    You can swap the pins in the plug. Just gently pry the protection with a needle and the pin will come out of the plug cover.

      Soldering?....SOLDERING!?! WE DONT NEED NO STINKIN SOLDERING!
      This comment gets a trophy. 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆
      Sir you are absolutely right. (With a sewing needle) you can pry up the plastic piece (that clasps the metal connector within the cover), its like a plastic tongue that lays over the top of the pin, pry it up with needle, and pull with other hand.
      I bought a package 20 of these for 4.99 on amazon, and got a sewing needle, and got very good at this
      🤣.
      It is a good solution (if you dont feel like soldering, or dont have the equipment, or dont wanna splice....just do this).
      Be sure, once complete, to give a (gentle) tug to the wires to ensure they are properly seated.
      EDIT: The only way this will work is if you have a 24v fan that ships with the proper connections, and there is no need to switch to a different size whit epiece

      @@zac2877 so it will become loose yes? how can we tighten up it again? with pliers?

    • @zac2877

      @@BarPBarPkoyanee i pulled mine out without them becoming loose and was able to re-insert the wire into the hole without having to "tighten" altho, I would suggest maybe bending the metal part a little bit until it fits properly, I ordered a bunch of these little pieces and got good at it with practice, lol

      @@zac2877 just got a 5015 fan, the pin is too big for the board, can i swap the wire from the old one?

    Couldn't you just solder the black just to the red fan wire and the red just to the black fan wire and it be the same?

    You can just lift the plastic tabs depin the connector and insert the other way round

    Nicely done, can you share a link to the Fan & the connectors?

      It's a jst micro 2pin(1.25mm) connector and a 5015 blower fan from winnsin

    Great video, just bought 4 of these and didn't realize the wiring was different. Any value is replacing the other fan on the extruder

      @ctwinsrock ปีที่แล้ว

      I know some people replace it with a different fan to make it quieter, but I don't think there is any performance gains from doing that

    I've recently tried to upgrade my ender 3 s1 pro fan 2 duct. It reads 24.1volts when I have the fan hooked up backwards. when I have the polarity correct it reads 2.1 volts. I do not understand how to get this to work.

    Great video, BTW which material did you use to print the fan duct ?

      Don't know if you've found the answer, but that's very likely PETG.

    Fan is noisy. Does it has to be 100% all the time?

    this was a great video, but i was wondering why you didn't use a Zener Diode or is it necessary? I am so ignorant on the electronics side of things lol

    • @Zeltroix
      @Zeltroix  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't think it's necessary since the fan current is still 24v. But I'm not sure, I haven't had a problem.

      @@mikehancho8930 you need the zener diode if you replace the parts cooling fan because that is only a 12v fan

    Do you think it’s quieter than the stock fan?
