Exynos is disappointing...but people dont care about these types of performance so samsung is continuously making big profits and we are getting bullshit phones that are overpriced plus nowhere near worth it. I'll keep an eye on the Oneplus 8pro, thats a whole package with no compromises👌

Guys, the video comparison isn't fair, he is playing the game on samsung and watching the game on snapdragon. If you watch your friends match using the spectate option, it won't use as much as resources and will be smooth than the actual device which is playing.
One year later is super optimize i got max 43C IN ANTUTU BENCHMARK i do this test 5x, test begin in 120hz mode. Now its super cold and nice battery life ;) my rog phone 5 its too much hotter and 6000mAh battery suck 4500. Exynos 990 to snapdragon 888 is only 2% battery power less :D its crazy.

My note10+ doesn’t lag as much as in the vid when I’m playing using wifi and under normal room temp. But it’ll throttle if I’m playing heavy games outdoor on 4g

why? at the beginning it was (0:26) exynos - 63% x 53% snap , and in the end i was 48% vs 41% (4:47), exynos spent 3% more.

Exynos has fallen behind when it comes to battery and performance for several years now. I had an Exynos S8 and SD S8 and SD always ran cooler, used less battery and performed better. I think it's largely due to optimisation, but yes on paper SD is the better chip.

I’m not 100 percent sure but I think the only issue with the Mali gpu is the throttle problem, if samsung manage to fix that then I think the Exynos would run game better and more consistent.

Download Game Plugins in the Galaxy Store, and install the Game Booster Plus, choose the Max FPS setting. It helps, one of my friend said that using it could keep the PUBG smooth extreme quite stable around 53-60fps.
It is sad that we have to adjust this and that, or use cooling fan, while the SD variant doesnt have to do that.
I try same result..the best way to do is install package disable pro . Then disable game launcher and game optimization service.. walla.. no frame drop..but device will get a little bit hot than normal

exynos should be in their midrange devices and sd865 on high end
If you know exynox version will get hot faster why not play on exynos first then only snapdragon version. Of course exynos will get lag because the phone has run the game for 20 mins. Bad review.
Samsung Need push optimization hard ,my friends mate 20pro run its hdr extreme smooth with no issues using the mali 76 .
Just upgrade from Xperia xz premium and I can say that there huge differences andreno just shade and make same graphic look better! Sd 835 had better graphics on same settings
the problem is not the gpu the exynos has some problems:
1.Their Custom chips are so big which makes them run hotter and it eventually throles
2. The exynos 990 has a tri-cluster design with 2 Custom Moongose cores, 2 Cortex A76 and 4 cortex a55, the problem here is that snapdragon 865 uses a diferent configuration, it is a 3 cluster as well but it is using 1 high clocked cortex a77 and 3 more cortex a77 lower clocked + 4 cortex A55, this configuration is more powerful than the 2 Moongose+ A76 and these cores are more efficient and smaller than the exynos.
3.Probally the governators of the CPU's behave different, the Snapdragon is probally organizing much better the data torough the Cores than the exynos
So if Samsung had used a77 with a simillar configuration to Qualcom probally we wouldn't be complaining about the exynos chip, but at the same time If only they kept doing their own chips and improve them would be better for us so we coud have someone in Android Compitting directly against Qualcom (Who alredy has the monopoly of processors).

A77 and a76 has difference ..bt it doesn't produce throttling as u can see in this.... Bcz A75 in sd845 is much stable in pubg performance than Exynos 990..

Bt this has no such a connection with arm a76 or their chip manufacturing technology
GPU all time 156 MHz in video (max speed is 800) so Samsung clearly trims down Exynos on purpose to produce less heat and battery drain...
Real Racing 3 at 120fps at ultra, or high, or whatever they both support, on both phones plz

Great video. This just shows that the mali GPU and exynos CPU is not optimized properly yet. The fact that the battery got so hot and exynos chipset was using so much power to maintain the frames shows that Samsung really has not optimized it yet, sort of like a badly optimised pc game. I feel Samsung know what they are doing and thats why they left the exynos 990 in the note 20 otherwise they would have pushed to have it changed like they did with the note 9 if I'm not mistaken. We just have to hang on for a few months.
Nope. There is no room further optimisation. The Exynos SoCs of the past 4 years were all garbage and 2 generations behind the competition. I stopped buying Samsung phones after I had the horrendous Exynos Galaxy S8+. Only the US gets the much better Snapdragon version because most reviewers are american.

All I can say is that looks like it's exynos mali GPU is causing the bottleneck of the chip ... Unoptimized Mali GPU literally running at less than 200mhz while the adreno side it's running higher speed at 300++ MHz
Tbfh it's CPU cores aren't the main issue causing stutterings it's more of the Mali GPU throttling those CPU cores and both Mali GPU and the CPU core isn't talking to each other in an optimized way compared to Snapdragon ....

That's because 5nm-based Exynos 992 might be too expensive to immediately put in that device.
Also, why Exynos is considered inferior to Snapdragon of its corresponding generations? Because it's not optimized to your comparisons! (990 might just potentially be able to complete with S865, what's a wasted potential)
Exactly, this video just shows that it isn't optimized. The note 20 has the exynos 990 and the SD 865+, I bet Samsung is going to optimized it until they basically the same otherwise they would have changed it. Its only a matter of time.

Last time it was compared to SD 855+ and the only difference from the previous SD processor seems like its much more battery efficient. Amd exynos is exynos... Still crap.
