just seeing your vids and thanks for taking time out. by far the best understanding vids. i actually ordered one an look forward to rewatching these vids. just gained a sub
SR and Bits let you change the bitrate and sample rate of the sample. It's used to emulate old school samplers like the EPS or SP1200, which had much lower sample and bit rates (SP1200 has a bitrate of 12 bits and a sample rate of about 26,000Khz.) More modern equipment utilizes 44.1Khz or more. It can help give your beats a more Lo-Fi touch, especially if you resample (get a drumbreak, add the SR and Bits along with a lowpass filter with the cutoff at 10,000, modulation envelope keep attack at 0 and crank the hold and decay to max, use the tune knob to increase the speed of the break to you liking, then record that break on another pad. If you tuned the drums, say +6, tune the new recorded break down -6. Boom. Grittier drums with sampling artifacts. Edit: Spelling lol
Hey, thanks so much for your amazing tutorials! Is there a way I can reset the sampling modifications to default, without erasing the sound and loading it back?
Another awesome vid. Thank You...I have a question though, regarding velocity. How can you fix the velocity for a specific event or sound on the hardware?
This is so useful, literally the equivalent of a paid class on maschine but free via Andrew! Thanks for this and great tutorial
Your the man. Deep tutorial for serious people. Thanks again
