My Moen faucet is now installed, and this video helped every step of the way. Very happy with it. The real work was getting the old faucet out, which was quite determined to stay put and leak and not run hot water. Glad it's out and the Moen is in.

you really are right. They're scammers. I recommend haggling with them about their fee though lol or tell them from the getgo how much you're willing to toss them.
We replaced our old separate faucet and sprayer with a Moen Pullout Kitchen Faucet and couldn't be happier. We repurposed the sprayer hole for an garbage disposal air switch. I would suggest reading all of the instructions and/or watching this entire video before you begin. After several frustrating minutes of trying to tighten the mounting nut by hand, my helper handed me the "installation tool" and said, "Here, maybe this will help." 🤪

Very helpful. This is my second Moen faucet and I must say they're well engineered and easy to install. Pro Tip: some older under sink valves might leak during installation. I recommend turning the water off to the whole house if you can, not just the water at the faucet.
This is a great plumbing video. Be careful about following the advice DIY plumbing videos. Many are not properly done and will cause you leaks. Well done Moen!
@@Bad_Samaritan Our previous Morn tap set like this eventually the handle gave out. Moen sent the replacement parts, which I put in myself. Worked for another year, and it similarly broke again. I'm hoping new tap sets are even better now, as they would be aware of any deficiencies in their product and redesign as needed I'm sure, so I will purchase their products again. We're on our second Moen kitchen tap set, and this one has worked flawlessly to date and has been in for well over a year now.
By far the fastest, easiest installation I've ever done. Having everything needed was a bonus. The last thing I wanted was a visit to the hardware store to pick up a hose, wrench, etc. Thank you!

This video helped tremendously. The install went smoothly. However the lever motion is from straight up to 90 degrees forward. All other sinks have been 45 degrees either way from vertical.
this video convinced me i could do it. bought Moen faucet put it in yesterday. last night all was well. today no hot water. husband was right should have left fixture alone. plumber bill to come. sucks
Installation was extremely easy. The faucet itself has a much better feel of quality than other name brands. We will be switching all faucets over to Moen

Nice tutorial. I wish at the end they showed the faucet in action. I spent 10 min trying to figure out why water wasn't coming out until I realized that you turn the water on by rotating the handle outward, 90 degrees, rather than rotating it toward or away from you. Should have been obvious, but the outward rotation isn't something I was used to with other faucets.
Surprisingly easy too install once you remove the old one, SO be sure to HOLD ON TO THE INSTALLATION TOOL and LABEL IT. Removing the old one was a bitch, because of rust, a deep sink and no space between the sink and the wall. I broke the installation tool and had to buy a deep socket 13/16 socket to add to a socket wrench and an extender. Then I had to resort to stinky (p.u.) Blaster penetrating spray after no luck with WD 40, but it worked in time for Christmas! Hallelujah!

I am replacing a circa 2004 (I'm assuming since that is when the house was built) Moen faucet. When I looked at the part that holds the faucet to the sink, I could not figure out how it was connected. It was so rusty and the Moen method is weird. After seeing this video, I was able to get the faucet off the sink. The deep socket I have, was not deep enough, so I did the 1/8 turn thing until I could get the deep socket on. Replaced it with a Kohler. Will never even consider a Moen in the future.
The innovation a few (?) years ago was to integrate the supply lines, previously you had to buy 2 flexible supply lines. The old Moen I'm replacing came down with copper & you ran flex lines down to the shutoff. The down side is don't wreck the connection since you can't just go buy a new one. Over tightening the supply line connection will cause it to leak, as they say, snug but not overly tight. Sometimes I snug it, maybe on the loose side, turn the water on, check it, if there's a leak, snug it up some more. One time I ruined one by over tightening.

I had this installed 4 months ago, it was fine untill pressure came extremely low and the spray nozzle doesnt stay on it's own, you have to hold it. They shipped us another same exact faucet. Hopefully the problems are fixed.

If only things were that simple. Today's kitchens have pipes coming in and out from 3 of 4 directions not to mention all the drainage from a dishwasher, washing machine, and the sink itself. Easy to fit if there is nothing at all in the way, like in this video.
I have a 20 Moen faucet that uses 1224 cartridge since 2005, when they leak I just clean the 2 rubber gasket with toothbrush and water, put it back, like new again. It happen about 4x only. The 5 shower uses cartridge 1225 cartridge It broke one time and I replace the cartridge. Moen is very reliable, easy to fix faucet.
Hello David. Plumbers tape should not be used when connecting the supply lines to your shut-off because the supply lines have a built-in washer to seal them.
While running the faucet the end of the hose that connects to the Duralock fitting popped off. After cleaning up the resulting mess/flood I reconnected the hose to the Duralock fitting, but when I turned the water back on the hose popped off again. These Duralocks are made of plastic and are very fragile. Would be a much better product if they were made of metal.

I would like to know if the pullout kitchen faucets, specifically Brantford, can be used with an on-demand hot water heater. I bought this quite a while ago, but it is still brand new in the box. A family member came to live in the house, so it was never installed. It's not the newer models with voice control, etc, just a standard model. Low flow taps often don't run enough volume for the water heater to deliver hot water. The current faucet works fine with hot water, so I don't want to take it out if this won't work with on-demand. It's a 15 year old water heater, but not heavily used until the last three years by one person. Good video!

I've been able to do it alone. Just tight the washer until it touch the mount washer and tight a bit more. It will stabilise the fosset enough that it won't move.
I did this now with some help and a normal crescent wrench. You can do it alone, but I found it can come loose again quickly. There are $10-20 ez-change faucet tools you can buy if you can't find a helpful pair of hands.
Nice step-by-step instructional video. Can I hook up my portable washer hose to my kitchen sink with this new faucet? I used to be able to hook up my washer hose which has a connector to my old sink faucet that had a removable nozzle via that connector. The workers just changed my kitchen sink faucet to Moen in my apartment. Show me, please, how to hook up my washer hose to my sink since I have now Moen that doesn't have a removable faucet nozzle. Great easy install. Too bad almost no HOT water is coming out. Now what? I even tried running the cold water through the hot water side to try to clear it out, but no luck.

I could use some guidance on IPS vs compression fittings. I have everything but the water connections done, I had to go to the store and buy fittings to adapt my existing 1/2" (compression or IPS?) water lines to the Moen 3/8" compression fittings. They leak like crazy. The hardware store guys couldn't tell me whether I needed compression or pipe fittings, even when I took the old hoses in. And Moen doesn't answer the phone on weekends. Great. This sucks. I won't have a kitchen faucet all weekend while I await information on Monday. I hate life.
Morning! Moen pull-out and pull-down faucets have built-in supply lines with 3/8" compression fittings on the end of the hose that is connected to the supply/shut off valves.

W here can I get the wrench to tighten the assembly. .the whole thing is loose after a “qualified” service rep. Installed this faucet about one year ago.

I am really dissapointed with our moen kitchen faucet. We got it with our brand new house that we moved into. The handle broke off 3 times under normal use because the tiny screw that holds it on kept breaking, a very poor design. In addition, the top of the pull out nozzle was leaky. Today we bought a new Delta faucet and installed it. Not really looking like we will purchase a Moen product again.

After a year that Orange rod became disconnected from the faucet and the faucet wiggled like a loose tooth. Not sue what the fix is, tried to screw back in but it won’t take. Probably just have to buy a new faucet with better quality.

I have a pullout faucet just like the one in this video. It was installed in a kitchen remodel in 2013. The hose developed a rip and was leaking when the hose was extended and the water was on. I ordered a replacement hose and received it today. The hose was perfect until I attached the spray wand and went to put the wand in the holder. The attachment end of the hose has been redesigned and the wand will not go all the way into the holder. The new hose I ordered is part #150259. Please help...

On this vid, a mounting bracket is needed if the counter top is less than 1/2" thick. But the current moen kitchen faucets offerings today, there is no mounting bracket, it's just the mounting washer. Why is this so?
Hello ybrik5. We had a design change to the mounting hardware for our pulldown and pull out style kitchen faucets in July 2018. The long 3 hole mounting bracket was removed and the mounting washer was updated.
Like Jacob, I also let go of the hose and it retracted back into the body of the faucet and I can't get it out. I've tried pushing it up and it is getting intercepted by the slope of the faucet. And, I can't pull in down because the head of the hose is larger than the pipe opening. Any suggestions for recovering it?

Hello Walt. The weight is placed approximately 4"-6" from the bottom loop that the hose creates. The weight should be on the side of the hose that is opposite of the quick connector.

I was told today that Moen can’t replace the plastic connector that snaps into the spray wand hose on my faucet. The said I have to buy a new unit. Very disappointed in Moen.
Hello George. We are sorry for the misunderstanding. The part of your faucet that is leaking cannot be replaced/repaired. This is why you were advised as the second owner of the faucet, that there is no warranty coverage on the fixture. Moen's warranties do not transfer from owner to owner.
Just a simple question on a spec for the Moen 7594SRS Arbor One-Handle High Arc Pulldown Kitchen Faucet. The spec sheet says it is designed to be installed thru a 1-1/2" min diameter. The hole through my 1-1/4” thick Cambria countertop is 1-3/8” diameter. It appears from the product description and this video that the water lines plus the threaded hose conduit should fit through my 1-3/8” diameter and not really require exactly a full 1-1/2” diameter hole. Is this the case? I have not bought the unit yet and just need to know first.
Hello. Our spec sheet does recommend 1 1/2” minimum diameter hole to allow some room when fitting the water lines and threaded hose into the counter top. It may fit snugly into the smaller hose size but Moen would recommend staying with what the spec sheet advises.
I just replace my old kitchen with a Fairbury Kitchen pull out Faucet (4005 series), everything went smooth, except the hot and cold lines weren't long enough to connect to the original outlets. What should I do?

Stupid question, but are you able to put a water filter on these types of faucets? I just replaced mine with this exact one a few days ago. And I forgot about wanting to get a filter selected with this new faucet until after I'd gotten it all set up.

My pullout hose only lasted 4 years and started leaking in the middle. Home Depot does not sell replacement parts. Poor quality.

What was the cause of the problem (no hot water)?
L Lawliet trash in the line, and i fixed it myself. took apart and rinsed well. removed condenser works fine.
My son, who has no experience plumbing, installed our faucet in 30 minutes. The old faucet was a moen so all the hook ups matched.
Moen has great products and a fantastic warranty , all the taps in my house are moen

Nice tutorial. I wish at the end they showed the faucet in action. I spent 10 min trying to figure out why water wasn't coming out until I realized that you turn the water on by rotating the handle outward, 90 degrees, rather than rotating it toward or away from you. Should have been obvious, but the outward rotation isn't something I was used to with other faucets.

Surprisingly easy too install once you remove the old one, SO be sure to HOLD ON TO THE INSTALLATION TOOL and LABEL IT. Removing the old one was a bitch, because of rust, a deep sink and no space between the sink and the wall. I broke the installation tool and had to buy a deep socket 13/16 socket to add to a socket wrench and an extender. Then I had to resort to stinky (p.u.) Blaster penetrating spray after no luck with WD 40, but it worked in time for Christmas! Hallelujah!

Good video. I just posted a repair video with a Moen Extensa kitchen faucet and it was really easy and fast to repair.
I am replacing a circa 2004 (I'm assuming since that is when the house was built) Moen faucet. When I looked at the part that holds the faucet to the sink, I could not figure out how it was connected. It was so rusty and the Moen method is weird. After seeing this video, I was able to get the faucet off the sink. The deep socket I have, was not deep enough, so I did the 1/8 turn thing until I could get the deep socket on. Replaced it with a Kohler. Will never even consider a Moen in the future.
The innovation a few (?) years ago was to integrate the supply lines, previously you had to buy 2 flexible supply lines. The old Moen I'm replacing came down with copper & you ran flex lines down to the shutoff. The down side is don't wreck the connection since you can't just go buy a new one. Over tightening the supply line connection will cause it to leak, as they say, snug but not overly tight. Sometimes I snug it, maybe on the loose side, turn the water on, check it, if there's a leak, snug it up some more. One time I ruined one by over tightening.

I had this installed 4 months ago, it was fine untill pressure came extremely low and the spray nozzle doesnt stay on it's own, you have to hold it. They shipped us another same exact faucet. Hopefully the problems are fixed.

If only things were that simple. Today's kitchens have pipes coming in and out from 3 of 4 directions not to mention all the drainage from a dishwasher, washing machine, and the sink itself. Easy to fit if there is nothing at all in the way, like in this video.
I have a 20 Moen faucet that uses 1224 cartridge since 2005, when they leak I just clean the 2 rubber gasket with toothbrush and water, put it back, like new again. It happen about 4x only. The 5 shower uses cartridge 1225 cartridge It broke one time and I replace the cartridge. Moen is very reliable, easy to fix faucet.

Hello David. Plumbers tape should not be used when connecting the supply lines to your shut-off because the supply lines have a built-in washer to seal them.
While running the faucet the end of the hose that connects to the Duralock fitting popped off. After cleaning up the resulting mess/flood I reconnected the hose to the Duralock fitting, but when I turned the water back on the hose popped off again. These Duralocks are made of plastic and are very fragile. Would be a much better product if they were made of metal.

I would like to know if the pullout kitchen faucets, specifically Brantford, can be used with an on-demand hot water heater. I bought this quite a while ago, but it is still brand new in the box. A family member came to live in the house, so it was never installed. It's not the newer models with voice control, etc, just a standard model. Low flow taps often don't run enough volume for the water heater to deliver hot water. The current faucet works fine with hot water, so I don't want to take it out if this won't work with on-demand. It's a 15 year old water heater, but not heavily used until the last three years by one person.

1:57 - Correct me if I'm wrong, but you need 2 people for that step: one above to hold the faucet straight and one to tighten the nut below.
I've been able to do it alone. Just tight the washer until it touch the mount washer and tight a bit more. It will stabilise the fosset enough that it won't move.
I did this now with some help and a normal crescent wrench. You can do it alone, but I found it can come loose again quickly. There are $10-20 ez-change faucet tools you can buy if you can't find a helpful pair of hands.

Nice step-by-step instructional video. Can I hook up my portable washer hose to my kitchen sink with this new faucet? I used to be able to hook up my washer hose which has a connector to my old sink faucet that had a removable nozzle via that connector. The workers just changed my kitchen sink faucet to Moen in my apartment. Show me, please, how to hook up my washer hose to my sink since I have now Moen that doesn't have a removable faucet nozzle. I could use some guidance on IPS vs compression fittings. I have everything but the water connections done, I had to go to the store and buy fittings to adapt my existing 1/2" (compression or IPS?) water lines to the Moen 3/8" compression fittings. They leak like crazy. The hardware store guys couldn't tell me whether I needed compression or pipe fittings, even when I took the old hoses in. And Moen doesn't answer the phone on weekends. Great. This sucks. I won't have a kitchen faucet all weekend while I await information on Monday. I hate life.
Morning! Moen pull-out and pull-down faucets have built-in supply lines with 3/8" compression fittings on the end of the hose that is connected to the supply/shut off valves.

I am really dissapointed with our moen kitchen faucet. We got it with our brand new house that we moved into. The handle broke off 3 times under normal use because the tiny screw that holds it on kept breaking, a very poor design. In addition, the top of the pull out nozzle was leaky. Today we bought a new Delta faucet and installed it. Not really looking like we will purchase a Moen product again.

After a year that Orange rod became disconnected from the faucet and the faucet wiggled like a loose tooth. Not sue what the fix is, tried to screw back in but it won’t take. Probably just have to buy a new faucet with better quality.

I have a pullout faucet just like the one in this video. It was installed in a kitchen remodel in 2013. The hose developed a rip and was leaking when the hose was extended and the water was on. I ordered a replacement hose and received it today. The hose was perfect until I attached the spray wand and went to put the wand in the holder. The attachment end of the hose has been redesigned and the wand will not go all the way into the holder. The new hose I ordered is part #150259. Please help...

On this vid, a mounting bracket is needed if the counter top is less than 1/2" thick. But the current moen kitchen faucets offerings today, there is no mounting bracket, it's just the mounting washer. Why is this so?
Hello ybrik5. We had a design change to the mounting hardware for our pulldown and pull out style kitchen faucets in July 2018. The long 3 hole mounting bracket was removed and the mounting washer was updated.
Like Jacob, I also let go of the hose and it retracted back into the body of the faucet and I can't get it out. I've tried pushing it up and it is getting intercepted by the slope of the faucet. And, I can't pull in down because the head of the hose is larger than the pipe opening. Any suggestions for recovering it?

Hello Walt. The weight is placed approximately 4"-6" from the bottom loop that the hose creates. The weight should be on the side of the hose that is opposite of the quick connector.

Hello @pinchoffat5381. After installing the faucet body through the mounting hole and ensuring that the on/off handle is on the right-hand side, the hot supply line hose will be the one on the left.
I was told today that Moen can’t replace the plastic connector that snaps into the spray wand hose on my faucet. The said I have to buy a new unit. Very disappointed in Moen.
Hello George. We are sorry for the misunderstanding. The part of your faucet that is leaking cannot be replaced/repaired. This is why you were advised as the second owner of the faucet, that there is no warranty coverage on the fixture. Moen's warranties do not transfer from owner to owner.
Just a simple question on a spec for the Moen 7594SRS Arbor One-Handle High Arc Pulldown Kitchen Faucet. The spec sheet says it is designed to be installed thru a 1-1/2" min diameter. The hole through my 1-1/4” thick Cambria countertop is 1-3/8” diameter. It appears from the product description and this video that the water lines plus the threaded hose conduit should fit through my 1-3/8” diameter and not really require exactly a full 1-1/2” diameter hole. Is this the case? I have not bought the unit yet and just need to know first.
Hello. Our spec sheet does recommend 1 1/2” minimum diameter hole to allow some room when fitting the water lines and threaded hose into the counter top. It may fit snugly into the smaller hose size but Moen would recommend staying with what the spec sheet advises.

Stupid question, but are you able to put a water filter on these types of faucets? I just replaced mine with this exact one a few days ago. And I forgot about wanting to get a filter selected with this new faucet until after I'd gotten it all set up.

Hello Tom. You are correct. Moen pull-down kitchen faucets that have side mounted handles can be installed with the handle on the right side or in the front/middle. The way the handle operates cannot be changed to accommodate a left side installation.
