To my best knowledge they were brought by the Ottomans in that region in the 19th Century.

Our origin is kavkaz after Tsar Russia decided to invade our lands, Russo-circassian war started and it went on to 110 years it ended in a massive deportation of circassians and a huge massacar of 1.5 million circassians 1864 was the end of it all of course some gurellia attacks/tactics kept on going until 1867.
Circassians scattered around the middle east with the help of the ottoman empire, they had high military rank, some settled in Golan in Syria some went further to Amman before it was jordan and made a huge circassian village and protected king abdullah 1st, others as the documentary mentioned settled in villages far-away from Jerusalem.
Some mamluk leaders were circassians also.
Salah al din also used circassian swords that are now in some museums, and used circassian warriors to teach his army some tactics.

I’m Circassian, the heritage center you see in the video is my great grandparents home. Please, it’s *PALESTINE. Not Israel. We were placed in Palestine (and in other parts of the area, now Jordan, Syria…). Palestine became our home after going through our own genocide and exile. Israel is a brutal occupier, genocider, terr0rist state. As someone whose own people went through a genocide and the same things Palestinians have been going through, it’s blasphemous to call it Israel. Sadly there have been traitors that have been created after 1948 within all the groups - including Circassians, Druze, Bedouin Arabs, other Arabs etc. The people that came to the land in the early 1900s brainwashed by evil forces (all to become “Israel” later), they created a mess in the land and among the people. But there are those of us that are aware, awake. We call it Palestine. Just as it would hurt to call Adyghea, Kafkas “Russia” it should hurt to call it “Israel” when Israel has been doing the same atrocities in our other home Palestine to the Palestinians just as was done to us. But people of all groups have been brainwashed and incentivized and they don’t know what’s what anymore. It’s Palestine. The heritage center you see in the video, it was my great grandfather’s home, Saeed Al Shami. In 1948 Israeli forces stole properties that he owned in the Tabariyah (Tiberias) area. They stole from a Circassian man. As long as you were not Jewish, you were affected by 1948, no matter who you were. My mom’s uncle got stuck in Egypt and couldn’t go back home because of Israel. Because he wasn’t Jewish. Prior to 1948, we lived harmoniously with everybody else in the land. We respected the land and the people there. Palestine has always had more diversity to it more than people think/know. Even the Arab Palestinian portion of the population has its own mixings that happened throughout time. Empires passing through, trade routes… Mixing happened. And there existed a Jewish population in Palestine before the early 1900s, and they were happily living there before 1948. We all lived perfectly fine together prior to 1948 and Palestine was a prosperous place, contrary to what the evil powers will convince you of (that there was nothing there prior to 1948, that they made everything flourish etc.. Nonsense). Long live Palestine. Long live Circassians. Bless all peoples around the world that went through torture and genocide. May truth, justice, and love prevail.

I live there in Israel or Palestine as you refer. Calling traitors to your brothers that live there is wrong. Your first priority should be your homeland, not palstine, but it seems you don't care about your own people as much. I didn't choose to live here but the facts are this: I am a Muslim that lives in a Jewish country ( you can deny it as much as you want, same about our homeland it is under Russia unfortunately I can't call it circassia) also I was raised to be respectful towards the people that live nearby. We live in peace with the Arabs and the Jewish. I am a circassian. I have my own problems to take care of. If they want to keep killing each other because of their hatred, I am not gonna interfere. I will only care about the children and the innocent ones being involved because I was raised as a circassian. I am not gonna take sides because both sides kills children. I am not brainwashed. I go according to the rules of Islam, which none of them follow. I will take care of who I can it is not your place to judge your own people.

    • @noname-rz8pw

There are videos of Palestinians raping and killing and burning families to death, but I also found videos of Israeli soldiers booming buildings with kids. That's why I don't want to take a side. I will help anyone in need, Jewish or Arab. But in the current state, I live here, so I must be respectful to the rules. Because they treat us equally here. I don't think that you will be able to see from my point of view ever. So please, it is not your place to judge. The important thing is that we keep doing everything for our homeland in order to go back there instead of spreading hatred towards our brothers.
