A lot of people miss what Boros was really sad about but I think you guys caught it. He was sad FOR Saitama, not himself. He got the fight he always wanted but he couldn't give it to saitama. I actually came to enjoy this scene a lot more on rewatches because aside from the first episode this is only moment that really takes Saitama's situation seriously. The feeling of being disconnected from the world.

It helps to humanize Boros in a way, to show his empathy. He traveled the universe for decades looking for anybody strong enough to make him feel anything only to come across a guy who is so much stronger than him that even he couldn't provide him with a true fight, so from Boros eye, Saitama is suffering the same way he was but with no hope of escaping it.
And that was confirmed in the manga, the prophecy too.
boro's had a heartbeat moment too, like saitama did in his dream.
so yes, he was sad for saitama because he is ,most likely, the strongest in the universe and might never get that moment,

Chapter 181 pretty much confirms she does wear underwear, as King even makes a comment on how he saw them, saying "saw her panties".
The design for them is just made in a way to look invisible on the outside, imo. Like how you can wear a long hoodie over short shorts and look like you aren't wearing pants, if that makes sense.

amai mask actually has very interesting backstory and development an despite his bad manners he is actually a very sad figure.
i strongly beleive that reading the manga and the webtoon is the best way to experience the show. Murata's art is uncreachable even outside the media. Pure Artwork. i have no expectation that if and when season 3 comes out mappa would be able to match it.

Just so you guys know One Punch Man Season 2 is a major drop in quality. The animation studio for season one was mostly Mad House but a lot of the fight were done by lots of other companies and freelancers who could put their everything into just a few minutes.
Season 2 on the other hand is done by JCS staff, who were understaffed, overworked and under-equipped, which leads to a lot of the character models looking worse, fights being rougher and some terrible compositing. That being said the show is still very enjoyable and the greater focus on story is a welcome change, looking forward to those videos

I think something else that happened with Season 2 is they had less time as well, something like 25-50% less of it to work with.

It is a rough season, and the fact that no season 3 has been announced despite several rumors, just shows how the public took it and how it affected the company economically.
However, season 3 would have been the payoff for season 2 and it is sad to see how long it is taking to be made.

Also, throughout Boros v Saitamas fight: when you saw Boros get knocked back/injured, Saitama was attacking Boros; when you saw Boros throwing his barrage of fists at Saitama, Saitama was catching Boros’s punches

Season 2 is still fun, just be mindful in the drop in animation quality. From what I understand they were given way less time to put together the season than the average. That it still looks decent is a testament to the manga itself and the artist Murata, since the studio basically tried to 1:1 it.
Season 2 is done by an entirely different studio, that accounts for the drop in animation quality and shift in artstyle.

Spoilers for OPM, regarding Tatsumaki's panties' existance.
Tatsumaki is wearing underwear, but the only time we ever see it is in her chibi form when she eventually fights Saitama. And, as a fun bit of trivia, it ONLY seems to exist in her chibi form. The chibi one being the one based on ONE's original drawings. King is the only hero to have seen them, apparently. For all intents and purposes, she's going commando any time she isn't drawn in high detail.
She's kind of a weirdo.
9:00 I really love this fight, but I love this part of this fight the most. Remember the first episode when this same music was playing? It was when, in Saitama's dream, he had finally reached a fight that he felt challenged in. He was having the time of his life with a REAL and GENUINE fight. The music, the entire scene, is drawing a parrallel between Saitama's *dream* and Boros' *reality.* The heartbeat is even the same, showing that for the first time in YEARS, they feel alive.
It's also why this scene is so tragic, because you can tell after the big clash that Saitama realizes it. He wanted to give Boros the fight of his life, but Boros realized in the end that not only is Saitama cursed to live the life he had, but that his last battle wasn't even against an opponent going all out.
Boros died fighting against an opponent he couldn't hope to defeat.
Saitama won against an opponent he couldn't dream of ever being a threat.
And neither of them left the fight satisfied.
The way your voice trailed off as you said "It's Saitama, he's fiiiine....?" and then seeing he's on the moon. Absolutely priceless.

Geno's only purpose is to lose a fight in the most coolest way possible.
The only reason he loses is because he fights with S-Rank level threats, and genos is no way a S-Class hero because the reason he got into s-rank was saitama's feat(defeating house of evolution), So its not that genos is weak, its just that his opponents are very strong.
@@fact_street Genos is definitely S-Rank. He got there because of his scores and because of his mountain busting at the House of Evolution. He's just unlucky.

@@fact_street Amai Mask is towards the middle of Class S. Genos fits in with Tank Top Master and Puri Puri Prisoner at least. He's actually probably above them. He's capable of taking down the average demon level monster by himself. That puts him in S-Class.
There's 2 sad bits for me with boros in the end:
1, when boros says saitama at the end as he's walking away it was in sympathy due to them both wanting a good fight but only boros got it.
2, boros had already searched most the universe at this point looking for a challenge and never found it, which means for saitama any hope of something 'out there' being a challenge is very very minimal.

I always keep thinking that the prediction that was given to Boros was right, but that the guy who was a match for Boros wasn't Saitama, it was Blast.

If I recall correctly, in one version, Boros even mentions in that moment how hard it must be for Saitama for that exact reason you mentioned. but I think the lack of dialogue in this version really makes it hit better. a true example of "show don't tell"

Saitama didn't just want a fight, he was also giving Boros the fight he had always wanted. And as Boros is using his final move, you hear the heartbeat effect that comes from Saitama during his dream sequence that showed Saitama was finally getting a real fight.
Yeah, the Boros heart beating at 9:38 is the same that Saitama in the first episode (In his dream).
It's Boros whose heart was beating in the finale, not Saitama's. Saitama was basically unfazed and just wanted to give Boros the fight he was so desperately looking for.

Saitama didn't have fun in the fight. He wasn't ever the slightest bit hurt or tired. He let himself get hit and occasionally hit back so Boros would get to experience the thing both he and Saitama wanted; a true fight. That's why he lied and said the battle was hard fought, why he turned away when he said it. Saitama realised then that he'd likely _never_ get a fight like he wanted because Boros, someone who travelled light years for TWO DECADES, and destroyed multiple planets in his journey, couldn't even scratch him.
Yeah, it's amazing too that Boros could still notice that Saitama was lying
I almost cried when I first heard Boros say "you're just too strong, Saitama." I don't really know why. That part just really gets me bruh

boros felt bad for him, he knows there is almost nobody out there that could grant that wish since He went through most of the universe.

saitama actually can 1 shot boros if he wants but boros said that he want the thrilling of the battle and he actively searched for it, so saitama realized that he's the same with him and gave him the chance to getting the thrill from the battle.

Ηe could if he used Serious Punch but with Normal punches he could not,as it seems,he landed several normal punches and even a Concequive Barrage that tore him apart but Boros did Regenerate.
I mean it's still more fun for him to have opponents that can at least survive normal punches. He's sad after Boros is gone, because all the other monsters still take one punch even when he's holding back and giving just normal punches.
@@Realmasterorder you do realize that saitama has shown several different strenght levels when using his normal punch right? he could most likely finish boros with a normal punch and chose to instead wait until longer into the fight to help alleviate boros of his boredom that saitama has also gone through
@@ailospjellok7475 Yes of course he shown different levels because he is holding back most of the time,that does not mean he did with Boros and that his normal punches were weak they would still destroy most of any other opponents.Also he turned serious a few times in the fight as you could see from his expression and pose,he even said Boros was strong and stronger than any other opponent he had fought so that is another confirmation through his own lips.
Well yea, it’s kind of messed up that some of the S-Class heroes are leaving, it’s important to remember that these few S-Class heroes watch over multiple cities A through Z that are all constantly suffering from monster attacks. It makes sense that the heroes who aren’t immediately busy with helping decide they should go and look for some work they can actually do.
Yeah, if all they'd be doing is spectating anyway, they might as well go back on standby because people often forget that the biggest problem on the table isn't the *only* problem on the table. It's much more pragmatic that the S-Class heroes actively engaging the enemy keep at it, some are in the wings to step in situationally when something comes up that's within their sphere of capability, but the rest go handle other issues. That isn't _laziness_ or _uncarring;_ that's efficiency and triage. It's like, if there's a big fire, you may send all available fire units to it, but once it's under control and just a matter of time to get it put out, you start deciding which ones should stay and which ones should go. Because no one wants their house to burn down because *every* fire unit I'm the city was standing around watching the tail-end of a major blaze being perfectly well managed by 10% of them.
@@omargoodman2999 The only person this really doesn't apply to is Metal Knight, who didn't even try to send in a few remote units to provide suppressive assault, he just wanted to salvage the ship in a way that wouldn't cost him any repairs.
I wouldn't say that Amai Mask can be blamed for that specifically either since he's not that fast, but he's still a major dick who cares a lot more about the publicity of heroes than he should. And also obviously Blast has way better things to do.
@@Vexizz Right. MK _deliberately_ held back *just* so he could arrive "fashionably late" and avoid any potential hazard to his equipment and safely salvage the ship. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if the Hero Association specifically *asked* that he hold off until the situation was dealt with because they were _also_ interested in access to the technology. Though, counterpoint, he was one of only two S-Rank Heroes _not_ at HQ when the attack happened. And since, of course, we know for spoiler reasons Blast had more important things to do with his time, MK was the only S-Hero who really *could* be on true "standby" in a non-active zone.
So it "kinda sorta" makes sense for him to wait for the situation to be resolved... but at the same time he 150% exploited that totally reasonable situation for his own personal goals. But, at the very least, he wasn't round-about about it. He wasn't wishy-washy; he *totally* owned the self-centered motives when confronted. And, likewise, Amai Mask made it there in accordance with his own abilities when he heard about what happened, and he _almost_ had a valid point about how the S-Rankers were already on-site before it even happened and couldn't even prevent it and even struggled so much to put an end to it. But he made those judgements with absolutely no context for the power they were up against or the surprise nature of the attack. We know that Hero HQ has sensors that can detect *meteors* inbound and any delayed response is deliberate on their part. So either the ship warped in directly over the city with no chance to be detected; or again, the Hero Assoc. in its "infinite wisdom" decided they wanted that tech and that a bunch of S-Rank heroes would be more than capable of bringing it down. So they "left the door open" so to speak and didn't realize that this "burglar" they wanted to counter-rob was actually a bear on steroids and coke with a fusion cannon for a face. Mask just arbitrarily declared, "If *I* had been here, I'd have wiped the floor with them with grace and panache and saved the city before the first shot was even fired," when, in actuality, he wouldn't even have been gum on Boros's boot. He basically holds everyone to an impossibly high standard that he, himself, can't even reach.
Our only hope for the future lies in the hands of the greatest Hero of them all...

1:40 I wouldn't say he was disparaging her for being a little girl. It was more along the lines of "Yeah, she's crazy strong, but as a fellow S-Rank hero, I shouldn't just be sitting around letting her do everything. I should also do what I can!" Really, Tatsumaki is the one who constantly disparages everyone else (except Blast), not just acting like they're all useless, but actively saying it TO THEIR FACES. :P
Yeah...I don't get the love for Tatsumaki. She's very deliberately written as quite the nasty person, outwardly rude, condescending, and uncaring towards others, and controlling, domineering, and discouraging to her sister. And I call bullshit on the "she's just trying to protect her!" excuse. You don't protect someone by constantly crushing their spirit.
She does get some character growth, and it's not like it's a bad thing for a story to have unpleasant people as characters--far from it, they make the world seem more real--but there's really not a lot to like about her as a person.

The heartbeat at 9:40 mirrors Saitama in the dream fight against the subterraneans to show that Boros is feeling it.
So, in the manga, it was established that the class S was initially established to include anyone who could solo a Demon-level threat. This was before Amai Mask secured A rank 1. So if someone is capable of taking down the Sea King or stronger, they're automatically eligible for S-class status, because that's how powerful monsters are.
And Drive Knight solos a Dragon-level monster at one point. No spoilers. But the fight is amazing. He is ridiculously strong. Unfortunately, it'll probably be season 4 or 5 that we see him in action.
Note: Obviously, Puri Puri Prisoner got merked by the Sea King, but he's leagues above any A-class hero, so he still has a respectable rank. The guy's actually insanely strong; Sea King was just stronger.
Just a note, Genos won the fight against the Armored Gorilla from the House of Evolution. Which is a Demon level threat.
But if you think about it, Genos is a cool visual way to show how strong Saitama is. That's why he fights the monsters first, loses and Saitama saves the day. At least in the first episodes that we see them together. Saitama is so incredibly strong that without someone else super-strong fighting the same monsters, we wouldn't understand the power levels.
I know Boros was the bad guy, but I felt sorry for him at the end. I really wished he didn't die, he became one of my favorite characters in OPM.
Fun fact, Boros was the main villain of one of One's first stories. He was too overpowered though so he shelved it. After 10 years, Boros got the fight he wanted.

That episode was Actually pretty deep and shows how awesome saitama is. In the first episode Saitama said how much he misses a proper fight, the feeling of battle, heart pumping, etc. In the last episode he met someone who traveled through the universe to fight him, looking for the same excitement as saitama did in the first episode. And because saitama is such a great guy he gave boros the fight he wished while knowing he will not feel the same.. It's like giving someone something you can't have because you're a good person and want the other person to feel good.
Saitama is what you would call a true hero, in many sidechapters you can see this too, like in one where the police force gets ridiculed and laughed at because they cant defeat monsters like the heroes, because they are normal people
and even though they are assholes to saitama, he pretends to be a police officer to make the people cheer for them instead of ridiculing them

Tatsumaki has a younger sister who has lets say VERY mature womanly physique. And she is opposite in many ways to Tatsumaki. So its like she is overcompensating with sexuality herself. And after many years recent manga chapter confirmed she indeed wears underwear. Btw it took her to fight Saitama to actually slip it and reveal her panties :D I am convinced she uses her powers to hide it constantly with her dress.

We don't know if he'd would have different thoughts if that was Child Emperor doing that stuff instead of Tatsumaki, so stop with your bias. I was surprised myself that they didn't understand the basic interpretation of Tanktop master's dialogue.
All he said was that it's his responsibility as an S class hero to fight and not give up, regardless of how strong Tatsumaki is. As an older hero, it was his job to take care of people sounding him, and as a man, he needed to understand his role just like Tatsumaki understood her role ( even though she's narcissistic).

Saitama actually let Boros hit him many time to make Boros feel happy again in his life but Boros feel sad for Saitama because no creature can match against Saitama
I found your channel yesterday I subbed and I've watched all the OPM reactions in a day. I can't wait to see your reactions to season 2 and season 3 when it comes out !(manga hype) and other animes. I also recommend watching one piece it may take a long time but it's peak you won't regret it
Spoiler....I will spoil something for ya'll because you wont see it even in season 2....the hero cocky guy that you both dislike? ....spoiler......he eventually understands how strong Saitama is and views him with more respect than any other hero. He views Saitama as the ideal hero. Also.....hes secretly a monster that has the ability to make himself look human. He doesnt have bad intentions though.

I can understand being fustrated saitama never gets the recognition he deserves but i think thats also the point. A hero doesnt do it for recognition, and in the RL many "heroes" never get the recognition they deserve. Too many infact, from infrastructure feats like restoring water to an entire citie to changing a childs life in the classroom. Its the eptiome of being a good person and to those of you who are doing what you can to benefit society, keep going even when it feels like the world has no respect for you.
That's exactly Saitama. But some people don't understand that Saitama is the role model of an ideal hero in this series. The fact that Saitama himself never think that he is a proper hero just make it even more admirable.

You like food anime? Another suggestion; Restaurant to Another World ( Isekai Shokudō). It has food, world and character building going on.
The anime tries to make saitama look like an invisible man who cant take damage but in the manga when hes on the moon the cover says saitama took damage and saitama says *this is almost a real fight*

If you plan on watching S2 please watch the blu ray version. The streaming services have blurred some scenes aka ghosting on purpose which makes it look worse. Idk why they did it

What Boros meant was not that Saitama "was too strong" but "is too strong" knowing that Saitama will never find anyone in his universe able to give him a proper fight.
I was a bit confuse too, turns out just gramatical mistake.
Which is wrong of course considering ----- matched him. But because of saitamas rapid ability to grow stronger you'd have to start at a higher level to win against him not just on a relative level.

Saitama wasn’t holding back for himself. He knew he was leagues more powerful. He wanted Boros to feel what it’s like for someone not to die in one punch and let him have the adrenaline because he relates to him.
Would love to see you two react to season 2, although a lot of people complain saying "oh it;s bad, the quality is crap" It's really not, It's still amazing. The only reason they say that is yes, It's true the quality does drop off a bit, It's only because our standards were so high thanks to the bar that season 1 rose. Garou best character!

7:56 What tattoo is that? Atlas? Genos is actually really strong. He just hangs around with Saitama, so he looks bad by comparison. You should also watch the OVA's before Season 2. Otherwise, you'll be spoiled on some things.
Some fun bits:
1. Gororibas (the mouths for hands dude) that Saitama off-handedly one-shot on his way through the ship was stronger than Melzalgard, who took 3 S-rankers to take down.
2. Boros' Meteoric Burst mode was the strongest move (other than suicidal moves like his final attack, or Satiama's punches) we've seen in the series so far. It was enough to take out every single S-ranker present.

I will answer some questions without spoilers. (I am all caught up on the manga)
Whether or Not Tornado is wearing underwear - it is a long running question that DID eventually get answered in the manga so if the anime ever continues. The answer is told.
Geno losing all the time - he made it into S rank because of the flawed testing system. He is both smart & strong enough to be S rank. All the fights Genos loses are never because he's weaker but always because of personal issues or outside interfaces. (Side note. The author stated that had there been no civilians around. Genos would have 100% beaten the Seaking.)
Season 2 feels like just set up for season 3 which is why people didn't like it as much but knowing season 3 is finally in production. It's good to know people will get the 2nd half of an amazing arc that for whatever reason, Season 2 split in half.
Saitama's lack of recognition - unfortunately it will be a long time before he gets what he deserves. Mainly because if he did they'd have to make a new rank and put just him in it. Lol eventually other heroes do realize he is far stronger than his rank makes him seem but it's mostly kept a secret. The reason why? You'll have to watch to find out 😂❤

This episode reminds me of the debate of whether Blast the #1 hero wins against Boros, and I can't wait for his fight against a certain someone to be animated, that fight clearly shows that he is a level higher than Boros and would sweep Boros no question

Do you know how far away the Moon is from Earth? It's 238,855 miles away from Earth and it varies sometimes, the distance between Earth and the Moon is 30 Earths and Saitama jumped from the Moon back to Earth in just 1.5 seconds, light travel from the Moon to Earth in 1.3 seconds, so basically Saitama moved at the speed of light. Also Saitama's serious punch was more like "Lil bro" punch when you think about it.

There are two things we dont know about this situation.
1) Has they ever made exceptions for anyone else?
I would find it counter intuitive to place someone with a perfect score lower than S.
2) Has anyone else ever gotten a perfect score?
Look at the S ranks.
Tornado is probably not dumb but is she smart enough for a perfect score?
I am 100% certain she didnt get a full score on the physical.
King did not score 100% on the written test.
Child emperor probably aced the written but not the physical.
Atomic Samurai, Tank Top Master, Metal Bat and PuriPuri Prisoner are all muscle heads, none of them aced the written test.
Pig God didnt ace either lf the tests, he is probably immensly strong but he is DEFINITELY not fast
The ones left are Zombie Man, Drive Knight, Metal Knight, BlackLuster and Blast
The only two I think is reasonable to assume might have scored a perfect score are Drive Knight on the same basis as Genos, he is basically a robot.
And Silver Fang, he is CLEARLY strong AF and he is probably one of the smartest guy in this show
Physical power is a nonfactor for him as he can just "upgrade" and he seems to be rather intelligent.
Blast is kind of a wild card in this debate cuz he IS the no1 hero and they have chosen to not show him or give ANY intel on him at all so Im quite sure he is ALOT stronger than even Tornado but as we dont know what his powers are its hard speculate in his scores.
He might be an ESPer too, meaning that *physically* he could be weaker than Mumen Rider while still settbeing the strongest hero.
There is absolutely a chance that no one else ever got perfect score.
100% guarantee most S ranks didnt.

Canonically, yes, as it has been confirmed this year in the Manga. But at the time that Season one was being made, it was still unclear... I'm inclined to think that the animators drew her without underwear (as some clips can hint at). When in doubt, go for fanservice!
She is an adult and the manga recently confirmed she does in fact wear a thong that was partially shown during her fight with Saitama like 15 chapters back I believe

In the manga during a battle King discovers that she wears normal looking white underwear... at least the 14:45 version of her does.
So, season 2 is actually a better story in my opinion, but the direction and animation will fall off a cliff.
