    Thank you this was most descriptive tutorial and hence the most helpful. You addressed all questions I had which the previous three videos I watched did not. Cheers!

    *Great **Latest.Bike** , good looking, good suspension and love the gearing. I've tested some bikes that were more then twice the price but not as good. Get lots of looks when riding.*

    This was great! Thank you so much. I bought the shoes for both me and my wife. She got home and saw that I had fixed the cleats to the shoes and thought I was a superman. Honestly, I couldn't have done it without watching your video. Thanks! PS. I know others reading this will wonder if I told her about the video: Nope. :)

    ... a lil' additional trick ... after mounting the cleats, but before you reinstall the foot-bed ... on the inside of the shoe cover the "slots w/ tape (I used electrical tape) ... Why??? If you walk in wet grass or step in a puddle the bottom of your feet get wet!!! ... as water comes up through the slots on the bottom of the slots ...

    Good video! I'm a newbie to road biking. I tried the single release cleats, but could not get on with them. Have ordered the Shimano sh56 multi-release cleats, hoping they will work out for me.

      David, there is no need to go to multi-release cleats for newbie as secure clipping while driving is much more important than when you fall because you have stopped and could not unclip on time. You should just better exercise release.

    What type of grease did you use?

    It went together easily in less than an hour. th-cam.com/users/postUgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L Make sure the front fork is forward or the pedals will hit the front tire. Tires are both a little soft so it needs air before I ride it. The rear wheel didn't come with a clamp regular bolts hold it on. The front had the clamp. No scratches out of box. Rims are a little off with a slight wobble. They could have spent more time with the spoke tool fixing the run out. So far out of the box I'm happy with it. I did replace the pedals with a nice aftermarket set. After riding it a bit my A$$ is a bit sore so I ordered another seat. Overall I'm nearly 60 and didn't ride a bike in 30 years. I like my new 29" Schwinn. It will be used for casual rides with my friend.

    hows ur legs doin'?
    have u changed to cleat position?
    because the right and left one shld be a slightly different, base on pedal to frame measurement, in my cse, my right pedal is frther 5mm from the frame compared the left pedal, so i convert the measurement to cleat position

    • @LoyolaMan
      @LoyolaMan 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      As soon as you see in video unknown brand bike or equipment it should tell you that author is a newbie as newbies tend to buy crap. So you question of cleat position is like cosmology for him

      A M I'm used to mountain bikes so want to see if I'd like the road bike posture pointless spending big money if I didn't like it

    Why grease the bolts?

    • @stevehall8227
      @stevehall8227 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      so they don’t get seized in from any moisture that may get around the threads.

    • @markturner-smith5309
      @markturner-smith5309 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Trust me used SPD's since 1992 - the bolts will ALWAYS seize in unless greased (copper grease best as resistance to wash out/etc better).

    • @jhmsmarttv795
      @jhmsmarttv795 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Mark Turner-smith Thats interesting. I have also been using SPD cleat since the 90-ies and I have never had them seize on me. I have used them for both my road bike and my mountainbike and never seen this problem.
