I had only started playing D&D in the last several years, and one of the players at my table introduced me to the Drizzt novels.
Ten-Towns will always be that place Drizzt finally made his home.

I can't wait for it to be out, I'll compose special ambiences just for that campaign! 🎵 I already have some blizzard and cold/arctic ambiences, but dedicated ambience may be even better.

All the lesser towns falling and survivors rallying a last stand... sounds interestingly specific

Yeah, The Crystal Shard details this.

Icewind Dale will make for a good resource to mine for my dark Icelandic inspired fantasy D&D setting.

I loved the books but he called a character after a beef stew... always found that jarring. They are the Mills and Boon of fantasy :) fun and easy to read.

Did Salvatore help with the design at all?

Dear DND and WOTC: Please use some of the sale from Rime of the Frostmaiden to buy Perkins a decent mic, and hire a new audio tech engineer. Excited for the new book.!

This question is the D&D version of 'when is International Men's Day?'.

Carcosa meaning an actual holiday that is played down and labeled as bigotry, ironically disproving that actual equality is the end goal for those that spout off concepts such as social justice?
Dark Sun was a grimdark setting with slavery. Too many Twitter users with blue checkmarks would complain and screech “Triggered.” I fear how much WotC would water down Dark Sun to appease the mob.

I'm kind of hoping they bring Ulutiu back. A clash of winter deities would be cool.

Surprised he didn’t mention that the knucklehead trout are food and their bones are wealth.

Yes, Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden equips Dungeon Masters with everything you need to run an adventure for characters level 1 to 12.

Is ice-fishing not a thing in Icewind Dale...? I mean, Inuit tribes could do it in the Stone Age? No offense intended to indigenous native people, I actually really admire the ingenuity of their survival skills. Everybody came from from rubbing sticks together at some point, ya know.

In the Drizzt books it absolutely is. They get these fish they use to make scrimshaw stuff which is a main export. (Think ivory carving type stuff)
