That's awesome dude, I've been wanting to make one in my schools woodshop for awhile now. Finally gonna do it. So far this year I've made a recurve bow, a slingshot, and a fleshing beam for deer hides!
Good job, man. I've been wanting to build my own gun cabinet, and was going to do a similar design. Good to see another person's take on the design and construction process. I'm planning on using dados for the tops and bottoms of the cabinet, and construct the face frame as one piece, gluing and brad-nailing it in place.
First off I’d like to thank you for doing this build, I had somebody commissioned me to build one I have never built one before do not know how to price it I know you tubers don’t like to give prices but he’s wanting some similar build could you give me a price list for material and then what the final cost would be that would give me a rough idea before I try to price everything out I really enjoyed how you built this I hope you can help me out thanks God bless Clay
Thanks! it's just preference really. I feel like it is easier if you are right handed to unlock and the door with your right hand while holding the gun in your left hand and swing the door away from the gun in your left hand.
Thanks! I was able to find them at Lowe’s. This was made for a cabinet so you should be able to find these anywhere that sells cabinet hardware. www.lowes.com/pd/Gatehouse-1-1-8-in-Stainless-Steel-Die-Cast-Drawer-and-Cabinet-Lock/3407876
I got the glass at Lowes. Most of them have a glass cutting station so you can have them cut it to size. I had to get the glass in two pieces because they don't have glass sheets long enough.
awesome, i like the way it has space to double the amount of guns, thats important
100% agree 👍🏻

Nice build I’m sure my Grandpop will love it !
Turned out nice...I like the video, gave me some ideas for a future build! I like the felt inlay, might use that in a couple ways.

That sounds great! Good luck on your projects! :)
Some news paper and painters tape will protect the glass during the sanding/ finishing process.
Thanks for the tip!
Looks great man. Great build.
Thanks!

Thanks!
@@SimonSaysDIY what are the dimensions of your gun cabinet, I really like the design.
fantastic build! Why are the hinges on the right though?

Just curious did they want the door to open from the left ?
Very nice.... where did you find the locking mechanism???????
Thanks!

@@SimonSaysDIY Nice... appreciate it. Thx!
do you have the blue prints of it in trying to make one for a high school project
Nice build. Where did you get the glass from?

@@SimonSaysDIY do you remember what it thickness and cost? Was it polycarbonate? Thanks.
How much did the materials cost?
around $500-600.
how far apart did you space the guns?
I believe I had it 6in from the center of the barrels
Thanks
Happen to have a set of plans?
👍
Thanks! :)
Where are you located?
Southeast United States.
Do u sell any buddy
I would but shipping the finished cabinet is a pain to deal with if it's not local.
Can you make me a gun cabinet? I have the know how to do it but I don’t have the tools which makes it a little bit harder
I would be interested in helping you with that. But shipping such a large piece would be difficult. I would only be able to do local deliveries.
@@SimonSaysDIY yeah i don’t think I’m very local🤷♂️ and I bet it’s harder because of whatever gun laws there might be in your state and mine
@@SimonSaysDIY and I bet it’s decently expensive too?
