Hi here's an update. This video is great BUT only for 2019 2020 models. It took ages but I eventually found the dam three pin connector for the wiring loom on my 2021 upside down fork version. It is mounted on another plastic tray that is held in with one torx screw at the bottom of the headstock near the clutch cable. The connector is right in the front of the frame hidden away beside another white connector. So you don't need to remove that bracket with the other black connectors on just under the front of the tank. It is hidden aargh. I hope this helps for anyone doing this at home on the new model.
Arawan, thanks for the vid and the part number from comment below. I've been looking for this for my wife's bike all winter. Dealer says it's not for the Speed Twin but the Thruxton. However, the documentation you provided clearly states it will work for the Speed Twin. This will make the wife very happy.
Many thanks, very helpful. In my case, I didn’t have to open the lamp and disconnect the throttle. I had enough cable length to move the throttle unit to the end of the handle bar. The whole process took 40 minutes. I have a 2020 Speed Twin.
Hey thanks a lot for posting this! Your video gave me the confidence to do it on my own...and it really wasn’t that bad at all, and by no means am I good at “wrenching.” For those of you considering it, save yourself some money and follow this video (& the instructions as pointed out in the video) & you’ll be fine!
If you are putting in the throttle free play eliminators at the same time, you’ll avoid having to touch the headlight. Sliding the tank back will allow enough space. Thanks for making the video 👍🏼
I did this on my Trophy still got 3 screws left over from the fairing!!!! 2 years latter everything is still on the bike !!!! Heated grips i just Oxford now they seem to be less issues than OEM grips and from my experience warmer too.
Hey Arawan, do you happen to know the part number for these heated grips? Triumph rep says they don't have heated grips for the Speed Twin... This video says otherwise.
@@joehammer1835 To remove the OEM grip and pull it out you need to move the entire throttle unit almost out. By disconnecting you can do this, otherwise there isn't enough slack.
I have same problem with quadlock case. It lifts up screen protection glass on my phone, so expensive and I am so disappointed with my purchase, tried 3 different glasses, none fits with my Iphone xr

That's great to know. Will get this pinned for others to see, thanks!

Thanks! Glad it was helpful.
Fair play that's quite a job, I got the dealer to do mine before I collected it. Glad I did. Great video

That's a great tip, didn't know that. Thanks!

Hey Arawan, would this be a similar process to the Street Twin 2016?
Yes this is the same process for the Street Twin from VIN 832750 which I believe is also the 2016.
Hello Arawan, Have you ever seen signs of coolant leaking from the small hole in the middle of the oil pan under your speed twin?
I have not.
That's alot of work for changing out grips.
Is it really necessary to remove the tank. Couldn’t you merely unbolt and move back .
You can just move it backwards. Removing it makes it a lot easier though.
Thanks, also why are you removing the headlight and throttle plug

Didn't realize other people were having that issue. If I get a 3d Printer I might try to make my own.
