    Question: What is the temperature of the nozzle when the plastic is passed through it during the period of conversion to filament?.

    Hi, not only the flow, is more improvements, as you say "the filament is hollow" and most of the time the problem starts on the extruder, when I start using this material (about 3 years ago) my big problem was the extruder stop feeding, that make to abort most of the prints, how I solved this problem, take out the brass gear from the extruder, get a triangle needle file, gentle file all the gear grooves one by one, that eliminate a chance to stop feeding, I print at 260.c slow one degree at the time until 255/6,
    That is my experience with PETG / bottles, I have really nice prints, any color that i want. Greeting for all from South Africa

      Hello, Yes you're right lot of slipping happens in extruder but what I found out is that it mainly happens when your filament is not properly rounded. I was facing that issue and I increased the strip size and tightened up the adjustable spring part of extruder

    Interesting, but since we pay ~ 50 cents for the bottle this would be pretty expensive PET for me. We get the 50 cents back when returning the bottle to the shop.

    Hi my friend, you made a good job. I have a question, I don't use the system to make my pet filament but i have a problem, the filament isn't rounded it makes an "U", any suggestion? And if there isn't any solution, can i print like this? With the "U" shape? Thanks

    • @Creative3DP
      @Creative3DP  ปีที่แล้ว

      The PET filament from the bottle is mostly hollow, if you increase the width of the PET strip a little bit, it will rounded

    Hi ,thanks for the info, however way not show the settings to print with this petg? THAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT PART,
    is not easy to print with this material, lot of settings on CURA, and the printer has to be ready to accept this material, just saying!!!!

    • @Creative3DP
      @Creative3DP  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you are right. You need to increase the flow rate in cura because PET Filament is hollow

  • @oneforall200
    @oneforall200 ปีที่แล้ว

    The 3d printer requires temperature of 260 degree Celsius , but that is not the problem.
    The problem is the filament of pet bottles doens't go properly into the extruder, we have to handpush it , any upgrades for that sir?, And nozzle chokes in between , any solution for that sir?

    • @Creative3DP
      @Creative3DP  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It all depends on the machine's nozzle. If you're able to extrude 1.75mm of PET filament or maybe less you shouldn't face any problem. If it is more than 1.75 mm then there is a chance of choking a nozzle or maybe filament getting Tube & and make sure filament is properly rounded so that it doesn't get bent in Extruder
