Great product. Noticed a huge difference instantly once I installed it on my 2012 F150 v8 5.0. Posted a video and review of it as well. This is a must have product.
Twice It has thrown an engine light. Can’t remember the code but had something to do with the oil dipstick or reservoir coming loose. On factory mode it doesn’t do it. Wondering if the cold air intake would have anything to do with it combined with this?
Is this just like changing the drive mode on the stock truck to sport mode? What does this improve over the factory drive modes? I can maybe see the race mode on this doing a little something but confused as to what this brings to the table.
It allows you to keep the truck in normal mode while getting the throttle response of sport mode. The benefit of that is the gear shifting in normal mode is a lot smoother and will not hold gears like sport mode. I drive in sport mode 90% of the time but sometimes it would be nice to stay in normal mode due to the smoother shifts.
Yeah it doesn’t make it “faster” it just picks up more easily when your truck is at a stop, now with that said, it just shifts the gears either slower or faster depending on what mode you’re on.
Sometimes on my ecoboost there's lag coming off a full stop. Would this get rid of that? I mean, i push pedal and sometimes it jumps it almost comes on too hard or jumps like lag in a video game, lol.
2013 3.5 ecoboost. Just installed in the hopes it would eliminate the lag but unfortunately it did not. Still have to play with it but I’m gonna clean my throttle body tomorrow and go from there. Seems like the lag is more prominent when my A/C is running.
While you can stack these devices its always best to check with your tuner first. Now if you're running a canned tune from sct I would feel it out as far as sensitivity- most of the time aftermarket tunes will increase throttle input/sensitivity so depending on the mode you are in the truck may seem a bit 'jumpy'. -Justin
AmericanTrucks Ford Thanks for the feedback, right now I have SCT 93 octane tune on my f150 and its great but if I could make the response faster that would be awesome. I just don’t want to stack this on to the tune and nothing happens or this issues.
Sorry but this controller does not do what you think it does. It does nothing to eliminate the communication lag between the pedal and the TB. All it does is increase the sensitivity of the pedal and narrow the range between idle/WOT. Your testing even shows that it does nothing but increase the sensitivity as you can see the voltage range shift making it more sensitive. The OEM computer itself is what causes the lag and adjusting pedal sensitivity will not resolve that issue. Only a proper tune will eliminate the delay lag. Correct testing for lag resolution would have been variable sporadic depressions of the pedal and monitoring the reaction time of the TB in correlation to the pedal with the engine running and the truck moving so that the computer is getting all the normal data it would when the actual lag issues occur.
Just installed. Love it, immediate throttle response. I need to play with the other modes. For now I like the performance .
That's what we like to hear! Thanks for watching, Eric! -Zach

Does this default to the last setting every time you start your truck?
It saves which ever setting you choose.
Mine won’t turn on?? Also when I reinstalled the stock cables my gas pedal won’t work and throwing codes. Can someone help? I have a 17’ f150
So how can I do this on my 07?
Once you pick your setting can you unplug the controller from the unit? Rather not mount to my dash if possible.

It can be use as pto in heavy trucks? Like tipper, garpage, vacuum truck????

Does this include 2021?
Is there any versión for a 05 f150
Just ordered one, curious what happens when you use the factory Sport & Tow Haul mode with this installed?
Uh nothing lmao. This makes throttle response better while the haul mode just changes shit points

That's exactly why products like this exist- to make things more consistent and remove that perceived 'lag' from the experience. -Justin

Can this be used on a 2014 f150 3.5 ecoboost??
If you never got an answer, yes you can, just got one

This thing lasted less than a year on my truck

Sounds like I wasted 250$ on pedal commander.
bobby was about to pull the trigger on pedal commander too. Glad I ended up waiting.
I paid 70 for mine n it works awesome
wow
This controller works excellent! Easy to install, and does exactly what it's intended to do. But...why does this guy look like he's stoned?
I think ur stoned.
