Dude, i am from South Africa and own a Maschine Studio, Komplete Kontrol S-61 AND kOMPLETE 10 Ultimate. i am working hard to master the Maschine Hardware like you soon. you are unbe-fuckin-lievable dude!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Maschine God
I just got my Maschine mk2 in white. I love it! I'm still new and exploring it's capabilities and videos from artists such as yourself really blow my mind with the capabilities of this tool. I'm still clumsy with the workflow, so seeing how you work is a major inspiration and makes me want to stick with it and learn as much as possible to continue expanding my personal abilities and hopefully reach your level one day. I would truly appreciate it if you could do more videos like this with the camera set to allow us to see the screens on your Maschine. This would help me tremendously in understanding what you are doing. While the text does a great job of giving me an idea of what you are doing, not being able to see the menu you are in makes it all still seem like black magic, if that makes sense lol.
I know it may be kinda hard to go into detail, but could you walk me through how you combine all of your sounds on one group.? Soon I'm gonna send you some of my projects and hopefully I can get some critiquing..? Thanks for all your help. You've been the best I've seen regarding machine on TH-cam.
Carlos Spicher I collect the sounds in a few ways - sometimes internally sampling them onto the group, sometimes duplicating them over from existing groups, sometimes dragging them in from my computer. I can give feedback if it's audio files or questions or a video -- I can't go through your project files, sorry
Damn, i lost hope on trying to learn how to use one of these. Seems complicated but I still wanna try even though its gonna take me forever to learn everything, even if i start today. Great stuff though 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼 U have a talent that most people only dream about..✌🏼
It really is very nice man I love it and I barely know how to use it. Just messing around with it and creating your own rhythms is beyond fun. On top of that Andrew has excellent tutorials to teach the maschine controls and if you have an ear for music you can really create any full featured beat with just the pad. Some of the stuff I've heard people do live with maschine is more complex than beats I've spent hours on making in fruity loops, quite impressive.
how did you get A.) that high note playing the sound in a scale and B.) the synth to play in chords? and C.) was that synth in an expansion or did you make that sound (or where is it from) and D.) how do you slice up a sample so that with a bunch of pads, you can play the same sample just from different spots? and finally, can A, B and D be accomplished with the Mikro mk2? thanks so much, I love your music and mikro tutorials!
I need help the service center doesn't open & it says something like the plugins aren't connected & some instrumentals don't work like it doesn't read them help me
I use to use native instruments but i stop messing with them due to the fact that the hardware display on the Maschine mk2, when i try to edit on the start and end it moves on its on the display ,meaning I have to disconnect the hardware and do it manually with the mouse, i tried to ask for help in their website support but they wont help me, and the worsed thing is that they dont have parts here in mexico for native instruments thats why i switch to MPC akai.
Great as always Andrew! Please tell me one thing. How you record samples from group B on the pad from different group (group C)? I have mikro with 2.3 softvare. Tnx
+andrewchellmanmusic Thank you, i totaly forgot existence of groups input for internal sampling. That's because i have different work flow when arrange my pads for sampling. Thank you again and have a nice day! cheers
are these the sounds machine comes with? i can never find the right bass sounds or any sounds that are unique, but on the songs already pre made they have tons they used. I'm starting to think only the expansion pack have what I'm seeking
+illedelphian23 Maschine sounds and Komplete 9, that's what I use. Expansions are nice but don't underestimate how much you can do with what's provided with Maschine (I think it comes with Komplete Select now). Massive is your friend
Hello Escuse me I need you help?? is a emergency, I bought one maschine mk2 used in perfect conditions but I have a big problem I tried to register it with the serial code it has in the back but when I do it says in red words ‘invalid serial’ so I tried to talk with the last owner and it is impossible! They can’t transfer me the license!! So I try to contact native instruments by email but I received and automatic message, they give a link but I don’t have any access to the info I need 🤷🏻♂️ so could you tell me what should I do, can I have any hope?? Or definetely the best way is sell it, at the same time that’s very sad becouse it doesn’t have any cosmetic demage and I think all is working perfectly!! Please help me!!
This is splendid. Is all the nob-work you did at the end (faders, mixing etc) possible to perform on the Mikro? I would love to be able to do this live. Cause it's only got one nob :\
+Braleven Thanks man. Yes it's all possible just would take wayyy longer. Keep using the Mikro and hold out for a MK3? Or look for a used MK2 since you already have the software.
Hi Andrew What do you think about buy an used Maschine mk2 with 2.0 software for 360 £ ? Should I pay the extra money and go for a new one? Thanks and congratulations for your channel.
Brais Andújar Villar Check it out, make sure all the buttons and pads work and make sure the software is unregistered so you can use it. If it functions as brand new, no reason to spend the extra!
+Anthony Davis HEY JUST GO TO FILE -> export audio. It will export whatever you have selected as a WAV, so make sure to select all your scenes if you want to export the entire track.
sesone I can't remember exactly but they were all from Komplete 9/Komplete Select. Just resampling NI synths. The vocal was from the Converse sample library
Im curious as to how you recorded chords/bass, etc. You're using Maschine's internal sampler, correct? How did you route sounds to then be sampled in Group C? Awesome performance!
***** I'll try to get a video up, but the basics for grouping happens with link group. Hit the pad mode button and put sounds you want to group together in the same link group.
Blu Print Thanks man!
The moment at 4:55 where it really comes together was so satisfying.
My favorite part of the process, no doubt haha
andrewchellmanmusic drums are swinging like crazy. soo so good

The samples were from all over - Maschine, re-sampled from synths, internet, etc
Ok! Thanks!

This video was really inspiring. I'm definitely motivated to get to this level of live performing with my MK2.
Man, you are the best I've seen with the Maschine--no competition.

Wonderfull sound bass
What I find to be the most amazing is how you do it all on maschine and barely touch your laptops
I think that is why I've been looking into the maschine mk2 over other setups. It is full of amazing features.

PLEASE MAKE A SONG WITH THIS SAMPLE. I WILL PAY 4 THAT
Great as always Andrew!
Please tell me one thing. How you record samples from group B on the pad from different group (group C)?
I have mikro with 2.3 softvare. Tnx
+Goran “KIBU” Pejcic You can use internal sampling, just set the source to the group you want to record
+andrewchellmanmusic Thank you, i totaly forgot existence of groups input for internal sampling. That's because i have different work flow when arrange my pads for sampling. Thank you again and have a nice day! cheers

That was way cool! Have a video where you narrate and do it step by step a little slower to use for some inspiration?
John Ny Thanks man! I don't have a more in depth video but I can try to put one up eventually.

andrewchellmanmusic Good idea, thanks :)
Wow.
setting up the chords and arps features exclusive to 2.0 software or is it available in 1.8?
+Ocularis Van Leer Exclusive to 2.3 and beyond
Definitely time to upgrade lol I've had the first one since 2010. Thinking I should get the studio now
this shits tight!
Cool video.Do you use macro in the end of the video for the filter ? How did u get this "noise" effect ?
Wheres that food for thought sample from? Please answer!
?
hey while recording and you play with the knobs will it record the change or nah... of if that made any sense....
***** If it's playing back, hold the "auto write" button and turn any knobs, and Maschine will record modulation
sweet thanks ... ill just get the mk2 over the studio then..
***** The Mk2 is great for sure!!
Are you using the updated 2.0 software with the mk2
PSYCHE DESIGNS Yes
Hi Andrew
What do you think about buy an used Maschine mk2 with 2.0 software for 360 £ ?

Where do you get di sample/kit? do you buy it or you just make it? and can we cut a song and make a sample with that song?
Marvel Gibran The drums were from my own collection that I've built up
Please gather me from Egypt and I want to know the price of this device because it is not available in our markets
Great video! What drums are you using here?
Ivan Yakubov Thanks! These are from the internet, not sure where exactly. Sorry
hey I JUST MADE A BEAT WITH MACHINE MIKRO HOW DO I SAVE IT SO WHEN I SEND IT OUT PEOPLE CAN HEAR IT WITHOUT HAVING MACHINE
+Anthony Davis HEY JUST GO TO FILE -> export audio. It will export whatever you have selected as a WAV, so make sure to select all your scenes if you want to export the entire track.
thank you really appreciate that
What keys did you use to get that chord?
+xXiTzLOKZXx I used the built-in chord generator
Hey Andrew, what's going on in Mystery Group A. How come we never see it? Does it a have a special purpose?
LB
+Brian Lai Haha that's the group I originally used to make the kit, I'm re-doing it in this video
I really don’t understand. Can you please provide a step by step guide to what your doing?
does this work on its own or do you need something to make it work?
Love these sounds! did you get them directly from the mk2?
+dadadatumbatumb Mk2 and Komplete 9 !
+andrewchellmanmusic when downloading complete 9 did you have to install the sounds on your hard drive?
What sounds did you use?! Love them
sesone I can't remember exactly but they were all from Komplete 9/Komplete Select. Just resampling NI synths. The vocal was from the Converse sample library
Is there a tutorial on setting up your pads like this?
+Kevin Viloria Yes indeed, part one is here and I am working on part two for this weekend.
th-cam.com/video/gNRlDD18ROg/w-d-xo.html
+andrewchellmanmusic thanks! I'll be looking forward to part 2
Im curious as to how you recorded chords/bass, etc. You're using Maschine's internal sampler, correct? How did you route sounds to then be sampled in Group C? Awesome performance!
Mike Ash Right, the internal sampler set to pick up sound from the master bus! That way it works across the different groups.
andrewchellmanmusic thank you!
any tutorials on this workflow? like how you grouped some sounds together and other stuff that was hard to follow as well.
***** I'll try to get a video up, but the basics for grouping happens with link group. Hit the pad mode button and put sounds you want to group together in the same link group.
So do you just record each song into a new group?
what are the synth samples that you are using?
fantomseed From Massive I believe
andrewchellmanmusic thanks for the response, I appreciate how you always answer questions that people ask.
Are you still planning on doing some finger drumming tutorials? Great vid again by the way
Ryan Green Yes those will probably be the next thing!
What are the chords you are using
that sound at 1:52... does that come with maschine or and external plugin? i love the ambience! well done, my friend
do you sell soul sample packs?
