This band is just something else man, all members absolutely kill it live. I can't wait for someone to request TEAR OFF YOUR CHAIN & NO MORE TEARS, these are some of my favorite songs by them.
The song's originally from the 2015 concept album "Under the Force of Courage" but I think this show is from 2017, on a d v d dropped in 2018. Last time I saw Galneryus live was in 2019, a four-act bill with Mary's Blood, Takayoshi Ohmura (Babymetal's Kami Band, among many other distinctions), and Unlucky Morpheus. I don't remember the exact setlist but Galneryus played this song. All acts onstage for the encore-stunning.
I'd love to fly over and see them, but can't book show tickets from outside of Japan :((
@@stevenfoster8601 I live in Japan so don't have that problem but I understand what you're saying. Perennial problem. For some big events like certain fests it's not a problem but for many individual bands' shows it can be. Some bands will have a procedure for fans overseas, such as fanclub members. There is info available about options (can't specify where because y t will eat it) for buying tickets in Japan. Some people have used the address of a hotel near the venue of the show as the required domestic address then booked a room at that hotel once the ticket was bought.

Just a reminder that there are all male bands in Japan that are exceptional, the ladies don't have a monopoly on great music out of Japan. Been around a long time and are truly all gifted. SYU is such an underappteciated guitarist. His playing of the old masters works is just an experience in and of itself. Once again, LIVE is where this band truly shines, much like all the great Japanese bands.

3rd lead singer? From what I know there is just 2, YAMA-B and Masatoshi Ono also known as "SHO". Never heard about anything about 3rd so imo that info is very probably incorrect.

Ok so to clear it up here’s a basic rundown of Galneryus (going off of memory so it might not be 100% accurate.) The band was formed with syu (guitarist) and YAMA-B (vocalist) around 2001, they originally had some members from syu’s other bands before such as valkyr and aushvitz join temporarily with them changing a few things up before settling on yuki (keyboardist) yu-to (bassist, and future member for babymetals band thing they have) and Jun-ichi (drummer.) The first change up they had was with yu-to leaving after only a few years or so if I remember correctly, with him being replaced with the current bassist taka. The next member to leave was YAMA-B due to musical conflict in the direction of the bands sound between him and syu, he left around 2009 just after there album reincarnation which is there heaviest and darkest album to date (it’s also the one album I own of there’s on cd) he was replaced with the current lead singer Masatoshi “sho” Ono, who was previously a very successful singer in the 90’s performing mainly ballads such as your the only (which Galneryus made a special version of it for there ep beginning of the resurrection), sho’s first appearance on a Galneryus record was from there 3rd covers album voices from the past III which was then followed by beginning of the resurrection and then there first album with sho, called resurrection. Now the band remained mostly the same up until after the release of there album under the force of courage, drummer jun-ichi left the band, and he was replaced by fumiya who would go on to be the drummer for unlucky Morpheus, now this only lasted so long since he was spreading his time between both bands at the time, and had to make a decision where he ended up going with unlucky Morpheus around 2019 after the release of there album into the purgatory. He was then replaced not long after by the current drummer LEA who actually started out doing drum covers of Galneryus songs and uploading them to TH-cam, I’m pretty sure he was also in a Galneryus cover band. So yeah that brings us to the current lineup of founding member syu on guitar, 2nd longest member yuki on keyboard, 3rd longest with taka on bass, 4th longest with sho on vocals, and finally the newest member Lea on drums. (Oh btw the lineup from this video was from 2017 so the only difference was the drummer being fumiya.) Hopefully I got everything right and this clears up any and all confusion
There is and was only one guitarist in Galneryus and that is Syu, he is the founder and leader of Galneryus !
With a guitar God like Syu there is no room for another guitarist.
