Pleasing to see a review on the BT capable rechargable internal battery Charge version. Don't worry I went to check in case Blackstar had amended the function on the Charge version -they hadn't. As illustrated here, meviewers really need to reread the manual several times in between spending considerably more time first hand familiarising themselves with products prior to presenting. Fly 3 reviews about. We all know it's a fantastic amp in a tiny physical package at a killer price. If you buy the ext cab then purchase a UK male/female telephone cable and you can extend the range between the amp and cab for a 'stereo' sound effect. I have this set up and the sound is fantastic.
Liked the review man. Ordered and looking forward to getting to use it camping, travelling etc. I really like that it could double as a portable BT speaker for music also.
@@MilesDoesMusicafter 2 months of use I can honestly say this is one of my favorite music purchases ever. Let's me play my electric guitar anywhere with good tone and functions very well as a Bluetooth speaker.
Just got one, thanks for the tips, my player strat gave me fits till i learned how to adjust the amp. I was about to return it. It does have some decent sounds. Subscribed. Great video.
Yeah, I have the special edition double amp combo version which has the same controls. I think these things sound much better than the positive grid spark go which gets a lot of air time in TH-cam. No doubt you’ve done the best job of demoing all of its capabilities. But then you play really well. Thanks for giving it a great voice in the demo scene. Great video.
Excellent. I have the mki with the extra cab and I use it every day at home (block of flats 5th floor). This thing 3 plus 3 watts stereo kills even my hifi. I tried to listen to music as well! Perfect!!
Wow! Nice playing! I just picked up an older Blackstar mini at a pawn shop. One of the best things about searching out reviews of gear is finding great new channels as well. I’m now your newest subscriber, for the moment. Keep up the good work!
Well well well, in case you haven't noticed, not all the versions have the Bluetooth option and the rechargable battery, I'm checking (26-Jan-2025) what is on Amazon US and Amazon Mexico and they don't have the bluetooth one so, it seems that UK editions are different. I have found Bluetooth editions through eBay but the price goes to the roof. I would like a full edition because now feels not so convenient for the price. Great video, nice RATM section, cheers!
Really appreciate your time and examples of this version. I have the FLY 3 (no Charge). I wish you could show us the exact setting for each sound you are generating out of this amp. Thank you!
I bought the two speaker stereo version of these, I'd like to also use them as PC speakers but I'm not sure what I need to add to do that, 3.5 jack to usb cable maybe?

Great review! Can anyone tell me how long the internal battery in these amps takes to charge from a laptop USB? I mean from red LED flashing (power low) to red LED off (fully charged)...
I'm curious if the USB connection can be used to charge other devices. For instance, i have an Arturia Microfreak synth that can be powered by USB. If I could power it off of this, then it would be completely portable.

There should be a switch labeled “OD” on the control panel and that changes over from the clean to overdrive channel. Also make sure your volume on your guitar is up all the way, then use the ISF knob to sculpt your overall tone.

Thank you, and I agree, I should have had a secondary camera set up to show what I was doing. I could do a video on “Hendrix chords” if that’s something you’d be into!
@@MilesDoesMusicI reckon a couple of lessons on how Hendrix used chords would be very popular.
