can agree on that when you compare the animation but the overall story and humor of season two is still just as good
