    What a great series even after 7 years, thank you so much.

      was thinking the same, I put this in my "watch later" and was going through them today, gave it a full watch and it's such a fun and unique way to do a performance, by building the scenes as you go. Newer version of maschine hardware (MK3) and the software have other ways to do similar things, with the snapshot lock and snapshot transition features, as well as the Ideas view, but this way is a tried and true way to really engage and "go for it" when it comes to putting the pressure on yourself to build and perform this live. Andrew Chellman's videos were the best... haven't seen much from him lately, hopefully he's still engaged in creating content.

      @@SeanMadden I accidentally stumbled upon a second-hand Mk2 and was surprised by its build quality and integration with the software. Serrious jams to be made with this stuff. Niice that you enjoyed this as well, Sean.

      @@rayderrich Yea, I've had a Mikro Mk2 for about 7 years or so now... had to put it away for a couple years due to having 3 kids in the last 6 years, but broke it back out again. I love that no matter what version of Maschine hardware you have, you're able to apply the same principles and concepts,(the buttons and steps used to do so may just be slightly different) and the possibilities of how to use it are endless. it's a one stop shop device for me for all my production needs.

    • @rayderrich
      @rayderrich ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@SeanMadden I waste a lot of time on figuring out all types of jams but perhaps I should just focus on my Maschine for 30 days to see what it could do for me. Superb that you found it back again.

    I watched all 14 of these over the last two days. These are awesome. I got a lot of tricks that I did not know. I started from the first even though I have owned my maschine for a year now. It is amazing how I learned something from each video. Thanks for sharing these are great.

    Really great video series! Super helpful! And I will definitely be using this performance technique, very nice way of keeping everything sequenced and not relying on my own less-than-stellar pad skills. 😏
    Up until now I've been mainly using a Korg Electribe SX and a Boss SP-505, never really using any comp software, but this looks like a really excellent "best of both worlds" setup.
    In fact, I just ordered one of these and am wildly pumped about it...also looking forward to rewatching all of these videos. Excellent work! The best I've seen. You've of course gained a sub. 😊

    Hello, ADSR!
    I'm very fan of your tutorial series, specially Sylenth and Massive. I was learned a lot with videos like Unique EDM Pluck, Neo 80's Lead (Massive), Dirty Up Your Saw Leads and Airy EDM Progressive House Pluck (Sylenth). I want to thank you for that.
    This message is for know if you accept requests for make sounds in one of this plugins, because in my computer them works better that others like Zebra, FM8 or Absynth, for example.
    I want to know how I can make the sounds of Oliver Nelson, and if you can make tutorials explaining them. The sounds (that are two) can be heard in the intro of his remixes 'New York' and 'Deja Vú', both from the band Urban Cone. That patches are similar, but not equal.
    I hope your answers. Thanks in advance and regards from Venezuela!
    P.D.: Sorry for my bad english.

    Hi, is there a way to tempo nudge a sequence? I fingerdrum and sequence live as part of my dj sets and want to sync my maschine with my cdjs. I've setup maschine to follow a midi clock either from traktor or directly from my mixer but I occasionally need to nudge the track slightly to keep it in time. I've tried a workaround where I use maschine as a vst in ableton but the latency I get in unbearable. Thanks in advance.

    • @Adsrsounds
      @Adsrsounds  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +AKSO Official I have never had to do that, and I haven't heard anyone doing that, so I'm not sure, sorry...would it be easier to render stuff down to audio and work with that?

    • @aksoofficial
      @aksoofficial 9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +ADSR Music Production Tutorials Hi again, that's fine. Thanks for replying so quickly. I have considered rendering to audio but am also trying to avoid that since it would be prepared clips that I'll working with and I really like some of the stuff maschine allows you to do live...there is some form of magic in the spontaneity I suppose :) I also like the fact that working with kits rather than prepared sequences should theoretically allow you to work with any genre and tempo (taking into account the key etc of course)...doesn't always work but I hope you understand what I mean :)
      Anyway, thanks again for the prompt reply.

    so how would you actually approach playing multiple songs in maschine? i have a bunch of tracks made pretty much only with maschine (some routing to ableton, just for basic fxs, but all the samples, sequences, etc, its all done in maschine). at this point, since i have enough tracks, i would like and try to record a 'live set' at home just for fun, and would like to use maschine to do it, since all of my tracks are made with it. but what would be the best approach to having multiple songs in it, without having to load one project at a time (which would stop the audio anyway, therefore is unwanted)

    Hi Andrew, great video! Is there a way to click on the 'performance' function with the mikro? Or do switch it on in the software itself?

  • @tedcoleside2308
    @tedcoleside2308 9 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hello, very nice tutos!!! One question there:how are the live capabilities of the mikro?
    Could you do the same with it like in the video?
    regards

    • @Adsrsounds
      @Adsrsounds  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ted coleside Thanks! The Mikro requires more menu searching and button pressing in some instances, but you can still do a performance like this one on it. I recommend the Mikro for beginners or for producers on the road a lot, it's so easy to carry with you.

    Hey Andrew, please keep these great videos coming, they're all amazingly helpful :) I commented on another video of you the other day, but maybe this one is a better place to ask my question:
    How do you record these live sessions ? I know about exporting scenes and groups etc. but for this kind of video you want to have the audio match the video ergo you want to record all the sounds in real time.
    I tried routing Maschine into Logic, but that doesn't quite do the deal for me as there, too, you can only trigger and record already existing scenes and not record just any sound you tap on. (Or did I forget something ?)
    If you could help me with that, I'd be very grateful ! Best, Jo

    Hi men I've watch all your tutorials and i want to thank you because they're all great and very well explained !
    Maybe you can help me, I want to play live techno/deep house set with my maschine only but i can't figure out how to do a simple but yet very important function.
    I like to launch like my lead first, changing a LOT of parameter of the sound (like cut off, resonance,..) and then reseting all parameters to normal while launching the kick in the same time. But I can't find a way to reset all the parameter with one move, is there no function for that in the maschine software ? It would really be a shame because except that it's a really powerful tool for live performance.
    Thank you for your time and sorry for my bad english !

    • @Adsrsounds
      @Adsrsounds  9 ปีที่แล้ว

      Vanandruel Titouan Thanks, glad you like the videos! There is no "set to default" option as far as I know, but you could get around this by duplicating the synth lead. On one copy, make all your changes, but on the other, leave it as-is. That way, when you need to launch the "normal" synth, just use the one you didn't change.

    • @OgTitouan

      Hmmm yes that's a good workaround but I find it difficult to do that and in the same time changing 2 pattern in two different group in real time. You can do that the way you do it in the video bellow but I find it a little bit counter intuitive. Is it possible to use another external gear like a launchpad mapped to maschine to launch different pattern in different group the way you do it in ableton live with clips ?

    First of all I must say you made some of the best Maschine videos! Thanks a lot for that! For the same reason I can't see nobody better to ask for help on it :)
    So, the question is...
    I want to use 2 USB keyboards on my setup playing it one different sounds from different groups, but cannot find how to do this working... it's not so simple 'cos even when addressing different MIDI channels for that when you change the group the keyboard linked to that group stops responding... can you help me on it, please? Thanks a lot!

    • @Adsrsounds
      @Adsrsounds  9 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      AmauriBR Glad you enjoy the videos! Maschine 2.3 is coming out soon and this will include an option in the MIDI settings that prevents the keyboard from playing the sound that Maschine is focused on. When the new update is released, you can set up the two different sounds with different channel MIDI inputs. I am not the best with MIDI routing, but I can usually figure it out with some messing around. The new update will help though!

      ***** Just updated to 2.3 and is already working fine with 2 keyboards playing different sounds and I can change groups and they still play fine. Then I tried on 3 keyboards and it worked great as easy as it should be. Native has done a tremendous job here. I can't even wait to perform live with this set. I'm feeling like Rick Wakeman now :D Thank so much to Native Instruments & ADSR!!!
