  • Glashutte Original has appeared on Hidden Gems before, and for good reason we're back to show you another stunning example from the German Manufacturer. The Panoreserve is often spoken of in the same breath as the Lange 1, and rightfully so. But the watch should not be overlooked just because it is not from the other esteemed German brand.

    WOW! I had no idea how well GEO watches are made! Why does the watch part of the dial use only a tiny bit of the dial surface versus Swiss watches that use the entire dual to present the time? I can speculate, but I thought you might know the real reason.

    The video missed one point. A (white) gold GO used is 50% off and a SS Rolex is 1x-3x list (still). Besides the brand and the watches being the actual hidden gem, the used prices (outside the SeaQ) are almost criminal. Hodinkee should do a LE with GO and get the name out there more. Just saying (my idea so pre-reserving one)... One last comment, I would say German watchmaking writ large is a hidden gem (Moon-Swatch gets more press in a week than GO gets in a year)!

  • @WH-hi5ew
    @WH-hi5ew 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Great watch... would be even better if (a) they produced a 38mm version, it is a dress watch after all. (b) They slimmed it down a bit... its pretty chunky as it is. (c) There are 5-6 different fonts on the dial... this should again be reduced down to 2-3.

Similar price range. The Senator Excellence Perpetual Calendar is a bit over my budget.

    • @Mark_Hackman

      I would say not everything boils down to power reserve, but they are both fantastic watches. I own a PanoMatic Lunar myself, but the Senator is a really underappreciated watch.
