FYI Toyota/ confirmed the Ground Clearance for the OT is 9.22 VS 8.6 for the non OT models. Yes it is a bit higher due to Toyo off road tires and the EKDDS makes it smidge higher too.
Looks like I was able to watch this video through the MIcah drives playlist even though its unlisted. Not sure if you want it to be viewable yet so I thought I would just comment and let you know.
Hi Micah I love all your video. What happen to KBB video I never see you there. And also I was wondering for the next future video can you do with you and Lyn Woodward. Because I like lyn Woodward. Thanks.
As the wife commented, the rear looks good but the front grill especially the lower portion reminds me of design engineers who are running out of idea or simply talent-less.
It's a very handsome vehicle but for that price I expected to see a more premium looking interior. It just looks like a well put together interior but not a luxury/premium one. Also, why didn't it dawn on me that Evie is short for Evelyn? 😂😂😂
Sure, your daughter has outgrown car seats but since the channel sort of specializes in 'family reviews' of vehicles it would be nice to know for sure if a rear-facing car seat actually fits in the 'family vehicles' you test. Thanks for listening.
Imagine it the base started at 50k then top be 65k then this would sell so fast. Unfortunately tariffs will be raised next year in which making some models even more expensive 😢
I’ve ridden in it, the materials actually feel high end but durable it does not at all feel like a plastic fantastic vibe. It feel similar to my friends defender interior materials. I’d suggest atleast riding in it before making such strong points. 😊
I would be so nervous taking something that expensive off road. Then again, is someone really going to do that? Would love to see the Lexus internal data on that.
I love the exterior design and the new infotainment system. However, the interior is full of plastic. It would be the perfect SUV if they replaced some plastics with leather, wood, or metal.
Ride in it, it’s not at all plastic cheap vibe. It all feels durable and high end like a defenders materials honestly. Definitely hold your judgement till you take a ride.
Always love your family reviews. I like Lexus, but this thing is not an attractive vehicle. Looks like a minivan in the back. When I hear “luxury SUV” I think what old school (and new) Navigators and Escalades were like. All these manufacturers try to make the most money possible instead of making certain cars for certain things. Make the Toyota for going off road. Make the Lexus for taking your friends to a classy dinner. So when they make these luxury SUVs more rugged, it totally takes away from the intended purpose of the luxury car. I’m glad Lincoln or Cadillac doesn’t do this crap. They let their brand counterparts handle the other tasks like off-roading and towing. I miss the days of finding all the nicer options in the more expensive luxury version. Now all the stuff in a car that was once for the luxury brand/model is now in the base model. Like automatic headlights in a Lincoln back in the day. Now you get that on a $20,000 entry level car.
Your review doesn’t make sense lol you had such negative things to say about the Land Cruiser, but then like this one. You dogged the gx460, yet like this one. This is the first time in history that Toyota /Lexus brought the exact same car (Prado) over to both brands (with different styling and egine), yet you fawn over the Lexus 550 version. I own all three: gx460, GX 550, and a LC250. Your reviews miss the mark so bad on these, I understand that it’s entertainment, but it’s hard to watch reviews lately with such silly feedback… maybe the audience is for people who will never buy one, I don’t know. I was just here cause it looked like mine :-) Love the family dynamic and engagement though, that alone made me subscribe!
One big difference between the Land Cruiser and the GX we tested (besides zero parts breaking off in our hands) is the adaptive variable suspension. AVS would help explain why our GX tester drove more confidently on our winding mountain roads than the LC. I'd be interested to hear whether your GX has the adaptive dampers. As for the GX 460, you're right, it underwhelmed us with its super dated powertrain, technology, and road manners. I'm not sure why you're surprised we're more receptive to the all-new GX. The items that need improving...have been improved. 🤷♂️
I implore you to ride in it , your take about the materials will change. The materials are durable and feel high end like a defenders interior. Definitely take a ride first before judgement
Kiddo is no longer much of a tiny Kiddo (Child seat, booster, etc.)🥲Killing me smalls! You can tell she looks at cars differently 👩🏫👍Soon she’ll ask you and the Mrs….”How easy was it to get into the back seat pops? Does the window go all the way down?” I’d probably respond with snarky & sarcastic “Maybe?!”
Micah, love your reviews, but you are a short guy, those seats that come 3in from your knee, are nearly 6in from the knee on tall folks in the 6'3 or taller arena. Which puts the seat pressure point nearly mid thigh, that equates to legs being numb on long drives. Also, the interior on a luxury SUV is really cheap looking compared to the multi-color and textured previous generation.

Loud and clear Micah 😂👍

Evie with the professor farnsworth impression.
The looks alone sold me. getting premium plus Eminent white pearl with saddle tan interior waiting patiently 😊

Hey Micah, Are the flying eyes available with prescription lenses? Cheers, Jim
What about Lexus TX?
I like that the interior isn’t luxurious, people don’t have to be gentle and it gives the GX more neutral appeal.
This is one good looking vehicle!

Def prefer the Lexus but needs better quality interior. The last gens interior quality was way better
I hope for 84k you get that Mark Lavison sound system
Nice ride for sure. But I’d take my LX570 with my 18” EVO corse wheels and open country tires over this every day
The "sand" color makes this look more manly than I would have thought

Way too much cheap material for a vehicle so expensive

Man get out yo phone and go down to the Lexus dealer... Goooo 😅
It’s more rugged less soft for a reason
I looked at one last week. The interior is just too dark and dour, even with light color option. It’s not a nice place to spend much time on the road.
Why didn't you show the engine?
15:11 is that a UFO on the sky? A round unidentified flying object quickly appears and disappears

I definitely will but waiting for 2025. Will not buy any new model no matter who makes it.😊
No panoramic roof?
Only on luxury plus models
Compare against the Bronco.
