Hauntingly beautiful, a wonderful tribute to them.
Most of them never wanted to be soldiers, sailors or airmen. They were bakers, policemen, carpenters etc. Just ordinary men called up to do unbelievable things, and to see the most hideous sights.
Kill or be killed, so far away from their families and friends. Rest in peace our heroes.

My great uncle died in WW1 aged 25. He is buried in France. Thank you for this wonderful tribute to those that have fallen.
