Nice play off. Thanks. Imagine using the Blackstar with double 3watt amps. I got my Special Edition Blackstar Fly 3 double amp combo with all the same features plus EQ for sweeping between an American rock sound on one end and a British rock on the other, blending in the middle. I got the whole 6 watt package from Amazon for $99.00. BTW Amazon had the widest variety of Blackstar Amps I could find. More models and colors than the Blackstar company itself. Including the British flag.

In the micro amp category it's hard to beat Blackstar for features and price. The clean channel is very good compared to other micro amps. Someone suggested a video with the Marshall MS-2. vs Blackstar. Rock on!

Hey im about to get one of these as my first amp. Which one would you say is versatile over the other and which one would be better for playing blues? Both sounds amazing. Thanks in advance

If you are a blues guy go with Blackstar. The clean channel is very good and the high gain channel can get some very solid overdrive tones for Stevie Ray type licks. The delay effect is fun too. For the price it's hard to beat. The Orange is a good amp, but at this size and price Blackstar gives you a solid range of tones. Rock on!

I have both. I'm taking of plugging my Orange through the speaker out to my black star . Would that not be a good idea? (tone wise) I have the most awesome loving room setup.

@@santosmadrigal3702. Just saying, but if I had them both, I’d be curious about running an A/B scenario with Blackstar on one and Orange on the other. Even better doing an A/B/C with a clean channel thru a mixer and testing various level combinations.

@@wasteddude9387 I did it . I thought I was going to get a sweet tone . But I think I'm going for the A/B box . P.S. I have the coolest living room set up . The speaker of the Orange just cancelled out . I'm guessing so it doesn't overload .

@santosmadrigal3702 wow, very cool. Bummer about the orange tho. Did you get a chance to play thru before the snap?

Which one would you recommend for someone who is just starting out playing the electric guitar?

The Blackstar. It has a clean channel, distortion and delay and it sounds great! The Orange has a better distortion sound, but for the price the Blackstar has more features.

Great video! orange also sounds good, are you using the cabinet of it? or just the amp? I agree to go with the blackstar since they almost have the same price, however, in my country, orange is like $60, and blackstar is around $120. I would like the blackstar but it's much more expensive. :( but the orange sounds good

Thanks for watching! The Orange is not going through the cabinet in this video. The Blackstar has two channels, Delay and a better clean sound. Maybe a used Blackstar instead of new might work for you. The Orange has great distortion.

@@desertrockunited Good idea! will look for used ones, anyway, I'm planning to use it for practice solo's and licks, which probably use a lot of distortion, if that will be the case, will you suggest the orange? or should I still go with the blackstar?

    • @desertrockunited

Since the Orange is cheaper and you will use for distortion and solos it would be great. It has a heavier, crunchy sound. Keep on rockin!
