Youhave no idea how much it means to me to have found this channel after so many dead ends and disappointments try to get BPD treatment/ therapy. Not rich = not good therapy easily (or at all) found.

Great tips! I definitely noticed a huge difference once I started being able to notice my warning signs and develop a regimen that helps me maintain balance. It's been way easier for me to prevent episodes (when possible) rather than trying to calm down during one but my episodes have lessened in severity over the past year because I've learned to reduce stressors and work through so many of my triggers

I cannot thank all of you enough for sharing your experiences. I am a Clinical Psychologist who treats those with these situations. You present such a positive “picture” that I wish (and pray) every channel that covers BPD would be the same. God Bless you all. Dr. Jessie ❤

I found what really helps me in my episodes is trying to get into a headspace where I can really think, I usually try to remind myself that my trauma are a learning opportunity. That it's only traumatic because I haven't figured out the correct solution to the situation at hand, it doesn't empty the emotional bottle straight away but usually if I catch my episodes early enough, it makes it much more manageable.

Today I went to run some errands and its enough that I anticipate somethings will go wrong, in the sense of weird stares, which trigger me. Today I had smiled at a retail person after she had answered a question and she looked at me in her eyes it appeared she thought I was weird. I did not react, but when I got home, it tanked my mood. I felt horrible that someone would judge me like that. I already feel weird and this just triggered me badly. For a few hours I just felt horrible and like I should just curl in a ball and disappear. It's so hard to get out of an episode I swear. I was packing boxes and still felt bad. What would you suggest?
