It's crazy how many people Overlook the break-in process. What I love is when someone gets a brand-new Nitro takes it straight home fills the tank and let it rip 100% full-throttle out the gate then after a month or so they're selling that same rig advertised as like new only ran a few times but needs a tune, asking damn near shelf price 😫😫. I got burnt like that so many times when I first got into the The Hobby to the point where it about ruent the Nitro side of the hobby for me so since then it's gave me a different outlook on like new used nitro's.

If you want to get an accurate reading of what the engines temperature is you'll want to take the infrared gun and stick the actual sensor, not the laser because that's not the sensor, directly into the top pointing at the glow plug. You can sit the body of the infrared gun on top of the cooling head to get it as close as possible. I think you'll find that the engine is actually running quite a bit warmer than you think it is by looking at the fins on the side

Hi mate I finally did it I sold my Traxxas mini e-revo vxl witch had a lot of money spent on it I did love it I got £325 for it put the money for the Savage x 4.6 yes I'm going back to nitro can't bring myself to sell my Traxxas rustler vxl because it is an absolute monster to much power 4.6 looks quick enough have a lovely Christmas 🌲🎄

Even though I didn’t buy an HPI, your overview of the recommended break in process was very helpful for a beginner like me. I have heard of people heating the head during break in which doesn’t seem like it’s recommended by HPI, or by Traxxas. I will follow the method shown in this video. Thanks again.
Hey bro! I'm glad you found my explanation of the basic BREAK-IN conditions and requirements useful. Everybody seems to claim they know best and it gets quite confusing. What really matters are the amount of heat cycles you do. On average I do about 8 to 10 heat cycles which takes about 4 to 5 tanks of fuel, as recommended by HPI..Any questions always feel free to ask, this is what I'm here for bro!!

Why is the rear body mount so high? They made the body shell sit WAY higher than the rear bumper. So there another mount to make the body more level with the front? Anyway, I've been looking forward to this video, thanks for the great content, Hybrid!
hey bro! Good observation there. Turns out I did not raise the front body mount when recording this video, I have since raised it ONE notch, but there are 2 more position left to raise if needed. If you want more speed I recommend you install a taller clutch bell, that will be the easiest and fastest way to get some more speed for you my dude. NitroGang!.

Its a lot of plastic bro. Plastic shocks, on something that big? they call it Nylon to try an church it up. Do you smell what I am cooking? Smells like plastic. When its cooler like now you should wrap the head in tin foil or a rag to allow it to heat up to the correct cycle temp. You want to get over 200.

hey bro! Thanks for watching, and great question! So the Force R36 is the same displacement as the HPI K5.9 engine, used in the XL models. I dont see why you would have any problems. It all comes down to how hard you bash it, and how heavy your throttle finger is, lol. . The stock pipe is fine, if you want a metal one, it's totally possible, but this one is already a duel chamber tuned pipe. The fact that it's a composite material is meaningless really. hey man, I can 100% confirm that the bodies are fully interchangeable yes. Most of the parts are also identical, Actually I would say just about all of them, it's literally almost the same truck with only a few various updates.

15% is usually recommended with special break in fuel. Comes with more additives and oils for proper lubrication break in. How do you compare it to the kyosho 3 speed ?

Anyway, about the break in, did you see all that EXCESS oil I had at the end coming from the pipe?? that was tons of oil, I really dont think you need more oil than that for a normal break in period on a engine of this sort. Anyway, what matters is not overheating and doing a good amount of heat cycles, these basics apply to all nitro motors. I'll be comparing it to the USA-1 soon. Right now it's all about the savage!!!
hey bro! yes the R5 is fine, but check out the A8 plug, it's cheaper and still a good short body medium heat range plug. I've run even the traxxas plugs in many other nitros, all similar.
Im considering to get the same engine for my mp7.5 the gxr28 is toast, is it okay if I lets say run 1st and 2nd tank out, and go fill up my batteries or whatever and run the 3rd and 4th tank the other day?

hey buddy! How you doing! Thanks for watching! I have since adjusted the way the body sits a little bit. This truck has adjustable body posts so you can somewhat control that. In this video it was just positioned in that way, also I installed the rear roll cage - Head protector so that caused a slight adjustment to the rear of the body position too.

i always use an engine heater and make sure it gets up to full temp, this helps the engine have better compression when its hot!

FYI when taking temps always inside the glowplug hole cavity not on sides they can vary too much :) 2 speed baby!

hey my dude! thanks for checking out this video. There are 3-speed transmission for older style savage 4.6 models. I can almost guarantee you they will fit this model savage as well. If you want more speed I recommend you install a taller clutch bell, that will be the easiest and fastest way to get some more speed for you my dude. NitroGang!.

Its a lot of plastic bro. Plastic shocks, on something that big? they call it Nylon to try an church it up. Do you smell what I am cooking? Smells like plastic. When its cooler like now you should wrap the head in tin foil or a rag to allow it to heat up to the correct cycle temp. You want to get over 200.

hey bro! Thanks for watching, and great question! So the Force R36 is the same displacement as the HPI K5.9 engine, used in the XL models. I dont see why you would have any problems. It all comes down to how hard you bash it, and how heavy your throttle finger is, lol. . The stock pipe is fine, if you want a metal one, it's totally possible, but this one is already a duel chamber tuned pipe. The fact that it's a composite material is meaningless really. hey man, I can 100% confirm that the bodies are fully interchangeable yes. Most of the parts are also identical, Actually I would say just about all of them, it's literally almost the same truck with only a few various updates.

15% is usually recommended with special break in fuel. Comes with more additives and oils for proper lubrication break in. How do you compare it to the kyosho 3 speed ?
hey bro! thanks for checking out the most SICKENING new truck of 2021 bro! Anyway, about the break in, did you see all that EXCESS oil I had at the end coming from the pipe?? that was tons of oil, I really dont think you need more oil than that for a normal break in period on a engine of this sort. Anyway, what matters is not overheating and doing a good amount of heat cycles, these basics apply to all nitro motors. I'll be comparing it to the USA-1 soon. Right now it's all about the savage!!!

hey bro! yes the R5 is fine, but check out the A8 plug, it's cheaper and still a good short body medium heat range plug. I've run even the traxxas plugs in many other nitros, all similar.

hey buddy! How you doing! Thanks for watching! I have since adjusted the way the body sits a little bit. This truck has adjustable body posts so you can somewhat control that. In this video it was just positioned in that way, also I installed the rear roll cage - Head protector so that caused a slight adjustment to the rear of the body position too.
So they sorted out everything except the fuel tank......sigh.

Hello buddy. This model does not have reverse. The only rtr nitro truck you could buy today with reverse is a traxxas revo.
