When I tell you this movie threw me for a loop! 🤣 That man was UNHINGED!
So you've heard of survivor's guilt? What June does is kind of that in reverse. When a child loses a parent, whether it be through death or even separation, sometimes they view the remaining parent as the source of the problem and hate them for being around. Given how young June was when her father was imprisoned she likely didnt remember much about him, add to it that her mom only kept pictures and video of the times they were happiest, June had an idealized version of her father in her head. That idealized version would never embarrass her, or make her write things down, or anything a real parent (ie her mom) would do, which means when her mom does those things she's "the bad guy".

Ugh I felt horrible by the end. 😫 But yes, I will look into Picture In Picture. 😂 I loved watching this movie because I thought I had it figured out and I was so wrong. That RARELY happens.
