      @@johnfarnsworth3678Could you please explain more? Which minute and second did you see that is wrong? And how it should be?

    • @johnfarnsworth3678

      @@hasancanbalay inside the timing case you will see the large gear, remove the nut and held in place by it you will see the cam which the injector pump pushes against when the case is in place and the injector pump is fitted. there should be an "O" stamped on one side of the cam. this should be facing towards the nut. If is on the wrong way round it will inject the fuel after top dead centre (after the highest compression / point of combustion) if you don't see the "O", pull off the shaft flip it round and place back on the shaft. now re-fit the nut and re-fir the timing case. refit the fuel system bleed and hopefully enjoy the sound of your working engine. good luck.

    I was digging the same and learned those weights on the fly wheel of governor increase the fuel when engine is under load, the load slows rpm’s , the springs pull the weights in and the fuel supply is increased to the injector via the helical groove in the high pressure injector pump, the piston in the pump is rotated depending on throttle you give or the load on engine, ( I know very little and have learned just by trying I could be wrong )

      I didn't get that deep when i stripped the 1gm down, i went for the everything is moving freely and nothing looks damaged🤣 however having just rebuilt a DV24 i am now very in tune with centrifugal weights and the way they operate, so i truelly understand the process...nope but i got her running!😁

    The plot thickens! I wonder if the forks had disengaged as you suggest. How that would happen in normal use is beyond me but... Just glad that it’s working again cos you sounded drained. Very nice and clean inside too.

      Thanks Robin, yes i didn't really'fix' anything. Must have just been something jammed or stuck.
      Yeah but overdoing it a bit doing a full day of physical labour then working after work and doing boats etc. Not good at having time off or resting!😬😬

    When you have replaced the gasket - have you applied a gasket sealant to prevent oil leaks?

    • @SailingFoxyLady
      @SailingFoxyLady  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi mate, i think i did more to keep the gasket in place. Generally if a gasket is one piece i don't use sealant. I'll only use of its an open gasket for cam shafts etc

      Morning, i never really did understand the how i fixed it, in reasembly of the front cover she fired up. No idea if something was wrong with the governor fly out or something stuck. But luckily for me, a strip and rebuild seemed to remedy it🙏
