I am separated from my wife for 10 years and have no children. I am 48 years old. Is I qualified to be a deacon? I am now serving God as a Eucharistic holy communion minister for 20 years.I wish i can study theology to nourish my faith and self enrichment to dogma's and doctrine of the church. I pray God preserve me in serving Him in the remaining of my life🙏🙏
Your videos have been helpful and interesting. My struggle now is discerning whether this interest I have is from true calling or a prideful zeal for accomplishment. Please pray for me as I never want to bring shame to the Church with arrogant posturing.
i was recently baptized this easter vigil, my wife isn't catholic, but i have had the feeling to be a deacon through the RCIA process as well as the deacon and RCIA director both asked me if I would be interested. This is a great video
Brother, I am in a similar boat. Although my wife was born a Catholic, she is not a dedicated one. I have felt a pull toward the deaconate. I am hesitant, because of several personal circumstances. I think I need to pray more, and bring all of it to the Lord. I have no doubt He will make it clear to me, or will light the way. I will pray for you, and your journey. I ask you pray for mine! God bless you, and may He illuminate all those things He desires for you!
@ServusDei74 I will pray, it seems to me that the world is constantly trying to get in the way of getting to know Christ. I just remember in John's gospel when he says that Jesus will abide in us. Hopefully we can ponder on this great mystery and become closer to God
Today at the Church gift shop I wanted to choose a medal. I generally go with St Jude. But essence moved my eyes to St Francis. I took my St Francis medal got it blessed. By the way I am a Knight of Columbus. Anywho I feel so proud with my blessed medal. Now what I feel and Think. At the end of Mass the Father Carlos mentions vocations and he mentioned Deaconship… lately I’ve been reading on St Stephen ❤️❤️❤️. I felt moved. Spoke with my wife about it. She says pray about it!! I’m 44 on May 9. Please pray for me.
Both of you are very blessed i want to be a deacon but i am sinner and i told my self i can not be a deacon i am unwanted by the way i lost two times decon ordering ceremony and i think the reason is i am a sinner and un wanted man

Hi Deacon. Would you recommended talking to your pastor first before calling the vocations office? I'm feeling called to the diaconate, but am very nervous that once I make that call or have that talk there is no going back..

I’m only 30 and I’ve felt the call. I still have 5 years to keep learning about my faith and keep praying the Lord to do His will in my life 🙏

You have to get a letter of recommendation from your pastor expressing your intent.
I brought it to God and he brought me to the KoC, and now I think he wants me to become a Deacon or a Priest. Would love some advice.
