YO I DIDNT EVEN KNOW THAT WAS MARIAH CAREY WTF SHE LOOKS SO DIFFERENT 🤯
you are not the only one I didn't either and she's my favorite singer
That’s how she looks without the Glam and blonde hair. Oh, and her New York accent came through strong in this one.
You should react to forever my girl
MJ WIthout Spiderman Enough Trauma Bonding Can We Watch At Least 1 Martial Art Film ? 🤣
I recommend you to watch ride along 1 and 2
And now The girl who played precious she’s married & now pregnant with twins
I heard about that!!!! 🎉💕 😁👑☀️
She looks so happy!
fun fact: in the scene where precious slapped consuelo, no one else in the scene knew about the slap other than gabourey, the director and the actress who plays consuelo. everyone’s reaction in that scene was genuine
That just makes the scene even funnier now😆
Whewww! I couldn't be no actor cause I know it was some power behind that slap 😭😭
Those scenes weren't Precious' dreams but more like fantasies and an escape when she was going through trauma....when you hear ppl say they have out of body experiences when going through something violent or traumatic, this is was Precious' representation of that
The fact that the street bullies didn't come to see if she was ok after she took long to get off the floor. Meaning they ran off and only the dog came to check....wow
Yeah… Just a girl with a dream… Born into a nightmare.
Mariah with the deep voice BUT can sing so high🎶
All those "dreams" she kept having weren't necessarily dreams she was just trying to escape from her reality most abused children or people in general who are being abused will imagine themselves living a different life its the only way they can deal with the trauma
True.
@MJ WITHOUT SPIDER-MAN
Fun Fact: The Actor that played the abusive mother (Mo'Nique) after they filmed the Social Worker scene Monique actually started crying because she had to act mean to the Baby with Down Syndrome
That’s understandable because i can tell that it broke her heart that she had to portray a character that has no meaning of humanity. One thing for certain, a lot of these actors/actresses are actually very genuine and sweet in real life.
@@That_gloss_bosswhat’s more sad is Monique was sexually abused by her own brother in real life so to play this villain I know was so tough
As a former victim of bullying, I don't get how bullies feel so special and powerful 🤷♂️
To make matters worse, in the sequel novel.. Precious dies at the very start and her son Abdul gets sent to an orphanage where is he r*ped and abused and he eventually ends up becoming a sexual abuser himself. Like it's so sad that Precious never got to reach any dreams and her kids never got to benefit from the beautiful person that she could have became, it just ended in more misery.
Whats the sequel called?
@@Fairytwinkleglitterfarts the book is called The Kid
YOU’VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME! 😭💔 Why! Why would anyone write a story that sad… 💔💔💔💔
That writer is wild 😭
Like Woah 😐
The mother cares more about her cats than her own daughter
Precious' fantasies kept her sane. Just my opinion. A heartbreaking, infuriating movie. Great actors, here!
Precious's Mom is the worst caregiver since the aunts from James and the giant peach.
Timmy Turners Parents is up there as well
The Dursleys and Matildas parents
Mariah Carey was great as the social worker and the beautiful Lenny Kravitz as Nurse John. Great reaction too!
"Whatcha you gonna do if I die of starvation?"
Me: Celebrate and throw a party!
Precious mother don't deserve sympathy whatsoever
There's a lot to unpack with Mary
Yea cause not only did she allow it to happen but she was also doing it as well
@@zipporahlewis4908 makes you realize she was aware and she simply didn't wanna stop it
You have to understand what her upbringing was like and the type of abuse she had to face as well. Hurt people hurt people.
@@Wizardkelly808 exactly... It's even more sad people fail to see n understand this ... Her mother had her own demons n didn't know how to process it all n sadly took it out on her daughter. It's fucked but makes you wonder wtf all she delt with herself
Even sadder is the sequel book explains that Precious died from her virus, and follows Abduls life.
What happened to her kids? Did anybody adopt them ?
@@dreamergirlbaby The book is about Abduls life going through orphan life from the ages of 9-19
Dont want to spoil, but its a pretty sad book.
@@dreamergirlbaby Adbul is pretty much a monster.
@@loner1878Really how?
@@user-ru7nt9lv9c he molests/SA's other kids
Alot of people miss that her mom was also SA her . Always cry when watching this. Loved your reaction
You handled this better than I expected. I was traumatized first (and only) time I watched. It was disturbing to me, but captivating. Such great acting! Great reaction.
I was in precious shoes back in high school freshman and sophomore year I was bullied by ppl who didn’t believe in me that’s what made me come back to TH-cam, dancing, and entertainment I’m doing it all for myself
This movie was crazy.... I remember people in the theatre walked out.
Damn, thas crazy, but it be like that tho
I know a girl who pretty much went through the same thing as precious she’s in her late 20s now was about 3-4 when it happen her birth giver still refuses to acknowledge it
I was only briefly a bully because I was tired of being bullied. So I picked a few fights with a few bullies myself, in high school its like shooting fish in a barrel, but I had enough. So I fought dirty as can be, and got all the weird kids left alone for a few years. My favorite thing now is for people to meet me, love my vibe, find out its me, and tell me how horrible the stories are. When they get the full story, theyre always on my side.
I never got to fight MY bully unfortunately as he was a rich guy, but he unalived himself. Homeboy hated himself but in the end, he was always just weak and scared. Stay tough.
I remember crying in the theater when I seen this back in 2009 😢
I was bullied too. I feel ur pain too
Great reaction. This movie was a hard pill for me to swallow and was very bittersweet. I remember viewing it when it hit the theaters. It had me in very deep thought. It was sweet because she was able to attain & exercise agency in her life for betterment but very bitter because of all the evils that happened to her. No kid should ever experience this kind of stuff ever. But yeah, very serious movie and this is one of those flicks that I’d really have to watch solo because it makes me angry and tear up.
I just kno mj’s gonna cry🤣🤣
I only saw this movie once so I forget a lot but holy shit ...this was a hard watch. Thank you for reacting to this ❤
I love Monique but she scared me in this movie 😓
she did her thang Oscar deserve but she scared me to
@@ScorpionLee1 Faxx 💯
DL Hughley said she wasn't acting😮
@@carameldiva5131 She definitely played that role too good it felt real 🥺
As a grown ass man I was scared asf 💀😂
The lady that plays her mom should've won a oscar for that role !!!! Idc what anyone says
She did
@@tiara29963 good because the realism and just down right brilliance in that role deserved it ! I grew up with a girl like precious who had a mother like her , I use to always be sad for her and cry with her at the bus stop. We gotta do better for our kids real shit !
Amazing reaction to Precious
please watch Daddy's Little Girls by TP
I Am So Glad That You Mentioned That Movie, It Is Practically The Polar Opposite Of This Precious.
You should watch and react to Sparkle! With Whitney Houston and Jordin Sparks
Nurse John was just someone who was trying to help her he wasn’t creepy or anything since that’s what you kept thinking
Your heart is so pure. You watch movies like I do. I found you through SLK. New sub💙
Those visions weren’t “dreams” of Precious’, it was a coping mechanism for her to escape from her messed up reality. Also back then believe it not you could actually smoke in the hospital my mom was telling me how they were all smoking in the room when my older cousins (born in the 70’s and 80’s) were born so it’s not odd that Mary thinks it’s okay to smoke around the baby. And Precious wasn’t emotionless so much as she was remaining strong throughout the movie despite all the bad things she went through but the HIV diagnosis broke her. It’s truly a very sad, very heavy scene.
yup she would dissociate
That’s very true. Those fantasy’s were coping mechanisms for her.
Needs a part 2 I need to see what happened
Well you can read the sequel book. Its not a happy outcome tho.
Check out the movie Freedom Writers(2007).
Another great reaction...consistent MJ!
From the words of the late great comedian Paul Mooney, "A demon wrote this movie." But anyway, great reaction! 👍🏿
wdym by that if you don’t mind me asking ?
@@mamacitaorwtv Rewatch the movie.
You should watch “BOO! A Madea Halloween”
Fun Fact: Mo’Nique won an Academy Award for Supporting Actress for her role as Mary!!
I know what happens in this film by reading the plot on Wikipedia, but purposely, I haven't watched it irl. Since you're reacting to it, I guess now is as good a time as any to actually watch it.
hello everyone i seen precious movie alot of times is a great movie monique won a oscar for this movie she did amazing job to play this role
only 34 mins is CRAZY WORK!
Aww Mj don't cryy this movie is sad low-key
i like the parts that paula patton and mariah carey was looking so beautiful and good and this was a sad sitaution and story.
Loved it 😂❤❤
Yes I enjoyed your Reaction.
Sad reaction 🥹🔥
That was Mariah Carey
Miss Ma’am. I was waiting for you to do this one lowkey
I was wondering if you had seen this! I will be watching this review when it premieres. This movie broke me all the way up 😢. And the book is even sadder than the movie
Hey MJ! Precious is a powerful movie! Monique played her role so well it had me hating her. 😎
Its not a happy ending, AZT wasn't a thing yet, its a death sentence at that point. And the sequel book confirmed that. Also her son is pretty much a monster.
The sad reality of this is shit like this is happening to young girls here and in other countries,
the way Monique threw that pot and ran up the stairs freaked me out wtf was that a football training skill or what
Great film and a great reaction keep doing the damn thang thang MJ
🌹🌹🌹
Excuse me MJ, I recommend you should watch and react to the movies: "Their Eyes Were Watching God" & "Beloved"
This was crazy and sad.
Being a mother herself....I can't even IMAGINE how much Mo'Nique needed to go through to RELEASE herself from that monstrous CNT of a character she played.
nice job mj
Monique was playing herself in this movie 😂😂😂😂
I think it’s based on the book push
Precious movie was so good. Monique played that role real good love the video MJ stay motivated Dream big 1 mill on the way
Watch the movie called you don't mess with the Zohan
This is a one time watch
MJWITHOUTSPIDERMAN WHY ARE YOU CRYING 😭😭😭
If you google the back story it’s not a happy ending 😢
Not a movie I would watch more than once
Hopefully she watch For Colored Girls
I think she did but I’m not for sure
Hey Mj can you also react to freedom writers?
I forgot Mariah Carey was in this
Mariah fine ah😋
Wassup MJ how are you today really excited and can't wait to enjoy this reaction 😊
Loving your reactions! Movies I recommend would be Mary J Blige's Real Love and Strength of A Woman, Breaking In, & Acrimony ((:
movie recommendation: College Road Trip
Not even bullshitting I saw the thumbnail and thought you were watching Notorious
💀
Great movie love the vids MJ
Thank you so much for watching this movie, love you girl. You should react to a movie called Holiday Heart, I've watched it so many times, it's so good.❣️
I agree
You aren’t missing much on the pick feet. I enjoy pig tails. Not much there but I like chewing on the bones. The best are turkey necks
Can you please do Words on bathroom walls
Monique is a top 10 villain in this film.
9:08 I grew up being bullied😔
this movie is so triggering but so good
This is a good movie
Bro I tried to do the credit card with your patron to requested a movie but couldn't how can i all want is you to react to la bamba better than precious is actually based on a true story
It’s sad that I could relate to her story minus the aids, kids and school stuff and I’m a guy lol. This movie just was so sad for me although I did find some humor out of when people was making those memes of Monique lol.
Precious is a good movie because you get to see how a person's life and story went from bad and transition to a change.
Watch iron claw
MJ Awesome Video Today!!🔥🐐🐐💎
I haven't even rolled up yet I NEED A MIN 💀
The part where precious comes home after giving birth that’s just part of the movie where I had to ask the question why. you’ve been having this hatred towards your daughter because you’re mentally sick in the head boyfriend/husband, great job picking him up by the way prefers to SA his own child been had consensual sex with you?
And if you sit back, and you kinda analyze the situation, that man really messed up the entire family like’s Monique’s character was still an awful mother and a horrible human being, but it makes me kind of wonder what were to happen if precious his father didn’t SA her. But then again, her mother probably still would’ve abused her because precious still took care of her, and this woman was sitting in front of her saying, “who else was gonna love me?”
I hate precious’ mother in this movie. like I love Monique she’s amazing. She’s a lovely lady and honestly this was a good performance. I mean clearly she got an Oscar from it but it’s not fun to watch.
Precious life was just awful. What could this young lady have done in any of her previous lives or her current life then to deserve this? Cause I’m telling you right now if that was my life,When I get up to heaven, I’m gonna throw hands with God. Sorry Jesus, but I have to give you the vicious case of the beats. But seriously if this is somebody’s life, from being sexually abused by your own parents since the age of three, birthing two incest children, and dying before even turning 18 ,while your other parent is trying to take your head off every chance they get, oh yeah if that was my life they’d need security for me in heaven. All in all this is a very powerful movie. I don’t think it’s for anyone’s peace and sanity, but you get the message they were trying to send out.
Unfortunately, the author of the book that this movie is based off of made second book, and in the next book precious dies a year after all of the events happen from aids, her son was sent to a foster home and suffered the same fate as her, and eventually did the same thing to someone else. I haven’t read the book, but that’s what the premise of the book was.
You should watch the perfect guy that a good movie
It was a good movie!
You should watch Bones next starring Snoop Dogg or The Underdogs starring Snoop Dogg
yea, that one is funny
MJ watch another madea movie pls ??
Try takers
😳
Mo’niqe was a savage in this movie😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
This movie freaked me out.
