  • The Cream Cheese Roll Cake Recipe (pan size: 21 x 31 cm)
    The cake:
    4 eggs
    40g milk (3tbsp)
    40g oil (3 tbsp)
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    65g cake flour (1/2 cup + 1 tbsp)
    The cream cheese filling:
    80g cream cheese (2/3 cup)
    200ml heavy cream
    30g sugar (2.5 tbsp)

    *** The oven temperature in the video is the inside oven temperature.
    ***Tips for making sponge cakes:
    Have all ingredients ready before starting
    Weigh the ingredients with a scale
    Figure out your oven, each oven is different
    Always pre heat the oven
    Use the oven thermometer
    Use room temperature eggs
    Fold the egg yolk and egg white mixture gently, don't over mix
    The best time to roll the cake is when it just cools down (about 30 minutes after baking)

    Such an easy recipe to follow and it came out soooo soft and fluffy, it melted in my mouth. I might be using these for future events because everyone is in love with it! :D

    Here in Switzerland we call this cake "Roulade", which highly confuses the Germans as a Roulade for them is rolled meat.

      I did not add but if you want extra fluffy you can add 1/2tsp baking powder

      Hi, thank you. I think it is a little bit underbaked, maybe next time you can try to bake longer 5 -10minutes so the cake skin can become thicker.

      Try using a different brand of parchment paper
      I switched the brand and that solved the problem

      Leave it for a day and fill it with whipped cream or some other filling, the smell with go away

      60g Sugar, the rest of the ingredients are in the description box
      No baking powder, the Whipped Egg White makes the cake rise

      You can use any brand as long as 9% protein but not > 10 or 13%. Cake flour
