    It would be great if you did a voice over commentary saying what parts you were removing and what tools at each stage. That would be really helpful to other Triumph owners.
    Good vid none the less.

    I have a 2022 Speed Twin with the USD forks, and they still sucked. I had GMD Computrack install and set up K-Tech cartridges, springs, oil and fully adjustable fork caps and it went very nicely with the Ohlins shocks that I installed. Gonna get this thing out on track and see how it does.

    Really nice video, joy to watch it done so thoroughly. Can I ask if you considered cartridge emulators? If the cost has been worth it? Also, what did you use to clean the threads on the bolts (couldn't work out the material on the grinding machine)?

    • @3ftDeepChannel
      @3ftDeepChannel  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I had read good reviews on the cartridges so decided to go that route the emulators look like an inexpensive option to improve the front forks. The bench grinder has a wire wheel that was used to clean the bolt threads.

      I still have the Speed Twin and have no regrets doing the suspension upgrades I think this bike will stick around for a while I still really enjoy it. Thinking back after doing the suspension upgrades I have got used to the improved ride so don't really think about it the bike rides and feels like it should have from the factory no upsets or surprises when riding uneven pavement.

    Great vid thanks.
    How did the Speed Twin ride after the upgrade? How many hours or days did the upgrade take please?

    • @3ftDeepChannel
      @3ftDeepChannel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      After some ride time on them the two things that stand out for me are the reduced fork dive under braking and the compliance on sharp bumps the road shock is absorbed and dampened as the suspension can now react quicker instead of transferring the shock through the bars I didn't realize how much I was bracing when riding on bad pavement I can now feel the front end stay planted. When ordering from Nitron the rider weight is requested on the order form so the cartridges are shipped with the correct spring for your weight. Andreani, K-Tech and Ohlins also make kits for the Speed Twin if you want to look at other options.
      The cartridges can be done in an afternoon if you have all the tools and some mechanical ability.

    Hello. I have a BMW R9T Urban GS. I was told the inside of the forks needs to be machined to get the 22mm TVT cartridge to fit. Have you heard this or have experience doing it? If so, can you provide any specifics on what's needed? Cheers Captain B

      @3ftDeepChannel  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello Captain! Sorry, but we don’t have any experience with this. I’d try to get a shop manual for your machine, and confirm with the cartridge manufacturer what is needed to install on your machine. Good luck.

    How do they ride? I’m thinking about doing this same upgrade.

    • @3ftDeepChannel
      @3ftDeepChannel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      After some ride time on them at the end of last season the two things that stand out for me are the reduced fork dive under braking and the compliance on sharp bumps the road shock is absorbed and dampened as the suspension can now react quicker instead of transferring the shock through the bars I didn't realize how much I was bracing when riding on bad pavement I can now feel the front end stay planted which makes the rear suspension feel harsh. I'm going to play with the settings to set the sag and fine tune the damping I set everything up as recommended in the instructions that came with the kit. Shortly after installing the cartridges I installed Nitron R1 shocks to complete the suspension upgrades. When ordering Nitron cartridges and shocks rider weight is part of the order form so they are shipped with the correct springs for your weight.
      It's a shame Triumph cheaped out on the suspension with the Speed Twin as the rest of the bike is brilliant I'm not the lightest guy on the planet and the forks are lightly sprung from the factory so someone lighter might not notice the fork dive as bad as I did. I felt the cartridges are worth the money even though they are not cheap, Andreani and K-Tech also make kits for the Speed Twin.
      Good Luck.

    Good afternoon great teacher.
    I have a 2009 RXP 255, it was wintered with no problems last year. this year it won't start, the engine runs, the spark plugs work, the injectors work, the petrol reaches the combustion chamber.
    What do you recommend I check?
    I wish you good evening

    • @3ftDeepChannel
      @3ftDeepChannel  ปีที่แล้ว

      I assume you mean the end of the turns over but it doesn’t fire. In that case, you should double check your spark plugs. It could be that they are fouled. How did you confirm that your fuel injectors work? What about your coil packs? Have you double checked that they are connected properly? I assumed you have checked the air intake manifold? Nothing could’ve built a nest in there over the winter? It could also be a plugged fuel filter, or bad fuel pump.

      New spark plugs, overhauled injectors, overhauled intake manifold. I have a doubt about the fuel pump and how much pressure should it be?
      When I hit start the engine runs but doesn't give a bang.
      Greetings

    • @3ftDeepChannel
      @3ftDeepChannel  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@biagiogiardina7480 It's tough to diagnose over the internet. Did you install new spark plugs ? Can you hear the fuel pump run when powered up ? What do you mean by "Overhauled the intake manifold" ? Any codes on the dash ? Fuel pressure should be 58 psi.

    • @biagiogiardina7480
      @biagiogiardina7480 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@3ftDeepChannel Hello
      Clean intake manifold, new spark plugs, the fuel pump starts with the key inserted, no errors on the dashboard. I'll check the fuel pressure as soon as I can. Regards

    • @3ftDeepChannel
      @3ftDeepChannel  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@biagiogiardina7480 Did you remove the caps from the top of the spark plugs ? I have seen new spark plugs installed with the cap still on and the coil pack will not fit over the larger cap therefore not making contact. Double check all the electrical connectors since you were working on the intake manifold the cam and crank position sensor wiring is in that area and if not fully plugged in there is no signal to the ECU. I'm thinking if the machine ran fine last year it must have been something done since or during winterization.
