I first found your TH-cam handle from another video (where you install the Hauslane range hood). Then saw this one. Exactly the two things I'm dealing right now. Thank you!
Thank you. Very helpful. Mine was rusted on too. Used grinder too but also used a multi tool inside grinder cut to inner pipe. No wrenching needed to remove mounting.
Great, thorough video! I just bought this faucet tonight and will install it tomorrow. I’m sure I’ll be watching again just to make sure I don’t miss anything lol!
Thanks for the vid. I was able to get the nut loose with some seafoam deep creep and a Husky basin wrench from homdepot. You may want to link a basin wrench in your description for other weekend warriors.
My faucet is even worst, I bought all kind of plumbing wrench but no way.... thinking to cut the old one off like you, thanks for providing some more courage
There is another step in the installation which prevents leaking thru, loosening, and rusted under mount fasteners. It no longer appears in most brands instructions, but is still pertinent! Apply a layer of clear silicone caulk to the plastic ring or gasket where it attaches under the metal faucet body. And another layer between that and the countertop material. (Like buttering both sides of your bread). After tightening the undermount fasteners, wipe off the excess caulk. This small extra step prevents annoying call backs! If you ever need to replace the faucet, a minute or two with a razor blade will remove the caulk.
If I remember correctly, I used a long socket to remove the nut of the screw.. you might need an extension for the socket. Some people would use a faucet socket if they have it on hand… Also, your new replacement faucet might come a long with a faucet socket. Thanks and Good luck!
Hi thanks for the informative video. I’m thinking about purchasing this particular faucet. I’m curious how it’s holding up for you since you installed it? Do you like the different spray options it has?
Any one of these grinders will do. You can also find similar ones at either Lowes or Home Depot. Harbor Freight is another place where you can get them as well. Thanks! Yes, still loving it. Thanks!
Call the company depending on the brand of faucet for a free replacement. You'll need to provide them with the model of the faucet and pictures.
