This is actually where General Grievous originated, it’s why he didn’t have much of an introduction in Revenge of the Sith and why people were a bit confused by him
Yes, but also no. The original idea for General Grievous was to make him a "Jedi Terminator," which is why they made this version so OP. However, as development for ROTS continued, George changed his mind. George wanted to change things up and do something new rather than make yet another super intimidating villain, so he decided to make Grievous more like the mustache twirling villains from the Saturday morning TV shows he used to watch.
I consider the Sith Triumvirate of Kotor 2 as a whole to be Better Villains than Darth Vader. Darth Sion, Darth Traya and Darth Nihilus are Peak Characters. They complement each other so well and have such interesting and cool backgrounds.
"How are some clones better than other clones?" Legends actually has an answer for that. There were several classes of clones with different levels of genetic modification and even training. The Clone leaders were made to be more independent and creative than the standard troopers.
Which came with the inherent risk of accidently creating a living breathing soul that had ideas and emotions, which the Kaminoians tried very hard to avoid.
It is probably more that the generic trooper were inferior because they were rushed through, so they could be mass produced. And by being rushed through, they never matured enough to reach the full potential of their progenitor
in cannon the original dna sample from Jango Fett started to degrade after some time which made the next generations of clones inferior in skill to the first generation clones like Cody and Rex.
A detail I like is that when Shaak Ti gets ahold of one of the droid staff weapons... Notice how they are suddenly doing a lot worse at protecting themselves against her strikes? The droids are Programmed for anti-lightsaber combat. Clearly they missed programming them for how to fight/counter attacks from their own staff weapons and they are having to fall back on some generic combat protocols that just arent a match for a jedi swinging said staff. Hence why they suddenly start getting hit all over the place. Notice also how they get a bit better again once she gets the saber back?
Genndy Tartakovsky is a superb masterclass of animated fight scenes and action sequences. If you guys enjoyed this, you have GOT to watch Genndy’s most famous work- Samurai Jack!
You beat me to the punch. Samurai Jack is superb work. Jack, a nice but badass multi class samurai fighting in a sci-fi setting. Both seasons 1&2 are great. Also his work on Primal is phenomenal, two truma bonded parents fighting together in a land of dinosaurs, mammals, and monsters. I watched a video that said dinosaurs MAY have lasted as long as 550,000 years after the asteroid that ended them (in a small isolated pocket of land in North America). Meaning they MAY have lived long enough to be in a world with dog sized mammals.
Fun fact. The reason why the song playing during fight between Darth Maul, Obi Wan and Qui-Gon is called "Duel of the fates" is because that singular fight decided fate of Anakin Skywalker and in turn the fate of the galaxy.
Side note. If you’re wondering where John Williams got the inspiration for writing that piece, check out one of Yoko Kanno’s works called “Black Escaflowne”. He did more than a little borrowing of inspiration from that one if you ask me.
@@schaddenkorp6977 That would be difficult, as Black Escaflowne is from the Escaflowne theatrical movie, which released more than a year after The Phantom Menace.

This show was basically the prequel to Revenge of The Sith before Clone Wars was a thing. Its why Grievous didn't have an introduction in that movie. This was all he needed.
This show is as Canon as you want it to be. Are there wild exaggerations? SURE. But that is what you get with tales told over (several) drinks at the Cantina.... "No Pudu, there I was as...." It's one of those things where the story as a whole might not be canon but the events could feasibly have happened in the backgroune and this is just one way of seeing them, like Grevious capturing Palpatine is unarguably an event that happened (it just in canon would've happened slightly differently due to characters like Shak-ti being present in other places in different stories, in this example she's had like 3 different deaths in various stories).
@@-libertyprimev1-902 Oh, Shaak-Ti is EASY. Everywhere she is seen, and every separate time she has died, are ALL Canon. Shaak-Ti represents the only successful example of the Jedi's Secret "Force User Cloning" experiment. 🖖😎
George hated these shorts, that he made sure to nerf the jedi with the first episode of the 3D series where Yoda really couldn't solo a hundred droids. I mean, it was at that moment that the universe was stagnanted and really couldn't evolve, forsaking the franchise by not modernizing it.
Resident Star Wars nerd (and fan of the channel) the Blaster Bolts seen in Star Wars are generated by a process of super heating gas turning it into plasma and firing it out the barrel, so all those blaster bolts will eventually dissipate as they lose energy, where as a laser would not.
This applies to starship energy weapons also, they have an "effective range" after which the energy begins to dissipate and the "shot" will eventually fizzle out.
@@youwayo right, Tibana Gas, that’s then turned into plasma and shot out of the barrel. But Tibana has certain properties that make it uniquely suited, it’s why they cant use abundant gases like helium or hydrogen. If I remember correctly Tibana is a very special type of gas that only comes from certain gas giants in certain solar systems. It’s why Lando was so rich, Cloud City harnessed and processed clouds of Tibana from the plant they hovered above (hence the name).
I remember when people complain that the “laser” guns in are unrealistic because the projectile aren’t laser beams and that they are visible. A common misconception really.
FUN FACT: You see that scene at 52:15? According to commentary by the shows storyrunners: Bryan Andrews, Darrick Bachman, Paul Rudish, & Genndy Tartakovsky, that is Luke and Leia's Conception
The guy who voices Anakin in this is Matt Lucas. Us kids who grew up in the 2000’s and were Star Wars fans know him for voicing Anakin in this, the Revenge Of The Sith game as well as voicing him in the 2005 Battlefront 2.
Even if the Jedi treated Anakin different, he has too much pride and it would have gone to his head; you also asked: why not just quit the Jedi and be happy with Padme? Well, his pride didn't let him, he wanted to be considered a great Jedi.
Exactly. They and a handful of others keep ignoring Anakin's flaws that led to his actions. It's like Obi Wan final line in this show said about how our decisions shape our destinies and not just the aspects about us we don't like.
@@Lobsterwithinternet Indeed. The Jedi's failures played a crucial role in why Anakin was deceived by the dark side. And let's not forget that Anakin was by far not the only arrogant Jedi (thats even confirmed in the movies). Just look at Mace Windu or even Yoda himself. Even Obi-Wan was kinda arrogant, people just tend to overlook it because he is hiding that behind his quirky sarcasm.
The only thing I know for a fact would change Anakin's fate would be if Palpatine wasn't in his life. Like if Obiwan just told him "anakin this creepy old man is a weirdo I don't want you to talk to him" then anakin MIGHT have been a better person. But it's always been palps's fault
This one is AMAZING because it's made by the guy that did Samurai Jack. Also, they invented Star Wars Shaggy, his literal name is SHA-GI. If you want a Star Wars fighting game, play Capcoms Plasma Sword. It was supposed to be a Star Wars game but Lucus Arts chickened out so Capcom made basically a Star Wars Fighter without the name. Its gonna be in that new Capcom Fighting Collection.

The underrated prequel series to Revenge of the Sith, Genndy Tartakovsky knows how to master atmosphere with limited dialogue - which he has done amazingly in Primal - lots of things transitioned to the rebooted series like Ventress but sadly not all. And honestly General Grievous has never had the same aura as he had in this miniseries.
Curved Hilted sabers were made to duel other saber users :)...he was Yodas Padawan, and when Yoda found out how he came across plans and built the saber the way he did, he knew something was up.
Fun fact, when this series fist aired there was about a year in-between the release of part 1 and part 2. So imagine watching the Grievous episode and it ends with that shot of him about to go full slasher villain on Kiadi Mundi and you then found out you had to wait a year to find out what happens. It was excruciating
21:50 Dirge didn't die from this either... Anakin ended up killing him by setting a ship he was on, on a course with a collapsing star. Gendai are truly the Majin Buus of Star Wars 😆.
@@passingrando6457 I don't think so, but it's been a couple years since I hard delved into the Gendai for a SW tabletop game. I know the Gendai haven't had a planet for a few thousand years. And there weren't many of them left . They were essentially immortal unless they decided to negate their own healing factor. Even in old age it just took longer for the cells to reform.
Yeah but I don’t know if the comics clone wars are a continuity of this since the end of the 2nd volume shows anakin and obi wan going in battle for Coruscant.I know the battle of Hypori was mentioned but again for dirge maybe he was killed shortly after anakin was made jedi knight
This also puts a LOT of context as to why the Council was concerned about making Anakin a Master - not just because the man himself was unorthodox, but he only finished his Padawan-to-Knight requisite Trial of the Mirror DAYS BEFOREHAND AT MOST. And they all emphasize, his skills were never the part in doubt. He hadn't had the time to properly go through the mental training. You see both ends of the argument getting addressed at the start of Part 2, by Mundi and 'Curly Claws.' It's a tightly written bridge between films, and I think it's a way stronger watch than 3D Clone Wars.
The Bounty Hunter who Obi-Wan was fighting in part 1 is named Durge, he is of the race Gen’Dai, an ancient and rare species in the Galaxy, they are remarkably hard to kill and can live thousands of years. In fact in the moment Obi blows him apart he isn’t even dead, he is just slowly forming back together. He is eventually killed by Anakin forcing him into an escape pod and shooting it into a nearby star. Boba Fett has a big problem when he shows up in the Boba Fett short novels as Durge has a strong hatred of any Mandalorian. That race is basically a race of Deadpools. Also the Revenge of the Sith game has a Vader play through and you can fight the younglings.

The fights in this show where just epic. And force abilities are at their best. The best part, is how good this mini series show us how Anakin slowly falls to the dark side and his relationship with Padme. This is peak star wars and should be considered canon
C3P0 showing off his new sexy look has been my Steam account pic for like 15 years. It aint never gonna change. I remember laughing so hard that I almost blacked out cuz I couldnt catch my breath. 😂
The old Legends lore state that the curved hilt sabers do fit better in the hand, allowing for superior force in Dookus more fencing like one handed fighting style. But they were also useful for duel wielders, one per hand. The slight angle also threw off peoples defense, the attack didnt match up to the hand movement people observed.
What I loved about this show was that it wasn't just entertaining. It told a relatively concise story so that you understand everything you need to know before Episode III. Almost no unneeded fluff added in for fan service or to pad out the number of episodes.
I love that Obi-Wan sees this bounty hunter leading a bunch of jousters to tear through his tanks, and immediately goes "Alright, I'm game." and tells his guys to start jousting too.
In reference to the question about why some clones are better than others...at least when it comes to the ARC Troopers, those clones were personally trained by Jango Fett. They are far more creative, independent, and deadly than your average clone trooper (who were already amazing combat troops). The only one that was closer to the original than them was Boba, Jango's son.
The ARCs were trained by a Mandalorian, generally. In most cases, it was Jango. Some of them, like Omega Squad and the Null-class, were trained by Kal Skirata. Fun weird EU geneology thing: Kal Skirata's grandson would end up marrying Boba Fett's granddaughter.
@@passingrando6457To specify, the original 100 Alpha ARCs were trained by Jango Fett with minimal behavioral alterations. So characters like Alpha, Fordo, & the like. They were especially ruthless & ready to make sacrifices. Clones in general were trained mostly by Mandalorians. Omega & Null were not ARC troopers but commandos & the failed null class respectively.
The clones in the beginning are ARC troopers. The red one (Captain Fordo Alpha-77) and the two blue ones (lieutenants) are Alpha class ARC troopers. They are the second generation of ARC troopers and were trained directly by Jango Fett himself, meaning the are some of the best around, besides the Null ARC troopers (the first generation of ARC troopers, only 6 of those were successfully made, but that's another rabbit hole). This show used to be a part of the old Star Wars canon (which is now called Legends or the EU) before Disney took over.
In legends The kaminoians made different breeds/variants of clones for different roles. There were Generic clones, Commander, Commando and Nulls. The Nulls are in the Clone commando books. They are described as "Raw Jango." The "Null 2.0" became the ARC troopers. In Disney Canon, Clones that showed promise during training were removed from their battalions and given officer training or other training. Much like actual militaries.
“If Qui Gon hadn’t died, would things have gone differently?” YES! If he was around during RotS Qui Gon Jin would’ve kept Anakin from falling. It has been stated that he was the only one who could by the creators Also, it would be AWESOME if you could react to Samurai Jack!
If Qui-Gon didn't die in Episode 1. He would've been Anakin's master. In this what if scenario Anakin would've learned to trust The will of the force. In this scenario I don't even see how Anakin falls to the dark side. Qui-Gon's teachings would've given Anakin the tools to see through Palpatine's manipulation. I also think Mace Windu would've been a great master for Anakin. I think Anakin needs a hard-ass no bullshit kind of master to lessen his worse tendencies. Anakin could've learned how to control and focus his emotions. Eventually, he'd learn Vaapad.
That’s why the fight between Obi wan, Qui gon and maul was called the “duel of fates” because anakins fate would be different depending on who won. If Obi wan would have died instead anakin never would have turned to the dark side. This was stated by George himself. He said that Qui gon was fighting for Anakin.
Although I like Anakin from the Movies. Because unlike Luke who grows and matures... Anakin in each movie gets crazier and crazier and gets closer to the Dark Side, although he doesn't want to be bad, sadly he has to do it because he knows he has no choice... he's already done enough Crimes and Know that there is no turning back. But the Anakin of the 2003 and 2008 Series was always the Era where the Character was at his Best Moment. A Hero who was growing, but at the same time you could tell he wasn't well... The Dark Side was always in him, and it didn't matter if he wanted to deny it... he knew it was true. ... Although that Yes... Anakin from the Novels I consider to be the Maximum Peak of the Character xf
The entire scene of Windu fist-fighting an army of B2 battle droids goes so unfathomably hard that it cannot be recreated, I dare somebody to try to recreate the sheer badassery of that sequence. The only other scene that can rival it is Grievous' introduction.
I'll never forget my shock when I first heard that, went and looked it up, and then proceeded to lose my shit laughing. Been years since that happened and I still remember the feeling that much deep soul cleansing full body laughter gave me.
Genndy Tartakovsky is one of my favorite creators of all time. Samurai Jack, this and Primal. Such a masterclass in visual story telling where dialog is minimally needed and it's still an amazing story
Yes, Samurai Jack is a lot like this, you would probably enjoy it. For that matter, I would recommend Star Wars Visions, it has a lot of different styles, and a lot of cool stories.
In the RotS novelization, Anakin makes his way through the Chancellor’s office and finds Fisto’s grinning head on Palpatine’s desk; would have been even darker, but amazing to have kept that in the movie.
Waited the entire video to see their reaction to Fordo's badass 1-man stand only for them to talk over it, miss it and orgasm of another over-the-top Yoda feat...
I actually watched this series for the first time a few years ago and I was blown away by it! - The story is great and transitions near flawlessly into Revenge of the Sith. - The action is awesome and there's so much of it! - Character interactions between Obi-Wan and Anakin during the second half are pretty fun to watch. - Grievous is a beast! Like that scene of him battle Ki-Adi Mundi and the other Jedi was insane! - The Jedi Council scene actually makes it feel like a council. Like in every other movie or show where the council is on screen it always seems like it's only 2 or 3 people talking. Here, nearly everyone on the council gets a voice line and there is actual discussion between members. I honestly wish we got to see more of that but eh, what can you do. A do have a few nitpicks: - I'm a bit mixed on some of the character designs (Windu and Palpatine in particular), though the overall art style and animation still look amazing - While the action is badass, there are a few moments that seem a bit over the top like WIndu karate chopping droids with his bare hands or him driving a droid fighter by ripping into its wiring. Badass, sure but like a bit much IMO. But none of that comes even close to ruining this version of the Clone Wars for me, this show is awesome!
"If they would've just accepted him, would he have turned out different?" The problem is that it doesn't really change the circumstances of his turn or why he did. His mom still dies he still finds her just before death. He still marries padme she still gets pregnant he still wouldn't talk about it except to maybe, and that's a big maybe, Kenobi. All of which still inevitably leads to his decision. Of which he still chooses himself as he did when that choice was presented to him.
The thing that I love about this version of Clone Wars is how they do justice to General Grevious by making him an actual Jedi killer and a precursor to Darth Vader. One thing I hate about the 3D Clone Wars is they did Grevious dirty by making him whiney, pathetic, and incompetent.
@@rvds2040 Just because Lucas wanted him to be the mustache twirling, “I’ll get you next time,” Saturday morning villain doesn’t take away how gutted he was. Well let's be honest here, this was made before Lucas had finalized Grevious. And we know the origins of Star Wars are heavily inspired by Flash Gordan. It should not surprise anyone that most villains have that mustache twirling flair to them. It's just more restrained because other writers were more involved in episodes 4-6.

Fun fact: Fordo (the Red ARC trooper captain) was forcibly pulled from the frontlines by Palpatine because he was literally acing every single mission they sent him on. He was too good at his job 💀
That's not true at all. All we know about Fordo is that: - He was one of the 100 Alpha ARCs (Alpha-77) - He present for and the battle of Muunilinst, mission to Hypori, and battle of Coruscant - He led a unit of ARCs known as the Muunilinst 10 - He was awarded the Chancellor's Service Medal for his heroics during Hypori but he instead had it transferred and awarded posthumously to the one member of his squad to die on Muunilinst That's it, that's literally all the official information there is on Fordo. There was never anything on him being pulled from the front for being too effective.
I remember being a kid watching this show. The wolf man Jedi was actually a community voted character out of three to make a camio in the show. You could go online and put your vote in for the show. All of this was a hype/lead up into Episode III. I remember leaving the movie theature being sad, because I thought that there would never be any more Star Wars Movies.
The 2d version felt like a lore accurate version of the events between episodes 2 and 3 then the actual 3d clone wars with James Arnold and matt lantern.
12:46 that is actually a real thing they are called solar sails. Solar sails are a method of spacecraft propulsion using radiation pressure exerted by sunlight on large surfaces. The first spacecraft to make use of the technology was IKAROS, launched in 2010.
@@AceBountyHunterRex It changes a TON of stuff to benefit popular characters exclusive to the show at the time that undo a lot of concepts that the movies themselves set, like Anakin being the 21st Jedi to leave the Order, but now there's 2 more because we had to have his Padawan live through Order 66. Clones don't do what their told because their entire lives are built around it, they have computer chips in their brain that just overwrite all thought and process instead of them actually thinking, eliminating the entire concept of clones being superior to droids because they can think.

By the way, this Micro-series has my favorite and preferred Version of General Grievous, which by the way, this was the Grievous we were introduced to before the Third Movie, I let you think about that on your own, really wish this could’ve been the more definitive version overall.
People have already said, but I'll join in. The clones that had colourful armour plus that kilt or skirt-like cover (called a kama) and behaved differently were Advanced Recon Commando (ARC) Troopers. These were clones given more advanced training by Jango Fett himself to make them more independent and quick-thinking. In the case of Captain Fordo shown in this cartoon (the red one with dual pistols), the guy was a one-man army even if alone. And this isn't even mentioning the even more powerful Null-Class ARCs.
The regenerating dude that Obi-Wan couldn't kill is named Dirge. And he was part of a nearly extinct race of beings who could basically regenerate from anything. It took him being chucked into a star to kill him. Another race of aliens with plot armor are the Whiphids. The big hairy guy General Grievous cut down on Hypori? That was K'Kruhk. A Whipid. And he would survive his nearly fatal injuries by entering a deep healing coma. He would go on to survive Order 66, the reign of the Galactic Empire, an extra-galactic invasion by murderous aliens who use bio-mechanical ships and weapons and killed trillions of people, and a second Galactic Empire ruled by a Sith lord named Darth Krayt. Who has his own insane story.
I know a lot don’t agree, but I love this version of the clone wars more than the 3D series. There’s something about the Genndy Tartakovsky Art Style that really works with the Star Wars universe.
This is where a lot of peoples love for Windu started. In the canon (which has changed a few times mind you) he uses a form of fighting known as Vaapad where he channels his passions into physical attacks just as much as force attacks, much like a sith would. The form is banned from the jedi order because it brings the user so close to the edge of the dark side. This was also at one time an explaination for his purple lightsaber, that he fought with both the light and dark sides and his sword reflected that duality and restraint. Fun fact, Dooku is so good against lightsaber users like ventress (and obi and anakin in the movies) because he also uses a, not forbidden, but frowned upon lightsaber combat form. His form specializes in fighting sword to sword where most other forms focus on fighting projectiles, blasters and other weapons. It was frowned upon, because with the sith in hiding for a thousand years, the only use for that form would normally be fighting other jedi. And, why would you need to fight jedi unless you were doing bad things.
1:01:03 This right here is my favorite shot in all of film. The field of stars being up there, and as Sasee Tiin flies his ship up to the stars, we see that they're not stars---they're ships. No battle of that scale has *ever* been portrayed in Star Wars, before or since. PEAK
For some fun Star Wars history, The bounty hunter that fight Obi-Wan in the first part, Durge, is the same species as Rayvis from Jedi Survivor and the species, the Gen’Dai, are named after the shows director Genndy Tartakovsky
THE OG Plenty clunky here and there, but I LOVE seeing Jedi and the conflicts brought more in line with lore. As a kid, before going to see ROTS, I was so dang hyped, watching these every week and talking with my buddies, sharing comics, and wondering how it was all gonna come to it's end. Man I miss classic Clone wars. In the OG canon, you could literally track the ENTIRE Clone Wars nearly day by day, if to week by week, through the entire conflict. HIGHLY recommend reading the old Clone wars content. Clone Wars/Republic Dark Horse comics, four main tie-in novels, Republic Commando (goes CRAZY, plus Karen Traviss literally invented the Mandalorian language and most of the lore we knew about "modern day" Mandalore before the Disney retcons), MedStar and some others I can't really place off the dome or from my shelf lol As to how clones can be stronger than others, it used to be explained that some clones were far closer to pure humans than others. -Basic clone troopers had a very diluted genome of Jango and were given generic flash-training paired with combat sims. -Officers were bred for high intelligence while heavily augmenting their anger/generally flattening their emotional states, and were often largely the same as a regular trooper given actual, proper training as well as higher quality educations. -Commandos and their many offshoots were as pure as they could get to Jango while still having that signature hint of loyalty and conformity bred into the lesser clones. These guys were trained by a mix of about half Mandalorians on Jango's request, but also by assorted other warriors and mercenaries of note from across the galaxy, all agreeing to cut ties with EVERYONE in their lives in order to take up the ten year commitment of training the commandos. Notably different for Commandos, they go through live-fire training rather than combat sims as the Kaminoians only want the very best of the best to be featured in this force being sold to the Republic. They also have insanely powerful armor that a Mandalorian of the modern age can only drool at if they aren't a wealthy or very old clan, as while beskar can block lightsabers and Katarn-class Commando armor cannot, it's so worth looking into Katarn armor, it's almost Master Chief levels of nutty for Star Wars. -ARC Troopers were pure, raw Jango Fett with the slightest touch on his sense of loyalty and intense training geared towards maintaining that loyalty whilst structuring them into the perfect special operations soldiers. -Null-ARC's were a genetic experimental squad when the Kaminoians tried to make Jango+, with zero behavioral alterations and all the ARC/Commando genetic enhancements. After nearly being put down in the very early years of the cloning process for being so unpredictable and roguish, one of the Mando trainers ends up taking them in as sons and training them before his Commandos are old enough to undergo their own training. They go on to become spec-ops meets CIA spook, they go aroudn the galaxy on secretive and unsanctioned missions, the Republic largely just sighing and accepting the bill because of the results and intelligence they gather. They also catch onto the sketchy stuff going on in the war and later Order 66 before it kicks off, but are too late overall to do much other than secure their few friends and those they care about while abandoning the Republic. -Lastly, there's Boba, a 100% unaltered version of Jango complete without any advanced aging processes, left to fend for himself at around 12 by the time AOC happens if memory serves right (Jango was scouted and won over by the prospect of a perfect genetic son even before Sifo Dyas requisitioned the Clone army)

"How are some clones better than other clones?"
Legends actually has an answer for that.
@@1.-ulysses334 and with Jango's death, it was hard to maintain the Fett DNA sample.
I don't know why they didn't just assume that some just got better training or was better bred. Do these guys not know how a military works?
A detail I like is that when Shaak Ti gets ahold of one of the droid staff weapons... Notice how they are suddenly doing a lot worse at protecting themselves against her strikes? The droids are Programmed for anti-lightsaber combat. Clearly they missed programming them for how to fight/counter attacks from their own staff weapons and they are having to fall back on some generic combat protocols that just arent a match for a jedi swinging said staff. Hence why they suddenly start getting hit all over the place.
Notice also how they get a bit better again once she gets the saber back?

Fun fact. The reason why the song playing during fight between Darth Maul, Obi Wan and Qui-Gon is called "Duel of the fates" is because that singular fight decided fate of Anakin Skywalker and in turn the fate of the galaxy.

That is the nerdiest shit I've ever heard.........and I LOVE it.
This applies to starship energy weapons also, they have an "effective range" after which the energy begins to dissipate and the "shot" will eventually fizzle out.
I could’ve sworn the blaster bolts were powered up by tibanna gas
@@youwayo right, Tibana Gas, that’s then turned into plasma and shot out of the barrel. But Tibana has certain properties that make it uniquely suited, it’s why they cant use abundant gases like helium or hydrogen. If I remember correctly Tibana is a very special type of gas that only comes from certain gas giants in certain solar systems. It’s why Lando was so rich, Cloud City harnessed and processed clouds of Tibana from the plant they hovered above (hence the name).

40:00 - Ah, poor ol' padawan Sha'a Gi. If only they'd had some Skoobii Snaqs for him... he could have made it...
You see both ends of the argument getting addressed at the start of Part 2, by Mundi and 'Curly Claws.'
It's a tightly written bridge between films, and I think it's a way stronger watch than 3D Clone Wars.

“If Qui Gon hadn’t died, would things have gone differently?”
YES! If he was around during RotS Qui Gon Jin would’ve kept Anakin from falling. It has been stated that he was the only one who could by the creators
Also, it would be AWESOME if you could react to Samurai Jack!

A do have a few nitpicks:
- I'm a bit mixed on some of the character designs (Windu and Palpatine in particular), though the overall art style and animation still look amazing
- While the action is badass, there are a few moments that seem a bit over the top like WIndu karate chopping droids with his bare hands or him driving a droid fighter by ripping into its wiring. Badass, sure but like a bit much IMO.
But none of that comes even close to ruining this version of the Clone Wars for me, this show is awesome!
I love watching people discover the raw badassery that is the ARC troopers for the first time.
"If they would've just accepted him, would he have turned out different?"

- He led a unit of ARCs known as the Muunilinst 10

This Micro-series was my official Introduction to Star Wars, so i really appreciate that you did a Reaction to this, because i feel like most people seem to not even be aware of this First Version and is more familiar with the Newer 3D Version that’s more of a Full-on Show,
Speaking of which, did you react to this Clone Wars Micro-series Before or After you Started The Clone Wars Show?
By the way, this Micro-series has my favorite and preferred Version of General Grievous, which by the way, this was the Grievous we were introduced to before the Third Movie, I let you think about that on your own,
really wish this could’ve been the more definitive version overall.
They started the micro series before the 3D.
@@mimic1984 I see.
@@lukescrew1981 oh, in what way? I was under the impression that it was pretty well received.
@@lukescrew1981 unfortunately for you then,
What did you not like about it?
@@lukescrew1981 oh, care to elaborate.
If we're poking around in now non-canon prequel content, highly recommend the game Republic Commando
Well, Delta Squad specifically is canon, so their game is canon too as a result.
25:17 one of my fav parts
“That’s not one of ours”
“No general”
“THAT WAS ANAKIN”
“Yes general”
I can't wait for the 3D Clone Wars reaction series. Make sure to watch in chronological order for the best viewing experience.
The bald white one with the blue and green lightsabers is Asajj Ventress from The Clone Wars.
I personally love this more then the 3D Clone Wars! I love both but this one is just SO GOOD!!!
I know a lot don’t agree, but I love this version of the clone wars more than the 3D series. There’s something about the Genndy Tartakovsky Art Style that really works with the Star Wars universe.
This is where the fun begins... (finally)
Im so glad you started with the 2003 one, there are some elements they just capture better. Like Grievous for instance
This is what i grew up with. It started me on Star Wars and is GOATED
Red Clone is genuinely one of my favorite Star Wars characters, he reminds me of OT Boba a bit.
This is the peak of Star wars action, it literally does not get better then this. Enjoy boys!!!!!
20:26 Nobody directs as BADASS as Genndy Tartakovsky. so no
1:01:03 This right here is my favorite shot in all of film.
I don't care what anyone says; This is the canonical version of Clone Wars imo
“This is where the fun begins!!”
THE OG
Plenty clunky here and there, but I LOVE seeing Jedi and the conflicts brought more in line with lore.
Clone Wars/Republic Dark Horse comics, four main tie-in novels, Republic Commando (goes CRAZY, plus Karen Traviss literally invented the Mandalorian language and most of the lore we knew about "modern day" Mandalore before the Disney retcons), MedStar and some others I can't really place off the dome or from my shelf lol
As to how clones can be stronger than others, it used to be explained that some clones were far closer to pure humans than others.

God I love you Boom lol 💜
POV: The droids start listening to the nightcore version of “Stamp on the Ground”
28:08 Also, Hoarah Loux’s Earthshaker is nothing compared to this 🤣🤣
The name of the Padawan who looks like Shaggy is literally "Sha'a Gi".
Yesss this this right here was my child hood!. It’s still so clean! Still holds up also the fights and everything was good!. Reminded me a lot of samurai Jack!. Like ventress vs Anakin fight through the jungle. Of course gg was my favorite villain in this seires!. Also I loved speeder spikes parts and of course mace window just boxing supers!.
Not sure on the science of plasma or whatever laser bullets are made from, but I think space would have a lot of elements in it that would eventual degrade the laser, or the laser would just fizzle out if it didn’t hit something.
Both this show and the 2008 CGI clone wars is amazing
51:37 He said a "Bob Ross Jedi" LMFAO!!!!! 🤣🤣🤣 Let's add a happy little lightsaber here...
"Force the devil out of these droid armies."
General Grievous in basically the Star Wars equivalent to Dracula
I lost it when they saw Kit Fisto for the first time. The timing was impeccable!
