I'm a NixOS man myself, but arch is fantastic! Very clean, very customizable, stable, and gaming is great too... enjoy

Never heard of NixOS sounds like another video series!? I will have to look into the gaming aspect of it as it does receive updates regularly! It is really clean I played with the Deepin OS desktop environment and it was clean and fast, thanks so much for watching and have a great day!

I installed endeavour OS to install arch easier, I removed the endeavour OS and now it's basically just linux

I love Linux it is just cool and you can really learn a lot, thanks so much for watching and you should make a video about that!

@sherrilltechnology I only fully switched to linux since w11 came out, and I was using Fedora. On Saturday, I decided to install arch but didn't have a lot of time so I got endeavour OS which is basically arch but with endeavour repos where they have some apps to help you with arch stuff. I removed their repo, and now its basically arch. Don't forget to sudo pacman -Syu ;)
At first, I had around 1000 packages. After installing all my needed packages, I have around 1400 of them. I wish I had time to experience the arch installation by myself, but I am fine with this as well. You still need to install some packages by yourself, unlike on some other more full distros

    EndeavourOS. Arch with an installer.
I like Torvalds' philosophy - if installing an OS gets in the way of me actually doing what I need to do, it is useless to me. If your career is tailored installations, vanilla Arch is amazing experience... but I don't personally go to a shoe shop expecting to be handed a couple of strips of leather and a glue gun and some nails.
That said, I do love the philosophy of Arch.

I really like EndeavourOS installed it on a laptop I had over the weekend and it is a very cool and sleek OS! I do like Linus Torvalds saying as well, but for me I have played around with those for quite some time and just wanted to try something different, but PopOS is still one of my favorites, thanks so much for the comment and watching. Also do you like Arch or Debian better and why?

I was daily driving Pop!_OS actually, still have it on most of my machines, but I veered away from it a bit when it delayed an update for the Flatpack vulnerability. Also sick of PopShop crashes hah. But I'm looking forward to Rust update. If I'm suggesting something to a friend, Debian (Pop) for sure. I like the AUR/Arch approach for myself though.

Hello I did hear about the Flatpack vulnerability, but I do not use PopOS much anymore but for Linux Distros it is one of my favorites. The reason I am not fully on Linux is because of Warzone if they would ever provide anti cheat support for Linux I would never go back to Windows as that is really the only thing I use Windows for is gaming. Thanks so much for the comment and watching my video!

Yep, gaming is what held me at arms-length from Linux for do many years. I always wanted to swap over but I played too many games with annoying extra requirements. But those requirements bothered me even in Windows, so now I boycott games with absurd requirements (or play them on a console if I can afford them).
Lutris and Heroic Game Launcher have made huge strides, though, and the Steam Deck means that there is better Proton support now as well.

I hope some day we can move fully over to Linux game playing!
