@@UnderToWonder That's lovely. Sadly it's forbidden to feed feral pigeons in my city. If they do catch you, you'll have to pay a hefty fine. They assume that starving pigeons won't reproduce, which is not even true. It's just cruelty.
@@kimvarki In my city too, but i do it secretly early in the morning on my way to work under a bridge, just throw food on the place where rarely someone comes. Nowday`s i often dont see them cuz it`s dark in germany. And i do only all 2-3 days cuz when im sick (like corona) they have to search food on another place and so they know where to search. I dont want them to be fully addicted to me. But so they can have happy day`s. Not the best life but better than only hungry and only watch for food.
These pigeons are lucky to have you ! 🥰 It's great what you do for them !!! 👏👏👏 I also feed a group of pigeons in my garden with sparrows. But I worry because if I were to be gone for a few days, how would they react ? I fear that they will feel abandoned, disconcerted and will no longer know where to find their food. How could I do it ? What do you recommend ? Thank you in advance for your answer
@@madell64 thanks for taking care of them.. there are food silos for pigeons and smaller birds you could fill so they have food while you away.. i know the feeling but i think its ok for them if you are away a few days.. its not nice but they will be even more happy to see you when you are back!
@@Karamarie.Thank you very much for your answer 😊 I had thought about silos but these poor city pigeons are so hungry that they eat as long as there is food ! And the more I put in, the more they come. So I'm afraid they'll finish all the food in a day or two 😢
Hi! Pigeons usually stick to their flock so it's not normal to see one completely alone. If there are no others around it could perhaps be a lost homing pigeon, does it have a ring around one of its legs?? If not can it fly okay? Can you see if it is injured or anything?
The lonely pidgeon needs to be taken inside and taken good care of and loved, he/she is somebody's lost one. The ownet probably is looking for the pidgeon.

Do pigeons travel alone? How come there's this 1 pigeon that keeps on coming to our home alone.
