As a teacher I can tell you it’s those kind of parents who never scheduled a conference, never responds to emails, will come get kids out of school for early dismissal to get to a hair appointment, then want to call and email when you reprimand their child. Thank goodness for good administration who will have our backs all day everyday against those kind of parents. Shout out to parents who sent a message saying “ hey I just want to touch base and see how everything is going since we last spoke. Let me know how so can support him/her at home”. See those are the kind of parents I don’t mind running by real quick to the house to drop off homework because he/she was absent.

You Better Say This! See, I was scared for a teacher to call my Moma, and my kids knew a teacher better not call me saying you acting up at the school. But some kids aren’t respecting nothing! Wish my Moma would have gotten a call talking about I’m exchanging words with the teacher.
The school called me to tell me my daughter wasn’t in class today, so she must be skipping and it’s so unusual that they want us to work together and nip this in the bud. My daughter worked on the school newspaper and they were in a workshop that day, and when they told her they had called me, she told them, “you are going to call my Moma back and tell her you were mistaken”! And they did.

Look here... I'm a special education assistant and have been in the classroom for 14 years. We go through hell. The parents pick and choose when they involve themselves in their children's education smh. You send letters home, but the parents never check the children's backpack so they never see it 🤦🏽‍♀️. You call but the parent recognizes the number immediately so they won't answer. Yet they will come up to the school in a rage because they're child got a their shoes dirty during recess 🤦🏽‍♀️. I wish I was lying...but I'm not 😩

This so true!! I have a friend who is a Teacher.. told a parent that her child is disrespectful and doesn’t listen to me. She has the nerve to tell her “ the same energy she give him he will give back “.. She told her a 4 year old should not have any type of energy when he is trying to interrupt my class.
