Hello Rob, there is a recent survey for AoM Retold and your videos are the answer to one of the questions; which pantheons or gods do you want to see? I hope the devs and upper management see your videos.

@RobbyLAVA *originally* , to be a virgin didn't mean having never had sex; it meant to be sexually *unobtainable* (as in, unable to be claimed via marriage or something similar) & unmarked by sexual *immorality* . That only changed when Christianization led to sex *itself* being branded immoral (ridiculous, but what happened); but *before* that, as long as you remained unobtainable & unmarked by sexual immorality, one could have all the sex they wanted, & still be considered a virgin (hence Gefjun being a virgin but also having sons)
Also, Loki, Skadi, Aegir, & Hel are *also* Jötnar, so being a Jötunn doesn't necessarily mean they can't be gods either. In fact, based on the Norse creation myth, I've for a long time felt that the Aesir & Vanir are simply two different groups of Jötnar who decided to try to *distance* themselves from their Jötunn ancestors; & the fact that all it takes for a Jötunn to become a god is to swear a blood pact or marry one of the gods certainly suggests as much, as does the fact that the gods often still banged Jötnar of the opposite sex.
Also, I *do* like the idea of splitting the Norse into the Aesir, the Vanir, & the Jötnar; Freyja is just *way* too important a goddess in Norse mythology to be relagated to *minor* deity status, she should *totally* be a major goddess, & I honestly can't help but feel the Jötnar are *horribly* misrepresented in the game, just being the stereotypical evil giants pop culture depicts them as *all the time* ; having a Jötun pantheon would allow them to be depicted in a far more *nuanced* way that's true to the actual Norse myths. I even have an idea for a Jötun pantheon *hero* ; *Starkaður* , a hero of Jötunn blood (in some versions full Jötunn, in others half), who's both a great hero *&* a great villain; the latter due to being cursed by Þór. The addition of a Jötunn pantheon would allow for a campaign based on his story, which I think'd be *really* cool.
PS: from what I read, Sinmara was *Surtrs* wife, not Mimirs.

Honestly surprised you managed to find some people I'd never even heard of. Well done!

Hi Robby! Thanks for the video. It was very interesting to watch. A couple of suggestions for your proposed threads:
    - Oaths of protection (Frigg): It could be a god power that provides invulnerability to hack, crush and divine damage, but full vulnerability to pierce damage. Either to all units in an area for a limited time, or to a single unit permanently.
    - Advisor to the gods (Mimir): A technology that gives bonus attack or armor for a limited time against a unit (type) that kills one of your own units.
    - Blindness (Hodur): A technology that makes pierce attacks ignore armor, but reduces accuracy.
    - Keeper of the eski (Fulla): Could be a power that starts the cooldown of another power, so it can be stacked for multicast (you'd still need to have the favor available).
Also... you (you of all people, Robby!) made a video about Norse gods and you **didn't** make Heimdall's nine mothers a single minor good? Wasted potential right there - but maybe you are saving them for the primordial list?
    Still a nice video. Cheers!

Great ideas! I admit I’m a little out of my depth when it comes to talking about the actual myths, but everything you suggested sounds cool enough!

I honestly would be curious if you were add gods/diety to the Atlanteans, but fitting in your Chryseon "fix". Just to see what can you take out of your hat of surprising ideas

The only part I disagree with is the suggestion that Frigga & Freyja are the same goddess; their nature's are too different for that to be the case in my opinion (Freyja's every bit as bloodthirsty as Óðinn, which's why she became the queen of the Valkyrjar in the *first* place). The rest I agree with.

@@ezrafaulk3076 yeah the problem is that we will never know for sure so idk theyre the same person or not idk we will never know

@eleemaeli1830 we'll never know for *sure* true, but we can make educated guesses based on how they're depicted in the myths; Frigga seems to be more like a loving mother, doting, & averse to violence, whereas Freyja's very sexually promiscuous & bloodthirsty to the point where she rules the Valkyrjar themselves, & take the first pick of those slain in battle, the most handsome, to *her* hall Sessrumnir. That's a pretty stark personality difference.
