Sorry about your Dad. I am in my fifties and both parents are still alive, but I dread the day when I get that news. They've been there for me all these years. Anyway, yes the physical media era was a great one. I still buy blu-ray and DVD and kept most of my massive collection which probably included a couple of hundred VHS tapes. I also agree that there is something special about that time and we are totally overwhelmed with lesser content these days. I talk about this with my Dad all the time. He still keeps up with newer movies and he's mostly like, well that was bad. I can't go without watching something from the 90s or earlier when I see something new and underwhelming. The new generation can't distinguish most good and bad and like my buddy says, his kids don't even care about movies from any generation. What a loss.

Oh my goodness hold on to your Mom and Dad because once they are gone man it is heartbreaking!! I still remember the smell of the video store back then what good days those were! I really appreciate your kind words about my Dad he was a great man and I try to honor his memory with my life and how I treat people! He always said the new movies were horrible the stories are bad and many other things. It is very sad that the new generation cannot distinguish between pretty much good or bad in anything especially movies, and video games as well.
