We have a Deacon in our Parish, his preaching is so profound. I've always wondered what the difference is between him and the Parish's priests. Thank you for sharing your insight on the life of a Deacon. ❤From a Catholic in India.
Last evening I received more than 22 videos on TH-cam promoting becoming a deacon in the Roman Catholic tradition. As an ordained minister in the PC USA and female I found the whole promotion odd. And then this afternoon this one shows up. Perhaps the Roman Catholic Church in the United States should invest in a in a legitimate marketing campaign increase their numbers in the Roman Catholic diaconate. Sending out an overload of rambling Deacons doesn't seem to effective. Needless to say there are over emphasis on men needing to be married in order to be considered is amusing to this ordained female pastor. We all know the nuns do all the work in the RC anyway.
You know TH-cam uses algorithms to determine what advertising is sent to you, and it's not the RC Church that's expending the effort to flood you specifically with their videos? Perhaps you should recall what searches you have made online in order to determine the reason for the videos you received? Well anyway, it is now certain the Internet is not guided by the Holy Spirit, otherwise there would not have been any attempt to recruit you into being a deacon, or even a nun... For effective service in God's Kingdom, first our Lord Jesus Christ has to heal the chip on your shoulder, and the Holy Spirit needs to enlightened and transform your heart. Congrats though, for being some sort of an agent for good... After being a protestant for 49 years of my life, it was folks with attitudes like yours and clergy with political agendas rather than God's calling, that I have become a Roman Catholic. Your kind has helped me become what God intended all along! So ummm...thanks!
